Skourtis Villas, Rodia, Aigion, Peloponnese, Greece

Yoga Teacher Training in Greece, Peloponnese

Expert tip: This is one of the most popular yoga retreats offered in Greece.

Yoga and More School Teacher Training adopts the policy that yoga starts from the inner peace, the self-doubt of approved beliefs, and the constant need for self-exploration. The program meets the criteria of the most famous organization of acknowledging instructors' skills, Yoga Alliance USA (RYS200, YACEP, ID 243380).

For students not able to travel they can choose the self-paced online training or Livestream training with Yoga and More School. For more information on this training style, send your inquiry to them today!

Check-out Time:

The venue is settled in a big land in front of the beach and offers 11 apartments, each one equipped with a kitchen and toilet. Most rooms (9 to 11) have a sea view and view of the garden. Beach is just in front of the venue. The venue that was picked this time is very simple yet allows relaxation, quiet and remoteness and, of course, undisturbed yoga practice. It also has a play yard for kids and a shadowy place for meals serving.

Activities will be held outside only either at the venue or at the beach. The venue was chosen for this reason specifically, to serve our hygiene needs during Covid-19. That's why the venue is not serving us for the winter retreats, as it lacks a yoga shala. In case of bad weather even in the scheduled months of October and April that Greece is still sunny, offerings will be either postponed during the day or offered under a covered area, but still outside. Be sure that your practice clothing serves these conditions.

The venue is inside nature, so in case of allergies have with you your medicine.

For winter training and retreats, the venue that serves us is in Crete island. In case you are interested in this period, please send an inquiry for info.

Yoga and More School hosts teacher trainings since 2018 in order for the students to be able to study the yogic field, create a general commitment to the yogic path without dogmatic attachments and create the ability to apply on the mat and off the mat, in the real world, the philosophy of a yoga practitioner, as well as of a scholar who seeks the eternal truths.

This is a Vinyasa based training, following modern methods from science, as well as from intuition and love teachings. Yoga and More are not following dogmas, nor they hold theocratic ideas about the body, the mind, and the energy.

Retreat location

Descending the road from the villas at a few meters, you will reach the small and calm creek of the beach of Rhodia with its clear blue waters.

Rodia village is a quiet and picturesque settlement, located in the heart of the municipality of Egialia. Its distance from the city of Aigio is only 5 kilometers, while it is half an hour from Patras and only two hours from Athens. It is reachable from Athens by bus or train (eg. from Kifisos station) with a 15 euro ticket stopping at Aigio and from there you take a taxi towards Rodia village (10-20 EUR max).

This seaside village of the Corinthian has as reference point the picturesque square with its centuries-old plane trees as well as the small and beautiful church of the Transfiguration of the Savior. During the summer months the traditional cafes and taverns seem like an ideal destination. A trademark of the village is the centuries-old plane tree in the middle of the road that leads to the beach.

In the village there are two traditional tavernas and a mini-market. Walking in nature here is magic.

Closest towns are Diakofto, Nikoleika and Aigio. There is often connection every day to these towns by bus that passes from the village's square. Grocery store and bigger markets can be found in these towns too, in case you want extra food, eg. for dinner, which is not provided.

Closeby are some beaches awarded with a blue flag, Punta beach located at a distance of only 7 kilometers, Tripia beach 5 kilometres away, and just 500 meters lies the Nikoleika beach with taverns and beach bars.
