Overview

This is eight days and seven nights of yoga practice, workshops, deep rest, delicious vegan food, good company, and soul-filling sunsets. November is one of the best months to experience this part of Mexico. Your time will begin with the Full Moon, the perfect time for turning your attention inward.

Why?

To take time for yourself. To get away from the screens and dive into the lush reality of this wondrous planet. To be in a community with like-hearted people. To tap into the healing power of raw nature, conscious activity, and nourishing food. To slow down and bring awareness to your shared ecology and interconnectedness. To re-emerge fresh and feeling more like yourself than you have in a while.

A retreat is an opportunity to take space to feed yourself exactly what you need. For some, it is a rigorous deep dive into self-study. For others, it’s a time to gently unfold, rest and soak up the magic of time. One of the benefits of traveling to a particular location far from your regular routine is that you can better recognize your unconscious habit patterns, and decide whether you want to let them go or hold on to them. From a more conscious place, you return home to your families, work and life, energized and ready for what’s ahead. The idea is to come back to the world with more wholeness.

Driving directions from Puerto Vallarta

Drive north out of Puerto Vallarta on Hwy 200. The exit for Sayulita is at kilometer marker 123 and you will exit off the highway to the left. Approximately half a mile from the Hwy 200 turnoff you will come to a “Y” in the road. Continue straight ahead which is the left arm of the “Y”. This road bypasses the actual town of Sayulita.

Approximately 1.2 miles beyond this “Y” you will come to a dirt road on your right. Turn right onto this dirt road. Take this road until you come to the next intersecting dirt road on the right. Turn right onto this road and take this road straight ahead to the guard shack and gate. Tell the person manning the gate that you are going to Haramara Retreat. Immediately after the gate, it will become a cobblestone road and you are almost there. The road curves and passes a long red wall on your right. After you pass this wall Haramara Retreat will be the next place you can turn right at.
