This retreat offers you a complete package on all levels so you can work on your mental, physical, and emotional health. There will be daily yoga and meditation sessions, and one-on-one counseling or coaching to work on personal issues. The retreat is being offered as a support for lifestyle changes towards more health, relaxation, and self-healing.
The 3 guest rooms have separate entrances and are offered only as a service for people who do yoga and therapeutic sessions, a maximum of 5 guests. There is one large double room (2 single beds), one normal double room (queen size bed), and one single room (1 single bed), all with their own bathroom (2 attached, 1 in the hall). There is no TV and no air-con, but all rooms have ventilators and central heating. Our guests do NOT get to choose the room online. Guests are never placed in a shared room unless they travel together.
This retreat will be held in a home, not in a hotel. Please take a look at the images provided to have the right expectations. Your main desire should be the program, not a luxury resort (although the house is comfortable and your hosts will do all in their power to support your needs).
The retreat center is in Aleid and Doby’s home, they run the retreats as a couple and live on a separate floor. In the exotic garden and under the roof of the veranda, you can relax on sunbeds or puffs or take a hammock to where you want.
For the yoga classes, mats, and meditation pillows are provided. The yoga has a maximum of five participants and they are given outdoors when possible. From April to October, you can be sure to enjoy outdoor yoga. In January, March, November, and December, yoga classes mix outdoor and indoor instruction. As soon as the sun is out, Aleid uses an outdoor coaching "office," which is available most of the year.
For a donation fee, you can also use the three bicycles and the infrared sauna. Your hosts will try to find a balance between connecting and private space for them and for you. You will have quite some time for yourself to rest. You are welcome to bring your own books, movies, or music. You can also use the house's collection. Your hosts like to share what they have, so if you need a specific thing, tool, fire pot, paint, or clay, do ask.
There is no preparation necessary for this retreat. Through the yoga and meditation, you will learn more techniques to support a healthy and balanced life style. Detox is an excellent first step towards change. When detoxing, at least a 30-minute walk or swim per day is advised, besides the daily 90-minute yoga classes. Most days, a guided walk will be offered.
The reason Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca prefers to offer an eight-day program and not offer shorter detox breaks is that they believe that breaking habit needs time and also the first two or three days are normally the most challenging. After that it becomes lighter, the head gets clearer and you really start to feel the positive effects of the detox.
If you do it for a short time, you may set yourself up to only feel the first detox symptoms and not the positive amount of energy the system gains after getting used to the lightness. Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca also believe that a detox week is good to do once or twice a year, but not more often. It is working as a reset for mind and body to help you keep healthy habits.

Short walks in the area included, often late afternoon. It can be discussed if you would like to visit the neighbouring villages. Santanyi has a very nice market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 15-minute by bicycle or car drop off possible. We provide cycle and walking routes on maps and guidebooks.
From May till September, guests can join going to great local flamenco and other concerts in an outdoor venue at least once per week.
Aleid is a qualified yoga instructor who utilizes her knowledge on evidence-based psychology to gain a wider perspective and approach to healing. She was born and bred in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where she received her master's degree in psychology in the University of Amsterdam. Her travels have made her more knowledgeable and broadened her knowledge of different cultures and times. She has concentrated on her own blend of yoga, coaching, therapy, and meditation since 2004 when she started her own successful psychological practice called “Personal Radiance.”
Doby comes from a family with a curiosity towards many different cultures, especially culinary culture and music. He started helping his mother in the kitchen from a young age and never stopped liking the process of preparing world food and the joy of eating together. Doby trained as a cabinet maker first to allow him to live and work anywhere in the world and building beautiful kitchens was a favorite. After going trough cancer, Doby took up healthy, tasty cooking as a new profession and loves it.
This retreat will take place in Cala Figuera, Spain. There are walking and cycling paths from the house along the coast and into the typical Mediterranean backlands with forests, flowers, olive, and fruit trees. The house is on the outer ring of the beautiful, natural, small fishing harbor.
Just one street down, you will see the ever changing light on the water and the typical Mallorquin white fishing boats, the llauts. You will also see the fishermen work on their nets and sell their catch every afternoon. There is a small boulevard with a cliff and sea view restaurants nearby.
Further down, you will find a few shops, a mini market, a cash machine, diving, kayak, and SUP and boat tours. Just beyond the harbor is Parque Natural Mondrago, a large area with protected forest landscape, cliffs, and two stunning white beaches. You will see they resemble the Caribbean, with turquoise waters.
In warm months, you may head out early to do yoga on the beach. Nearby, you will also find Santanyi, one of the bigger villages with more services, including a small hospital, post office, galleries, nice shops, two big supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants, some of them with weekly live music.
From Cala Figuera you can also visit wonderful places, including Coves de Drac, Cabrera Island, Randa Monastery, and Monasterio de San Salvador. There are also famous beaches where you can relax and take in the sun, including the famous Es Trench Beach.

During this retreat, you will enjoy daily healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The detox light program is more fun and less challenging than the detox week with only juices that will also be offered. Also, Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca shares easy-to-learn cooking ideas to replace heavy-to-digest food with more healthy alternatives. For many, it is definitely a detox leaving meat, alcohol, sugar, heavy food, and heavy old mind-patterns behind. If you choose this light detox option, your meals will be gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free. No cigarettes and no alcohol will also be a featured policy.
In all seasons except winter, there are boat tours and stand up paddle and kayak rentals from Cala Figuera at a few minutes from the house. Boat rentals in Porto Petro available all year round if the weather allows.
This retreat includes a 60-minute massage. Another massage is optional in the choice sessions.

Transfer available for additional US$50 per person
Please book your flight to arrive at Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. The cost for pick-up is 45 EUR and the cost for drop-off is 35 EUR.
There is a bus connection from Palma or Arenal to Santanyí. It costs about 7 EUR and the trip is one hour long.
A one-way taxi trip from the airport costs from 65 to 70 EUR.
