The day starts at 07:00 with a yoga session to awaken your energies and harmonize with the sun. Each yoga session has a short theoretical part at the end as you go through the main steps of yoga science. However, all activities are optional so you can do as much or as little as you want.

    Oida Veda art

In your art sessions, you will explore the mystic language of aesthetics. You will learn from the greatest artist of all, mother nature; and reflect together on her wisdom before you will paint or draw spontaneously without prestige. With the awakening of your creative energy, you give form to the invisible mind and heart. It is a great tool that aids the yogi on her path to self-discovery.

    Yoga classes

The main goal of the yoga sessions is to deeply relax and rejuvenate the body and mind, reach the inner self where you can discover the natural happiness of life, and connect with your powerful potency. The yoga practice will connect with your energy channels so you can learn what your inner microcosmos is and associate it with your deepest harmony.

The goal is for you to learn the world of energies, be able to always charge yourself, or heal yourself anytime in life. The theoretical part will open up a vast knowledge of the Vedic scriptures. The yoga Nidra meditations will serve as the deep healing and nurture therapy. There will be a 1.5-hour daily morning yoga session with additional practice scheduled during the week based on demand. During summer season, the yoga sessions are set outdoors in the beautiful garden with views of the surrounding area and hills. She then opened an ashram in Bulgaria and later in Sweden. She practiced and taught yoga and meditation by organizing yoga tours and retreats to all parts of India and to ashrams in South America.

    • Brahma Samhita

Brahma Samhita started his search for spirituality in India, where he found his spiritual master and lived like a monk in several ashrams in India and Sweden. He is also a high-class lecturer on all kinds of Vedic knowledge and a licensed therapist in the Vedic art.

"One unfortgetful travel to India. Breakfast with view over Ganges and Himalaya. Amazing meetings with people, cows, dogs, monkeys and other animals. Spirituality of a high quality. Visits to temples and other spiritual places with the guidance of Lidia who shared her deep knowledge not only regarding these places but regarding everything we experienced in India. Meeting with a saint who touched me deeply in my heart. In short a travel rich in experience."

"I would rate the yoga as 8 out of 10. If the open fire in the sitting room had been working and if there had been a radiator in my room in the house it would have got a ten because the yoga itself in a large yurt with a woodburning fire, the ayurvedic teaching, the art sessions, the hot tub under the stars, the food, and the woodburning fire in the kitchen were all perfect. The people who run the centre were very helpful and welcoming."

"The island is remote and beautiful with lots of easy walks everywhere in the its bucolic, monochromatic setting with many routes down to the lovely beaches with a view of the other islands off the gothenberg archipelago. I feel completely rejuvenated and would recommend this retreat to anyone needing a break away from it all."

"Hello! I would like to review the 4 days Yoga and Art Therapy Retreat in Sweden. It cannot be named yoga retreat because there was no proper yoga session and no certified yoga teacher. It seems that the yoga teacher was off on holidays...I'm happy I have not booked for the 8 days because I would have been very disappointed. It would have been fair to replace yoga by something else instead of pretending practising yoga. For the rest I agree with the other reviews. Fantastic cook who acommodated me according to my intolerances.I would come back if the yoga teacher is also back ;)"

"Reply from Yoga and Art Therapy Retreat: "Dear Nadine, we are really sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during our retreat. Unfortunately, during this retreat, we decided to collaborate with another team, based on the idea of sharing different knowledge and practice. They are more inclined to art therapy being artists and Vedic sciences, but the yoga practise is not developed enough. As we mentioned before, after seeing the feedback we received lately, we decided to go back to doing all retreats with our original team, as it was from the very beginning and people have always been satisfied. We learn from our mistakes and do hope to see you at our retreats in the future.""

"Such an amazing and authentic experience in India with Lidia! She is a wonderful woman, she has a lot to give. She is very smart, soft, and passionate. She made our trip perfect! Very good spots, good timing, good vegetarian food, and of course lot of love and spirituality. We visited secret places, temples... plus yoga in the morning, wonderful ceremony for peace and environment in front of the Ganga, this so special and peaceful place in Vrindavan's ashram, experiences with children in schools... we shared really strong feelings, humanity, and incredible moments that I will always remember. The best trip of my life thanks to Lidia, I could never say enough thank you. It changed my life!"

"I decided that I would like to share with you my experience after the retreat in Sweden."

"I have to say that I was really looking forward to it as from the description on your websites and information that I received from the organizers it looked exactly like the think that I was looking for (yoga and meditation). During that week, I hoped to improve my yoga practice as the classes should be hold once or twice a day depending on the need. Unfortunately as it turned out it wasn't the case. First during the retreat there was noone qualified to give yoga classes. The classes were offered every morning but the level was hardly satisfactory. the instructor didn't know the basic assanas and for the whole duration repeated the same routine, a mix between warm up exercises and basic sun salutation. he also insisted on sharing the yoga knowledge which was a mixed of very basic concepts without clear connection to any particular yoga schools or movment. let's say it was more "intuitive" understanding of yoga."

