Students who complete their training before 31 December 2021 are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

How the training works

When you are registered for this online yoga teacher training, you will have the access to an online training library (10 modules) and you will need to attend daily Zoom sessions, except on 1 day off.

Livestream Hours

The training is an immersive style with 120 required contact hours as required from Yoga Alliance. Specifically, there are offered daily for 17 days contact hours with 1 day off.

80 Self-learning Hours

These are hours for self-study, which is supported via an Online Training Library with 10 modules. Past students refer they use the training material even after completion, as it has ignited their passion for knowledge and self-evolution.

Timing of sessions or daily schedule (EEST/GMT+3 and GMT+2 for sessions after October 31, 2021)

The daily live sessions will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m with breaks in between. All times are based on Greece time, EEST/GMT+3 and GMT+2 for sessions after October 31, 2021.

Overview

The teaching is Vinyasa-based with a focus also on Hatha and Restorative yoga. The training is functional focused and the methods taught will make you a confident, well-informed yoga instructor upon the latest trends in yoga practice, like assisting, cueing, sequencing, conditioning, adjusting, and modifying, as well as upon the modern understanding of the energetic theory, based on the modern sciences and the ancient observation method as well. With the embodiment tool of yoga, you will be able to act, not only as a yoga instructor serving multiple needs in your communities but also as a spiritual coach, moving beyond limited programming.

  • Functional-based training: train in innumerous asana variations and modifications, knowing not just to cue them, but why you use them from the anatomical, functional and energetic point of view. Primarily, is taught non-lineage/functional modern style Vinyasa, and secondarily Hatha and Restorative. Focus is on original alignment, as well as on variations, modifications, drills, conditioning, props, hands-on assists, and more. Beginners are welcomed, and also more advanced students

  • Asana - More than 100 asanas are covered with the different variations they appear in modern practice. Finally, there is a really extensive number of asana that will be covered. Kinetic exercises from modern functional theory with experiential analysis

Can I enroll in Online Training without attending live stream sessions?

Yes, as long as you take your time to attend the recorded live stream session sent to you via a downloadable link in your email.

Will I learn anatomy?

Yes, the anatomy is provided with self-learning via books, plus the teacher will explain in detailed the Kinesiology, the muscles, and skeletal in the online sessions and in pre-recorded sessions.

How many hours are provided for Restorative Yoga?

1 teaching day is only for Restorative Yoga. You are given 2 ebooks with restorative poses and one free for download.

Will I learn Yoga Philosophy?

Yes, the philosophy is part of the whole training. You will read via the manual and the downloadable ebooks the philosophy. Most importantly, you will be offered access to attend yoga philosophy by Ph.D. scholars.

Will I uplevel my practice?

The training has as aim to train you how to offer a mixed level of yoga class. For the most part, you learn to adapt and variate the poses for adapting to various needs. Also, you will be given chances to challenge yourself in your asana and other techniques practice with the modules 5, 6, 7, 8 that reflect more intermediate to advanced levels (but also beginners with appropriate adaptations or alterations). If you choose the solar pre-recorded flows for your self-practice, they will be more dynamic and more intense. Many students believe a teacher training is a chance to learn high skills, but the truth is you must also learn to teach all levels classes and teach the exercises correctly and inspirational with anatomy and philosophy background.

Retreat location

This teacher training is held online. Yoga and More is based in Greece and they will live stream sessions based on EEST (GMT +3) during summer and GMT+2 for sessions after October 31, 2021. You need to prepare a good wifi connection, yoga props (yoga mat, strap or scarf, two or more blocks or big stable books, pillow or bolster, blanket, wall, and chair for assist to the exercises), and a wireless microphone or Bluetooth for the phone to be clearly heard online and at the recorded exercises that you submit.
