During this yoga teacher training, you will be staying at In Pai Resort in Thailand. You can choose to stay in a single bungalow, twin shared bedroom, or dormitory room. The dormitory room is equipped with only 4 queen size bed with a shower room attached. For those who choose to stay in the twin bedroom, Xhale Yoga Pai will sensitively arrange the room sharing upon the same request and / or same gender. Please note that the availability of the single bungalow are limited and will be base upon first come first serve.

Program

The arrival of the retreat will be on Wednesday before 15:00. The first session will be at 15:00, for orientation as well as yoga practice. The first day will end with group dinner. The last session will be on Saturday at 17.00. It will be continued with an evening graduation ceremony. The yoga activities during the teacher training are as follow:

Yoga asana

The morning practice will be a guided Hatha yoga or project assignment, then continue with Yin or Restorative practice to restore physical balance and calm the mind.

Creative project and assignment

Learning to create your own sequence of practice and teaching throughout an assignment.

Asana and teaching lab

Learning to keeps up safety environment more creative and fun while experiencing the benefits. You will be informed or hand on adjustment will be discussed in a better depth and flow into the postures.

Mindfulness meditation

You will be guided on how to be mindful in each moment. You would learn to listen to your own mindset and how to understand what your mind clings on. It is believed that mindfulness promotes awareness and brings clarity.

Pranayama

Variations of breathing techniques will reliably produce the benefits of physical well-being. By practicing regularly breath work, it helps promote natural breath to go deeper, smoother, longer, therefore, improving energy wise.

Anatomy and physiology

You will discuss how the bones, muscles, joints, and all of the systems of the body interact in various yoga poses and how they are physically and energetically beneficial to you.

Philosophy, texts, and concepts

It will be based on 8 Limbs of Yoga by the Sage of Patanjali. You will learn about how you could bring harmony to your day to day life through the Yama and Niyama, the first 2 limbs of yoga.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda, also known as the sister science of yoga, will be introduced as a complimentary technique. It has a lot to do with balancing your own individual constitutions with the use of herbs, better dietary choices, and even your asana, pranayama, and meditation practices to create better overall health, radiance, and peacefulness.

Chakra system

You will take a more in-depth look into the chakra system and how it relates to students and movement, as well as self-study to heal and grow as human beings and teachers.

Daily schedule

  • 08:30-10:30 Pranayama and Hatha yoga
  • 11:00-12:30 Yin yoga
  • 12:30-14:30 Lunch break
  • 14:30-18:00 Yoga philosophy, anatomy, hand on adjustment, yoga nutrition, Chakra, group project

During the 4 weeks, the schedule for Monday to Saturday will be the same, but the subjects will change according to the program. Sundays are the days off with expectation for some homework.

Pai also has many natural, trekking, mountain biking, tubing in the river Pai, hot springs, Pai canyon and many popular waterfalls. This small town also offer a vibrant art and music culture that can be seen and heard as you walk around Pai’s small downtown area.

Food

During this yoga teacher training, you will be served 3 meals daily, breakfast blended, lunch and dinner. There will also morning chai tea, all day herbal tea, drinking water and all-day fruit basket.