"I have similar filling about propsed meditation. I understand that there are various types and techniques but at least at the basic level some guidance should be given. It's a bit more than sitting in silence and gazing at the candle light flame. As I practice yoga and meditation I have the impression of lack of professionalizm. "

"What Brahma, who runs the retreat, was more interested in doing was talking to us about philosophy and vedic concepts, which could also be interesting addition to yoga and meditation but should not be a replacement of it. We also performed some vedic chanting which was nice."

"From the positive aspects of the whole experience was a beautiful place (Greenstones), great walks and wonderful meals prepared by Viktor. The art classes were also interesting, the idea of the purpose OIDA art was a bit lost in translation. However overall I enjoyed this activity."

"To sum up. We decided to leave a day earlier because there was no point for us starting longer as we didn't benefit from yoga or meditation. Also the atmosphere became a bit "cold" after some disappointments were expressed regarding the retreat by some other participants."

"I think it would be fair to say that it should not be called yoga retreat if the yoga classes were at the level offered. Otherwise it creates an expectations and then makes the outcome very disappointing therefore influencing the overall experience."

"As to the points, I would give"

      "10 to the location"

      "10 to the food"

      "7 to art sessions"

      "1 to meditation"

      "1 to yoga"

"I really think that a lot of the above could be avoided if more accurate description was given to the retreat and activities offered. My understanding is that there's someone qualified to teach yoga but this person wasn't present at this particular retreat."

"Reply from Yoga and Art Therapy Retreat:"

      "Dear Katarzyna,"

"This retreat was the only one where we unfortunately made the mistake to invite another team, with the idea to share different retreats together. They are more inclined to art therapy being artists and Vedic sciences, but the yoga practise is not developed enough. "

"Previously, other people were satisfied with their performance. However, following the last round of feedback, we have just stopped this practise, and went back to doing all retreats with our original team, as it was from the very beginning and people have always been satisfied. Really sorry to hear that you had a negative experience, as we become really close with people who come to our retreats and keep contacts after and develop wonderful friendships. We learn from our mistakes and do hope to see you at our retreats in the future."

"Authentic, heart-warming and deeply inspiring experience! Brahma, our knowledgeable host, created an convivial, respectful space for everyone. The schedule was flexible: spontaneity and creativity were always welcomed and encouraged, breaking up with everyday life rushing schedule and stresses. Vegan food was fresh and delicious thanks to our dear chef, Gopal. The site (Flatön island, Sweden) was simply gorgeous and the accommodation (Greenstone) was totally charming, cozy and well-maintained. This was a amazing atmosphere to share, learn and grow. I loved it !"

    • Review by Howard S from UK

"This was my first experience of yoga and it was successful in that it has awakened my appetite for yoga back in the UK. It was also greatly enjoyable with the most (bizarrely and wonderfully!) disparate group of people: Israeli / Californian aged 79, Bulgarian, Italian and Romanian 30-somethings, Scottish retired barrister. Long walks in the Swedish forests which surround the house were very productive in a relaxed way, and the 'art as therapy' daily sessions were hugely productive and useful in both drawing everyone out and giving our host the opportunity to explore with us the intellectual considerations of Ayurveda, and showed the remarkable extent to which everyone, without exception, can express their own narrative in a creative way. I was relieved to find that this particular branch of Ayurveda is in no way in conflict with Christianity. I was hugely impressed by Alexander (spiritual name, Brahma). The physical yoga sessions twice a day were well conducted and explained and I even felt significantly more flexible by the end of the week! Vegan food, I discovered, is not my 'cup of (Bio) tea', but was well and generously prepared by Lidia (spiritual name Bhakti). I would definitely recommend it to anyone, whether experienced in yoga or not."

    • Review by Marianne van den Haak from The Netherlands

"This week was a very special experience for me. With both of the dedicated teachers I felt a warm connection right away, both beautiful souls. As well as the art therapy as the yoga were both based on old Vedic science. The yoga brought me closer to myself en I found my passion and inspiration during the art therapy. This really made me happy."

"The teachers were well matched. Both very passionate and knowledgeable in their field. Besides that, they cooked fantastic. We enjoyed their Ayurvedic meals which were accompanied by their knowledge. Everything was tasteful and it was hard to not eat too much. So delicious!"

"They followed our wishes and tailored the program. We've been everyday in the nature, which has fantastic forests and mysterious lakes. "

"During this week there was a small group, we all felt at home right away."

"The accommodation was small, but we learned to be flexibel. Both of the teachers gave us the example of complete flexibility and dedication for their passions. They live because of what they teach."

"I would really recommend this retreat!"

The food was amazing and the the art therapy made me see myself in completely new unexpected way. I enjoyed the Ayurvedic food. For me this is like starting my spiritual life.
