Chill out before Christmas in Kerala South India. Get away from the cold and the Christmas rush and give yourself time to relax, unwind, and explore another country and another culture. You will have the chance to practice yoga twice daily with 2 different yoga teachers, to learn how to practice Mindfulness and bring it into your everyday life when you return home and to enjoy massages and laughter yoga as well as trips to explore the area.

During this retreat you will stay in a shared or double room on our own tiny island at The Beach and Lake Ayuvedic Resort. beach and Lake resort has beautiful beach view ensuite rooms with a yoga shala, swimming pool and 2 restaurants set in a tranquil place where the river meets the sea. Kovalem and Samudra beach are a short tuktuk ride away and the airport and city of Trivandrum are less than a 15 minute taxi ride.

    Maggie is a qualified mindfulness teacher and has been running Mindfulness and Yoga Holidays for four years in Portugal, India, and next year also Ireland. She teaches mindfulness for stress reduction, mindfulness for well-being, and mindfulness for creativity as well as the art of breathing.

  • Michele Stein

    Michele has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years. Her style has evolved over the years to include Hatha yoga, Feldenkrais method, and somatic movement. Michele is a very experienced teacher and can provide alternative for all levels within her classes. She will be teaching between May 20 -26, 2018 in Portugal together with Maggie.

This retreat will take place at the Beach Lake Ayuvedic Resort in Pachallor, Kerala, India. Beach and Lake Resort is situated in an idyllic spot where the river meets the sea between Trivandrum and Kovalem and trips along the peaceful river are available to experience the peace and tranquility of the backwaters.

During this retreat, you will be served one daily delicious breakfast.


Lunch and dinner are not included in this retreat. You may also enjoy lunch, dinner, and drinks at the local restaurant in the Beach and Lake Resort or in nearby restaurants at the beach in Kovalam for approximately 10 GBP per person per day.

During your free time, you may enjoy swimming at the beach, sunbathing, relaxing, or exploring. A full schedule of trips is available including the backwaters of Kerala , the tip of India and an elephant sanctuary.

During this holiday you may enjoy massages with Sivan and Ayuvedic treatments at the resort at additional cost.

You can send the flights details to be met on arrival and transferred to Lagoona Beach Resort. The cost for the transportation service is approximately 5 GBP per person each travel.
