Sometimes, you just need to get away to create space for rest and growth. Autumn is the perfect season to shed expectations that might be holding you back and let go of what no longer serves you. It’s time to slow down in nature and connect with a sense of awe. Take a few days to explore movement and breath as you cozy up amidst the vibrant colors of fall.
Bloom Holistic Retreat Centre's light-filled studio and 1,700-square-foot outdoor deck is stocked with premium yoga props. There are cozy common areas for reading, journaling, and chatting with new friends.
Together Lee and Dana will bring joy and empathy, as well as decades of education and hands-on teaching wisdom to this retreat experience. Through healing practices including sunrise walks, intuitive yoga and somatics, breathwork, and meditation, you’ll have plenty of time to release familiar patterns and embrace a feeling of ease.
Lee and Dana's combined decades of experience will guide you to connect to yourself and your new friends in a safe and joyful environment using some familiar and some unique practices.
Participants will explore Hatha yoga, Restorative yoga, yoga Nidra, the chakras, somatic and intuitive movement, Qigong-inspired release techniques, guided meditation, pranayama, journaling, sunrise guided awe walks, bonfire chats, and woodfired sauna.
You'll also have six healthy farm-to-table and delicious meals made from ingredients grown on site, as well as use of 681 acres of property, free time, and many magical surprises. You can enjoy the lakefront property to kayak, stroll, journal, or just unplug and reconnect to your beautiful self!
With 1,000 hours of training in various yoga modalities and somatics, she thanks many incredible healers and teachers for leading her towards these transformative practices. Dana is a Clinical Somatics Educator and Therapist facilitating group work on chronic pain/stress, as well as 1:1 therapy. She teaches in-person aerial yoga, yin yoga, breath work, meditation, and ceremony, marrying science and spirituality. Dana’s aim is to help people tap into their embodied wisdom through intuition and playful exploration – she hopes we can all feel healthy, joyful, and at home in our bodies.
Lee has been working as a fitness leader for more than 30 years. Known for her WoW Power Walking program which she created in 2002, she has brought fun, fitness, and marathon training to the pedestrian gait including speaking at fitness and health conferences across North America. Since 2013, she has completed more than 1,000 hours of yoga teacher training. Lee is co-author of The Walking Solution (Human Kinetics, 2020) and author of Step Outside (Plumleaf Press) to be published in 2024.
Your home for this retreat is Bloom, an architectural gem and wellness center located on 681 acres of land beside Loughborough Lake, 20 minutes north of Kingston. There, you can take in expansive views of lakefront and forest through floor to ceiling windows.

Included are six delicious and nourishing farm-to-table meals as well as drinks.
Bloom serves vegetarian food in a self-serve, communal setting. They are committed to serving Bloom-grown, locally sourced, and organic ingredients when in season and possible. Aside from vegetables, you’ll enjoy the eggs from their chickens along with the herbs grown in their own garden.
As part of their efforts to reduce waste, Bloom composts as well as serves appropriate food waste to their chickens.
Healthy snacks will be set out on arrival day and a midday snack will be set out on mid-retreat days for guests to enjoy. Nuts and fresh fruit will also always be available at their self-serve coffee and tea station.
During your retreat, you can expect the following meals: dinner on the retreat start day; early breakfast, lunch, and dinner on mid-retreat days; and an early light breakfast and mid-morning brunch on departure day. Each meal will be well-balanced and include protein, to keep guests feeling satisfied and nourished.
Bloom has daily set menus consisting of vegetarian meals with gluten-free options when requested. Allergies and restrictions can be accommodated if provided on registration. They cannot ensure that food will be nut-free and they are not equipped to handle food preferences, severe allergies, medical diets, customized meal plans, nor administer EpiPen.

Bloom Holistic Retreat Centre is a short drive north from Kingston, ON on Loughborough Lake. This is a three-hour drive or so from Toronto. Upon arrival, you will not need the use of your car again until departure. WoW Power Walking will also connect people who wish to carpool.
You can also arrange transport to Kingston via train and take a cab, or rideshare from there.
