There are three yoga studios, huge garden area available for students to practice yoga and meditate, so students immediately feel home after they arrive. World Peace Yoga School is also one of the oldest, traditional yoga teacher training school in India that follows Himalayan yoga tradition, one of the oldest yoga tradition in India. 300-hour yoga teacher training course

World Peace Yoga School’s 300-hour YTTC is perfect for those who've been completed the 200-hour YTTC already, and looking forward to go deeper into the science and practice of yoga. The aim of most students who is attending this course is to be registered by Yoga Alliance US for 500 RYT that requires students to have the 200 YTT hours.

1. Recitation of sacred sound (mantra chanting)

The purpose of mantra chanting in yoga is to generate vibrations and connect with the universe. Each mantra is special and rich with spiritual energy.

Yoga philosophy is the foundation of World Peace yoga practice and is the key to earn yogic strength. Through the path of Vedanta philosophy, you will establish a solid, well-rounded yoga practice. You will explore Patanjali yoga sutras that include chapter 1 on Samadhi pada and chapter 2 on Sadhana pada.

11. Yoga therapy

Incorporating therapeutic yoga practices helps to address various physical, mental, and emotional disorders. Students will learn techniques for combatting these issues through yoga.

12. Teaching practice (adhyapanam)

Students will take turns practicing their teaching skills by performing in front of their peers and teachers. There will be demonstration, alignment, and instructions.

Note

All classes are mandatory only in case of an emergency or illness one can take leave with respected teacher permission. Uninformed leaves won’t be accepted and this will effect on student monthly performance.

Prerequisites

A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. The practice and especially the teaching of yoga demand a high degree of self-discipline and purity. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures, and asana classes.

Meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and nudity are prohibited during the course as they are counterproductive to the yoga practice. Participants who do not comply with the school rules may be dismissed from the course.

Discipline rules for students

  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school
  • If you are having a fast any day, you have to inform kitchen manager for avoiding food waste
  • Always make discipline, respect teachers, and follow all rules
  • Always be on time, you are late means will not be permitted to join class
  • Clear your books of account before departure from World Peace Yoga School
  • Before departure return your books, maps, or any goods which you borrowed
  • World Peace Yoga School provides accommodation for a student who join yoga classes, so any friends or relatives will not be included in accommodation
  • Student have to present in all scheduled program of World Peace Yoga School

Arrival and departure

In order to attend the orientation program, one should arrive at least a day before starting of the course. On the first day, at 10:30 a.m., the course will start with yoga ritual. On last day of the course, graduation ceremony takes place and it finishes by 11:30 a.m., therefore, departure should be planned one day after completion of the course.

Included excursions

Weekend excursions are included as well as one Himalayas sightseeing trip.

World Peace Yoga School have taken extra precautions by hiring a dedicated staff to prepare each and every meal at the school from fresh ingredients. You will need to inform World Peace Yoga School in advance so their chef can prepare food for you especially.

Eating outside of school is pretty safe in the restaurants at Rishikesh. If your stomach is sensitive, you should beware of eating street foods.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

The closest and most convenient airport for you is to fly to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). The airport to Rishikesh by car is a 6 hours journey. World Peace Yoga School have a transportation package for 150 USD which will cover your airport pick-up, transfer from Delhi to Rishikesh (by car) and after completion of the course transfer back from Rishikesh to Delhi.

One way transportation from Delhi airport to Rishikesh can also be availed for 75 USD. In case your flight arrives late night and you want to stay overnight in Delhi, airport pick-up cost will be 25 USD.

If you are visiting India for the first time then it is better for you to take a flight to Dehradun Airport (DED). World Peace Yoga School is 30-minute drive by car. Transfer from Dehradun Airport (DED) is included.

Arrival by bus

Travel by bus is quite cheap but a bit inconvenient for first time visitors.

Arrival by train

Another good option is to travel by train (airport to New Delhi train station by car, then by train to Haridwar and from Haridwar to Rishikesh by car).
