Seeing things as they really are is using trough meditation our respiration and senses. Our senses are constantly stimulated by the environment, by meditation on our senses: smell, taste, sight, touch, hearing, together they form the basic thinking (cittam, manas, Buddhi). By distinguishing these senses first, you profound the focus, concentration perceive better: the coolness of the air in your nostrils, the sound in the area, the pain which feels in any part of the body, so you increase your consciousness. Each sense has its own effect on the thinking also seeing pictures, movies, TV programs. By taking the sense as object of the meditation you better understand aversions and what it has for impact on the mind.
Understanding the suffering from stress, burnout or depression this meditation technique is very beneficial. Meditation is paying attention “just” on your breath and your mind. Perceiving the attention by observing the abdominal wall, the rise and fall of the abdomen. To keep this focus we increase the concentration. Every thought or emotion, each mental impurity that comes at the mind is reflected in the breath by the sensations of that moment. By observing breath and sensation, we notice very quickly that the impurities solve. If we persevere, we end up and all impurities disappear and rest. We are better of trough meditation but also better for others.
The breath is central during the yoga class, the breath helps us to relax. A day not breathing well is a day not lived well, we say sometimes. It is important to reflect on your breath if you feel it can be done better. Or if there is hyperventilation. In those cases it can be a good help to follow some lessons breathing therapy. Under guidance you observe and discover your breath to learn better techniques to breathe.
At the urgent request of the National Parks of the Netherlands Antilles Foundation, the island government purchased the former Savonet, Zorgvliet, Knip and Zevenbergen plantations in the late 1960s. These four plantations were merged, now forming Christoffel Park, with adjoining Knip hills. Nature lovers won’t believe their eyes. You can drive through Christoffel Park, up to the foot of Mt. Curaçao is the ideal holiday island for a good rest, not only by the sea. There are many areas with no one in sight. Stay for a while at the Yoga Centrum Curaçao to relax. Curaçao is the largest island of the Netherlands Antilles and is one of the most important Caribbean islands. The island is 61 kilometers long between its two furthest points and between five and 14 kilometers wide.

You will be served three vegetarian meals a day. Tea, coffee, and water are available throughout the retreat. There are also good restaurants nearby.
The many land houses comprise one of the important, if not the most important, architectural heritage of the island. Curaçao’s land houses played an important role in the island’s history and are unique. Examples of landhouses include Landhuis Brievengat, Landhuis Daniel, Dokterstuin, Jan Kock, Zeelandia, Chocolobo, Papaya, Groot Santa Martha, Rooi Catootje, Savonet, and Knip. Most of the land houses can be toured, an appointment may be required.
The flora on Curaçao are limited due to the climate. On Westpunt, there are many hills and unique types of trees and an abundance of orchids. There are 500 species of plants. There is an extremely large diversity of cacti. The characteristic divi-divi tree, with its double, feather-like leaves, always grows in the direction of the wind. Of course, Curaçao also has its well-known palm trees.
The Curaçao deer or white-tailed deer is unique to the island. Curaçao also has some 16 species of lizards, eight of which are indigenous.
Curaçao was created from volcanic limestone on which coral has grown for centuries. It can easily be seen during a first dive. You will immediately encounter the magnificent coral reefs along the coastline. No wonder that scuba diving is now one of the most popular sports on Curaçao. Fortunately, there’s also plenty of time to relax and enjoy the breathtaking undersea world, with 60 million year old flora and fauna.
Many consider Curaçao a highly attractive diving paradise. Diving appointments are easy to organize. The average price amounts 40 USD per dive including all the equipment. Of course, there is the possibility to follow diving lessons.
Wherever you stay on Curaçao, the azure blue sea is always nearby. You can swim at any hour of the day but never swim on the rugged northeast side of the island. Curaçao has a diversety of beaches with each their own charm.
Curaçao does not have long beaches that extend for kilometers, but a large number of small beaches. Most beaches have free admission. Only a few ask for a contribution for maintenance. Beaches can be found at nearly all the hotels and various private beaches are also open for tourists.
For instance, beaches for free are Santa Martha, Playa Kenepa, Barbara Beach, Santa Cruz, Daaibooibeach, Playa Kalki, and Playa Boca Sami. These beaches lie in a radius of 10 to 20 kilometers from the yoga center.
You can enjoy the rich and varied history of Willemstad. Under leadership of an architect or historian, weekly guided tours are made by Otrabanda, a part of Willemstad. Also the natural world harbor, Saint Annabay, is a visit more than worth. There is an excursion to make and climb the unique fosfor rich table mountain.
You can book an additional cost Ayurvedic massages or breathing therapy sessions. A total body massage of 90 minutes includes also the skull and face and allows you to experience the relaxation from your whole self. The price of the Ayurvedic massage is 70 USD per session and of the breathing therapy 45 USD per session.
Please book your flight to arrive at Curaçao International Airport (CUR). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Yoga Centrum Curaçao will pick you up from the airport.
