Your training will be oriented toward deepening your practice while guiding you on how to share this practice with others Being a yoga teacher means orienting your life towards your highest potential. It is a commitment to not only yourself but to others as well. This training has been designed for those who believe, feel, and know that yoga is more than the physical practice of asana.

Yoga Bliss intends to properly train yoga students to become strong, confident, and knowledgeable teachers. The program is designed to provide information and training that not only meets but exceeds all standards set by any “alliance”.

In addition to all of the relevant information about Yin Yoga philosophy, theory, and teaching skills; Yoga Bliss puts a strong emphasis on developing your practice, thus your training will be oriented toward deepening your practice while showing you how to teach others.

By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently teach a 60, 75, or 90-minute Yin Yoga class.

Daily Asana and Meditation Practices

  • Yin Yoga teaching lab including modifications, adjustments, rebounds
  • Successful sequencing of a Yin Yoga Class
  • Anatomy for yin including fascia anatomy, joint mechanics, and myofascial chains
  • Yin/Yang theory, Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, and Eastern anatomy including Qi, meridians, and their associated elements
  • Complimentary pranayama, meditation, and other techniques
  • Small groups guaranteed with a maximum of 16 students per training

Asana, Meditation, and Complementary Practices

  • Daily yin asana practices will focus on specific meridian pairs and we will guide you
  • through meditation techniques to accompany your Yin Yoga practice and help you
  • establish a daily meditation practice.
  • We will explore the best pranayama practices to accompany your Yin Yoga practice,
  • knowing that different techniques have different effects on the body, mind, and
  • energetic systems.
  • Complementary practices may also include yoga Nidra, sound bowls, and yang asana for
  • balance.

Anatomy and Physiology

  • Anatomy for Yin Yoga will incorporate different aspects of the physical body.
  • Eastern anatomy and the concept of yin and yang tissues.
  • Fascia anatomy and the effects of long-held yin poses on fascia.
  • Joint mechanics and their crucial role in understanding how yin poses apply safe stress
  • to ligaments and joints, stimulating growth and improving range of motion.
  • Myofascial chains, which link muscles and fascia across the body in interconnected
  • pathways, explain how tension or release in one area influences the rest of the system.
  • You will explore different parts of the body to understand what stops you or your
  • students from going further in a pose accommodating anatomical variations.

Asana and Teaching lab

  • Explore key aspects of teaching Yin Yoga, focusing on how to effectively guide students
  • through various poses, offer modifications, and incorporate props.
  • This lab will also help you refine your teaching approach by balancing speech and non-
  • speech to offer the best experience for your students.
  • Learn how to sequence a class with intentionality, including using meridians, the energy
  • curve, and the bhava (mood) of the class.

Theoretical Concepts

  • Yin/Yang theory - the fundamental concept of Chinese philosophy, where Yin and Yang
  • represent opposite yet complementary forces.
  • Traditional Chinese medicine with respect to energetic pathways (meridians), vital life force (Qi), and five elements theory

This course is also for you! It can be difficult to find the time and/or a place where to learn and practice more intensively than drop-in classes, so this is an opportunity to do so without the expectation of becoming a yoga teacher.

If this is your wish, Yoga Bliss recommends you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least 6 months. Yoga Bliss will work with you to develop a daily asana, pranayama, and meditation practice that best suits you.

You will be able to follow the same class schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the stress of completing a final examination.

Final assessment

During the last week of the training you will have different assessments to complete, some written and some practical.

Yoga Bliss is located on Lembongan Island, 30 minutes away from Bali. As a lot of travelers say, Lembongan is like Bali used to be 20 years ago. White sandy beach, blue clear water, quiet, and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise begins to be a must to visit from Bali away from the traffic jam or the hawkers. This is A perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, sunbathing, and yoga.

The shala is in the heart of Lembongan close to all commodities. The beach is only five minutes away, but as you will see everything is close on the island as its size is approximately eight square kilometers.

Food

During your training, you will have the time to explore new food, and new ways of eating, and cleansing. It will always be your own choice what you eat, and we will not ask you to follow a particular path. Yoga Bliss will provide you with a daily breakfast of healthy local food at their Green Garden eco warung, located at the same place as the shala.

You will have the option to enjoy vegan, vegetarian, and even foods including meat.
