Yoga Retreats (4)
Dr. Yogi Chandrakant Ji is one of the lead yoga teachers at Yoga Adi, born in a Brahmin family in an ancient village named Haripurkalan situated at the confluence of the seven Ganges. At the age of eight, he was enrolled in a Sanskrit School where he learned about yoga, astrology, and Sanskrit as a language and began teaching yoga at the age of 20. His teachings refined more as he mastered himself in yoga asanas, yoga philosophy, pranayama, meditations, and Shatkarma Kriyas as well as receiving a doctorate in naturopathy.
Hari Krishan Ji
Hari had envisioned opening up of a yoga school that presents yoga in its true essence combined with the traditional detoxification science of naturopathy. A large part of Hari Ji’s childhood was spent in serving and taking care of hundreds of sages and sadhus. Being a national level player in his youth, yoga was an essential part of his routine. However, he realized that in present times, the bodies of most people are full of emotional and other kinds of bondage, which hinders one’s growth. This led him to develop 'emotional blockage treatments as well as using naturopathy detoxification.
Swami Yog Kulwant Ji
Swami Yog Kulwant Ji is one of the founders of Yoga Adi School. At a very young age, he left his home to seek inner bliss. He studied under many masters, who taught and encouraged him to meditate and complete his studies. Being a seeker, he was always interested in studying the subject of philosophy, on which he has also done his Ph.D. After completing his education, he went deep into meditation and stayed in silence for many years. At present, he stays in silence for most of his time in Upper Himalayas and guides students and seekers in 'Silent Retreats'.

"Can't wait to come back💜💜"
A very conducive atmosphere created by the teachers; classes and practicals were very well paced and packed with multiple themes: no repetition always made our group interactive in different ways and our bond grew from those experiences.
As a 300hr ytt, there was a good structure of being taught/instructed and balance of us guiding/teaching 200hours. Teaching is now an enjoyable experience that I wanna share with my students.
Additionally naturopathy, emotional unblockage and ayurveda classes provided a new perspective to the whole course.
Food is always tasty, made with so much love!🙏🙏
Very grateful to everyone who helped throughtout that beautiful journey
Feels like being part of a family ♥️♥️♥️
There should another course after 300hours ytt so we can come back again.😊

"The trip of my life... "

It is the best yoga / healing place in the world and I now understand why people keep on coming back. I will definitely be back soon. Thank you for opening the doors of a happy life for me. Love you all

I came for the 200 hour course, all the instructors are very lovely and respectful, the naturopathy and yoga philosophy were very interesting. I was there in winter and they made a camp fire every night which was super nice. The hot water in the showers were great, the rooms were nice. Overall I had a nice time, I wanted to go deeper into all the classes but i guess thats what the 300 hours are for.

"Best weeks of my life"
Just spent some of the best weeks of my life in the capital of yoga. From the moment I arrived I knew it was something special. The most welcoming place in Rishikesh I have been to.
The course is strong and has transformed my body in ways I never thought possible. Coming in as a dancer, I felt like I knew and moved and understood my body as good as anyone could. But after the first week, I realized that my alignment of some of the asanas was wrong. Vikas Ji and Vishal Ji were really helpful in asana classes. Meditations everyday definitely helped me find some peace I've been trying to find for a long time. Ram ji was our meditation teacher. He was very silent and I wish to have spent more time with him.
The food at the school is very much good they take care of all the nutrition and everyday a new indian dish in the menu makes it more special. The location is really nice and quiet.
All the teachers are experienced and pay proper attention to each individual which helped us to gain proper knowledge. I wish the whole team to keep on doing the good work and highly recommend them.

"A magnificent experience"
To start with it was a magnificent experience during my 200hrs teacher training course at Yoga Adi School in Rishikesh. I really like the design of the course and the content also. I was practicing yoga from last 7 years and i thought i knew a lot but during this course i came to know that yoga is way beyond asanas.
Initially i thought it will be just normal yoga teacher training it will help me become a good teacher but so it changed my approach towards yoga and alignment. Vishal ji who was our alignment teacher, explained every detail of the asanas with props and variations. The emotional unblocking techniques and some other information from Hari ji helped me alot to deepen my understanding about Naturopathy. I enjoyed all the classes and during the philosophy classes Yogi chandrakant (yogi ji)
simplified the many complications for me.
The wifi in school is ok ,so you can check your emails and msgs but they arrange an indian sim card for you which works . i heard few people complain about slow wifi but i felt comfortable without my gadgets .
I wish the whole team success in future. Hope to see them again in future.

