Join Yoga Bliss' yoga immersion retreat on the beautiful Nusa Lembongan, Bali. Build or deepen your relationship with your yoga practice! You will emerge with a broader knowledge base of yoga techniques such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin, in addition to Ayurveda and meditation. Come to Nusa Lembongan and return home feeling more relaxed and rejuvenate.
During this retreat, you will be staying at the well-known Radya Homestay or Hokita Homestay. These amazing, quiet places are just five minutes walk from Yoga Bliss and offers nice room with double extra large bed, air conditioning, private bathroom, and Wi-Fi.
Your yoga retreat will be oriented to deepen your own practice while discussing the yoga principles.
You will discuss how the bones, muscles, joints, and all of the systems of the body interact in various yoga poses, and how they are physically and energetically beneficial to you.
The morning practice will always be an Ashtanga (Mysore led class) or Vinyasa class, focusing on building strength and flexibility, while the afternoon will be a Yin or Restorative practice to restore physical balance and calm the mind.
Learning to align yourself correctly in poses keeps you safe from injury and stable, while experiencing the benefits. You will be informed on how to correctly align yourself in postures.
Ayurveda, also known as the sister science of yoga, will be introduced as a complimentary technique. It has a lot to do with balancing your own individual constitutions with the use of herbs, better dietary choices, and even your asana, pranayama, and meditation practices to create better overall health, radiance, and peacefulness.
You will be taught the Ashtanga invocation, as well as other mantras to use as a vehicle for meditation and to bring focus to the mind.
You will be introduced meditation techniques from the Hatha yoga and Tantric traditions, as well as Vipassana meditation from the Buddhist tradition.
You will touch on the connections between Eastern philosophy, Hindu mythology, and yoga. You will be reading from Yoga Mala and The Heart of Yoga as supplemental texts to your practice. These texts will be the basis of most of your discussions that relate to all of the aspects of the retreat as a whole.
You will be taught different techniques to control the prana that rides on the breath. Different pranayama creates different effects on the body, mind, and energy system. Some more activating and some more calming. You will be using pranayama in conjunction with the flow of poses, in addition to using it as a lead-in to meditation.
This will be your daily schedule (suggest to changes), except on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Ashtanga Yoga)
Gwen became a yoga teacher in Mysore, India. Since then, she has held classes in Lembongan Island, Bali. Her teaching combines the tradition of Ashtanga yoga with the needs of each student. She is well renowned for the attention that she gives to both novice and advanced students. She is mainly teaching Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin classes.
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200, RYT 500 (Hatha Yoga)
Gina is an experienced yoga instructor from the United States, who teaches slow-paced classes and focuses on relaxation, deep stretching, alignments, and meditation. She is taking care of the Yin, Restorative, meditation, Hatha, and Nidra yoga classes.
This yoga retreat takes place in Nusa Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia. Yoga Bliss is located on Lembongan Island, 30 minutes away from Bali. As a lot of travelers say, Lembongan is like Bali used to be 20 years ago. There is white sandy beach, blue clear water, quiet, and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise begins to be a must to visit from Bali away from the traffic jam or the hawkers.
This is a perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, sunbathing, and yoga. The shala is in the heart of Lembongan, close to all commodities. The beach is only five minutes away, but as you will see, everything is really close on the island as its size is approximately eight square kilometers.
During your retreat, you will have the time to try new food, explore new way of eating, and cleansing. It will always be a choice coming from you and you will not be asked to follow a particular path.
You will be served three meals a day of healthy local food at Yoga Bliss' Green Garden Eco Warung, located at the same place with the shala. You will have the choice between a vegan, a vegetarian, and a meat option.
Included in this retreat is one spa treatment of your choice in Yoga Bliss' spa partner on the island.

Lembongan is a 30-minutes ride from Sanur, Bali. Yoga Bliss will help you arrange everything for your transfer.
