This hidden magical retreat is a quiet, restful, and spiritual destination located in a beautiful setting surrounded by green rice fields, just a short, ten minutes walk from downtown Ubud, the cultural epicenter of Bali.
A small, bubbling creek runs next to the villa center and from our doorstep one can walk for hours through lush rice fields and coconut tree lined trails. As the city swells with traffic and pedestrians, we offer a relaxing, meditative escape from the hustle, and bustle of the hectic tourist scene.
Our houses are built primarily of wood and natural sustainable material such as bamboo and alang alang, limiting the use of chemical products. Rooms are equipped with fans and designed in such a way that the natural river and jungle breeze cool down the room temperature. We avoid the use of plastic bags, bottles (you can refill yours at the reception) and straws as much as possible. Our goal is to minimize our impact on nature.
During the days you can observe monkeys, birds and a rich wildlife around you.
In this retreat you can develop a higher consciousness, practice Hatha-yoga, and attend various art classes including intuitive painting, sound healing therapy, and contemporary dance.
Hatha yoga is an old system that includes the practice of Asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.
Intuitive painting is a creative practice that releases impulses usually corralled by the logical part of the brain to make a work of art. People who use this technique employ their intuition to paint automatically without stopping to plan for the outcome of the piece. It is about letting go of fear or expectations to allow your painting to evolve individually into a piece of art.
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Sound healing is the process by which participants play or listen to live or recorded sounds, in order to have a positive experience which they may subjectively report as physical, emotional, energetic, spiritual, or a combination thereof. Listening to percussive instruments like gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, and tuning forks reduces stress, and can place the listener in a meditative state. The sound vibrates at the frequency of "AUM" or "OM". This sound frequency known as that of Perfection impacts the sympathetic nervous system as your brain waves synchronize to the vibrations of the bowls.
Our retreat is available to individuals, couples and groups. Yoga classes are open to all levels, from beginners to experienced. Teaching style and class levels will be fitted to accommodate participants needs. We work in small and intimate sized classes during the retreat to be able to give the best of our attention to everyone. Our teachers are highly-qualified and devoted souls. Our groups are joyful, we love to have fun and to be open-minded to exchange thoughts.