"A Journey to the Heart"
It has been one of my most memorable journeys. The teachers have been so helpful and patient. I was really touched to see how everyone took care of me. The teachers are very knowledgeable and always ready to share. I loved our talks after lunch. Not only did I learn so much, I could not believe when I gave my first class. The practicum classes were very well designed to give me the confidence that i needed. The rooms were clean. I loved our afternoon classes in the roof. Food was very good and always with vegan options and rice. We had quite a few parties and other festivities which helped us unwind a bit and enjoy the journey. So grateful to everyone.
I would highly recommend this school without a doubt.

"A Life transforming program"
I'll say that it is a life transforming program. It was truly remarkable experience at Yoga Adi School. All instructors are very experienced, professional, thoroughly knowledgeable and patient. They are really compassionate and loving with good energy and support. I was very inspired and motivated by all of them. I really love the traditional side of yoga teaching and always felt so excited to come to the class every time to learn something new. Meditation classes were amazing. I loved the yoga philosophy classes and mantra singing. My heartfelt gratitude to such an amazing kitchen and cleaning team, words really cant express how i am grateful all of them. We all felt like we were in a Indian home and being taken care by our family. I will miss this place

"I left and immediately went back."
Every instructor at this Ashram is engaging, interactive and encouraging. Dr Yogi Chandrakant facilitated dynamic meditation, sinus cleansing and various other teachings on naturopathy in challenging and empowering ways. In between teachings, he was available to answer questions and advise, helping create a well-rounded approach to well-being and yog. Hari Ji & Manmohan taught emotional blockage, which includes physical emotional blockage workshops, alignment and breathing and meditation practise. They both have excellent knowledge in the workings of the body and mind, and are able to teach you techniques to maintain balance living and advise on general aches and pains - to equip you in taking better care of yourself. The yogis, who teach Hatha and Ashtanga are kind, professional and push you to be better. Their classes are fluid, allowing people to just "be" and you are always encouraged to be confident, free and your best self. Be prepared to be challenged in the hands of very caring people.

"Amazing Yoga School, 0 regrets, Great experience."
IT WAS GREAT. My biggest concern when it came to the Yoga school I was going to do the 200hr yttc was for the teachers to be good and without a doubt the teachers at this school are amazing. Not only the teachers, but also the staff. If anyone needed any help or advice they would give it without hesitation.
Food was great, they really make sure the quality of the food is good. The training is intense but I think that's how it is supposed to be.
Rooms and place were clean and nice. The location is a bit on the outskirts of Rishikesh and personally I am very happy I ended up there because it was less noisy and there is a little bit of nice nature around.
You will not regret choosing this Yoga School

"A fulfilling experience "
Time spent at Yoga Adi was very restorative for my health and state of mind. I loved the meditation element of the course which really helped me with the spiritual aspect of my Yoga practice. Huge respect for all the teachers for being 100% dedicated to share such immense knowledge with so much simplicity and humbleness. Big thanks to the kitchen staff for sharing their love through the food they made for us. The location is super peaceful, away from the crowds of the city and the ashram was very open and spacious and full of beautiful arts (I’ve also left a lotus on one of the pillars). 😊 Overall, I am extremely satisfied with everything I got to experience at this school and I highly recommend Yoga Adi for your yogic yearnings.

"Incredibly authentic yoga experience"
Yoga Adi has become more like a home to me than just a school. From the first day I was welcomed like I was a part of their family. Made friends for lifetime, met the coolest bunch of people, ate the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted and seen some beautiful places. The course was a fine balance of everything what a Yogi needs to know. The teachers are real life Yogis each coming from different backgrounds of Yoga Styles, we got to learn so much by just spending time with them. I am taking so much from this place to apply it into my life and share it with my friends and family. Thanks for everything, I think this school has something special and authentic that they're sharing with Yoga seekers.

