Yandara’s yoga teacher training program is located in their beautiful home campus in Baja California, Mexico. With the vast Pacific Ocean on one side and a majestic mountain range on the other, you gather for heartfelt yoga and meditation, delicious vegetarian meals, evening live music, and yogic philosophy.
Facilities of Yandara Yoga Institute are rustic and modern, emphasizing comfortable outdoor living. They have three large enclosed yoga pavilions, a gorgeous saltwater pool, canvas glamping cabins for a more luxurious stay, comfortably furnished tents for base accommodation option, flush toilets and hot water shower facilities, and a kitchen, dining, and lounge area.
They do provide a laundry service once a week (8 USD a load, washed, dried, and folded). If you prefer, there are sinks for handwashing on-site and they supply laundry soap.
The majority of yogis that attend this teacher training choose to stay in deluxe tents. These are big tents that most people are able to stand up in. Each tent has a comfortable twin-size bed and mattress, a small set of drawers, and a lamp. Bed linens are provided, but Yandara Yoga Institute does not provide a bath towel.
Comfortable and yet still close to nature. They like to call it comfort camping. They have seven bathrooms and eight showers on campus.

Craig is registered with Yoga Alliance with over 45 years and 15,000 hours of yoga teaching and yoga teacher training. He has studied Sivananda, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Yoga Flow styles. For five years, he has also studied Chinese yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. He has taught yoga teacher trainings in Baja, Mexico for the past 20 years. He is also an author of the book, "A Philosophy and Guide for the Intuitive Yoga Teacher", based on his years of yoga experience.
Christopher is the co-founder of Yandara and has over 20 years of meditation and yoga practice, his presence inspires those around him to enter their hearts and connect to their truest potential. Christopher has the gift to bring his students through fun and challenging flow sequences while cultivating the shared awareness that is yoga. His style is dynamic and intuitive, mixing creative movement with a powerful asana practice. Christopher’s passion for yoga philosophy and yoga psychology is a part of his daily life and weaves naturally into his teachings.
Sarasvati brings an open mind and open heart to the mat. A lover of the ocean and the elements, she often ties her classes into the themes of nature. She loves exploring yoga as an expression of the joy and abundance all around her. Sarasvati has been studying and teaching with Yandara since 2009. She is an inspired devotional musician and has had the pleasure of studying mantra and kirtan with her mother, Mercy Ananda. Her receptive and joyful nature invites exploration on the mat and a playful outlook on life.
Anne teaches from a great depth of understanding and inquisitiveness of the human experience and endeavors to assist her students to recognize their own inner beauty and greatness using yoga and yoga philosophy as a modality to access the dimensions of the Self. Anne approaches every class as an opportunity to connect with her own heart center and to create unity with all beings. Her goal is to create a safe, judgement-free zone where people can explore themselves and take what they need from their yoga practice.
Since completing her first 200-hour training in 2008, Amber has had the priveledge to learn from and teach with all the amazing instructors at the Yandara yoga Institute. Amber has also received her 500 hour certification as well as a certification in Prenatal Yoga. Forever in love with the flow of the ocean, Amber teaches and practices a fluid Vinyasa style, her students describe her classes as fun and dynamic with a strong emphasis on arriving in the present moment.
The course will take place in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Yandara Yoga Institute is a beautiful oceanfront retreat nestled beside the Pacific ocean of Mexico's Southern Baja Peninsula. Nature, seclusion, unspoiled white sandy beach, and abundant fresh fruits and vegetables paired with easy travel access from the USA and Canada create the perfect setting for world-class yoga teacher training.
Stroll the miles of peaceful beachfront or simply relax and meditate to the ever-present rhythm of the waves. Two miles up the beach is one of the premier surfing beaches in North America. The local climate is ideal with the sun shining year-round, refreshing sea breezes, and a clear sky unique to this part of the world fabulous for stargazing. Yandara is in a rural, very safe, and crime-free location.
All meals and herbal tea are included in the price. You will enjoy herbal tea, papaya, banana, granola, oatmeal, and boiled eggs during breakfast. Your brunches and dinners are delicious vegetarian meals served in buffet style. Fish and dairy may be served on occasion.
Yandara Yoga Institute mainly serves vegetarian cuisine, mostly beans, grains, and fresh vegetables. They serve fresh local caught fish twice a week and organic food as much as possible. They are able to accommodate allergies to gluten, lactose, and nuts.
As they are a small facility, they are not able to accommodate paleo, raw, or other extreme diets. Please consider your dietary needs and contact them if you have a concern.
Some popular dishes are Pad Thai, vegetable Enchiladas, sweet and sour tofu with broccoli, grilled Mahi Mahi (fish) with herbs, coconut curry, samosas with cilantro chutney, house-designed gourmet pizza, quinoa, basil pasta, and lentil soup. Yandara Yoga Institute supplies safe, bottled drinking water (also used for cooking).
In Mexico, Todos Santos is a beautiful town with good restaurants, shopping, and sites to see. They will assist in arranging transportation (5 USD per destination) to and from town. If you choose to stay at Yandara, no lunch will be provided. They only serve breakfast, fruit, tea, and dinner on Sundays.

Please book your flight to arrive at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. The cost is 40 USD each way. One of the staff will meet you at the airport where they will put you into groups so you can share shuttles to Yandara. It takes about an hour and fifteen minutes by car to get here from the airport.
If you are arriving or departing on a day other than the travel days, the cost is 120 USD for a private shuttle. Please remember to add your travel details to your account. If you are driving, please email them for written directions to Yandara.