"A wonderful experience beyond my expectations"
I came here to learn about Yoga but instead we learned to become the union of Yoga ourselves. The holistic approach in all the teachings is amazing at Yoga Adi. At first I was thinking twice to whether I should opt for Emotional Blockage Detox or not but I didn’t regret a single moment of it. Hari Ji is a great meditation teacher and led the whole Detox which transformed my whole month. Another best part was where we did silent meditations each morning as the sun rises, followed by purifications and Pranayama with Yogi Chandarkant ji is the most perfect start to the day. I literally didn’t miss a single day of the morning routine because it was so soothing. I loved our Ashtanga Classes and alignment with Vikas. He is just the right mixture of strict and funny. Yoga Philosophy was another catch of our course, where everyone gave their piece of mind to Yogi Ji and he untangled each of our twisted questions with his simplicity and smile. The stay couldn’t have been better, the management was so helpful and friendly. The kitchen staff were the sweetest young men who worked very hard to serve us with the freshly cooked food and keeping us well fed. Seriously tried some food out in the town as well, but the food at the Ashram was best and made with love. All in all I just had the best month of my life and would love to get a chance to relive it again may be in my 300-hours next year. God bless you Yoga Adi, you guys are spreading the love back to the universe.

Our asanas classes were excellent! We did "Iyengar" kind of yoga and it was something amazing. I got a lot of informations about asanas. Anninna (our teacher) has incredibly knowledge. The philosophy classes with Yogi-ji Chandrakant were very good. And Kriyas, the cleaning techniques, were very funny. Chanting in throughout of course was amazing, but I thing, the course needs normal morning and evening satsang. The location of accommodation is great. Little far from Rishikesh, but in quiet place and you can see how normal Indian people live.

I leave Rishikesh as a new person with a lot of knowledge and confidence! If you are looking for a school with authentic teachers who live and teach from their heart, clean rooms, professional administrative staff that handles all your requests with love and care and a smile then this is the place!
I would like a special shoutout for the entire team. They were always helpful they provided us with everything we needed and the kitchen made some of the most amazing food I had. The course was amazing and well organised. Maheep was extremely helpful and I loved his classes. Anniina and Hari ji are amazing teachers with so much to learn from them. There is so much gratitude in my heart for them. Thank you! I’ve had the best experience in my entire life.

"I couldn't have imagined a better training"
I loved everything about my training and stay with Yogaadi School. Everyone was doing their job with extreme passion and worked beyond to ensure that we all had the best experience, and I sincerely appreciate everything they have done for us. "Amazing School.. Best Teachers"
The teachers were amazing - they are so knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and passionate about their subjects. Hari Ji and Yogi Ji are incredible people. All the other teachers like Krishna and Girish Ji were also amazing. I am so privileged to being taught by all of them. The course is extremely well planned and structured. The alignment classes were my favorite. Naturopathy classes are highly recommended. Food is very very delicious and clean. The chefs are one of the best. Even on my off days, I preferred to eat at the school. Location is brilliant. It is far away from the noisy Laxman Jhula area in a peaceful area. My room was spacious and I had a very comfortable stay. The school building is new so everything is well managed and maintained. The spa is simply amazing. Had some nice massages and Shirodhara sessions. Overall not just the training but I have had an amazing 10/10 experience.

The course was very well planned and structured. I specially loved the alignment classes. We had a very intensive study and I feel extremely confident to share it with everyone. The school building was so beautiful, The accommodations have been the best that i have found in RIshikesh. The food was very delicious and we even had few cooking classes;) I felt completely at home. Special mention for the new spa facility which was a wonderful addon for me with Sauna and massage facility. I have truly loved every minute of my YTTC and highly recommend the school to everyone.

"Best Experience of my life "
It has truly been one of the best experiences of my life. I feel so confident about my teaching and about my understanding of yoga. The course has so much to offer. I think it will take a few days to digest so much knowledge. The teachers are wonderful. The school staff treats you like a family. Accommodations are very nice when compared to other schools in Rishikesh. Food is very delicious. We had Mantra chantings, dance, learnt henna, did some Indian cooking as well. It is truly refreshing learning how to enjoy and celebrate each day. Not only that, we learned so much about alignment and teaching yoga. This was one thing that I feel makes this school stand out. They have so many sessions on teaching methodology and practicums that at the end of the course, we were all so confident about our teaching abilities. Highly recommend it :)
