Food provided at our center is 100% vegetarian but not vegan. It can be arranged provided you inform the chef about it well in advance.

We serve 3 vegetarian meals per day (and a cup of chai during our tea breaks) for the duration of the course.

Our meals are unlimited. Generally, you’ll get a plate of food with all of the various vegetarian Indian dishes appropriate for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (according to a yogic diet.) We always make a surplus of food for our students, which is usually placed on the dinner tables for our students to grab from if they want more of a particular dish. "The staff where great they did their best to make sure you where happy The accommodation is in a half finished building. The dining hall is open to the elements monkeys run rampant. The pillows are very old and have turned a yellow brown. The beds are too old as well. It's nothing like what was projected on the website. "

"My yoga teacher training was all in all good. The holder of the place Visnu, didn't seem into anything else but his own talk about cleanliness. Few days it was terribly cold and 2/3 of us got sick. But they didn't put heaters on rooms on Visnu's command, even though reception suggested it, because of money. We were really lucky cause he was away for two weeks of the time that we were there. I wanted to write an honest review about my experience but they didn't let me. They told me I'm an evil person who just wants to harm their school. Cause it was so cold few of the students being sick and disappointed dropped out. Visnu made them feel really bad about themselves and gave ridiculously little money back to them."

"Our ashtanga teacher Sanjeev was good and made us challenge ourselves. He was there for his first months. Our Hatha teacher Helen was lovely as a person but not really an inspiring yoga teacher. Neither of the teachers really aligned with us, which was a shame. Our yoga therapy teacher was really good and enthusiastic. Our yoga anatomy was touch by our hatha yoga teacher and from those classes I didn't really get anything out of. Yoga philosophy was good. And our pranayama and (in Visnu absense) meditation teacher was something exceptional. Because the presence of this Sanjeev, I hold no hurge to the place. Some things resonated with me and some things really didn't."

"Have to add to the review that our Ashtanga yoga teacher Sanjeev was really attentive cause my ankle was badly sprained in the last week of being there."

"But the reception, person who sang us mantras at the beginning and the end plus on kirtan and our pranayama teacher were really good and kind-hearted people, for them I would give more than five stars. I can't remember if I added already that the place changed locations since then, so maybe the temperature next January is tolerable."

"This was great learning experience for me but would never go back to that school as long as Visnu is the leader of the place. Hopefully they will have more stable staff from now on cause maybe that will improve the quality. The competition in Rishikesh between yoga schools is crazy, so always wherever in the world where money made from western people and competition. It might take take nasty turns"

"Management Response from World Peace Yoga School:"

"Our building, accommodation, campus and yoga studios are new and we are the most reputed school in Rishikesh with well qualified, PHD teachers with yogic background. Vishnu ji is master, spiritual body and one of the most happiest, loving person in Rishikesh. He always inspires students to live yogic life-style but some students don't want to follow it cause they think yoga is only physical exercise. Our purpose is always to bring change in people lives, to prepare their bodies, minds for yoga and it requires sacrifice for without sacrifice there is no absolute knowledge. "

      "About room heaters:"

"It is very clear in our website as well as listings that we don't provide room heater. for the reason we teach breathing techniques in pranayama while course such us, how to heat the body, how to cool the body, how to control the mind with breathing so if some body use room heater before and after practice then it affects on body temperature and this way they can not learn or success techniques. "

      "About teachers: "

"Helen is most paid and popular, knowledgeable teacher, she has been teaching more then 3 years around the world also loved by students the most."

"All over we understand people traveling long way to learn yoga from India but at same time they have to follow Indian yoga system. We can not support wrong behaviours cause it is against our whole system. our aim, our work purpose to give the whole world healthy and peaceful lifestyle."

"I really love this experience. The school is serious and know what they're teaching us. Great teachers on theoretical part and on the asana part. My knowledge got organized and definitely increased. I got straight on my body and so I could improve my asanas. Staying in the school for the whole day helped to breath and learn more about mudras, pranayama, poses, cause we were hearing about them the whole day. Some rooms doesn't have balcony, but Its okay. The bed is big. And the shower is hot, even lasting for 10 minutes. We eat 3 times a day, the food is simple, but exactly what a yogi needs. We also have some trip arranged on our day off, witch are very nice. Includes temples and meditation. And we got a manual and some books to help us on our teacher training"

"I was among the lucky few who had the fantastic opportunity to participate in this August's 200hrs meditation teacher training at World Peace Yoga School. It was a truly transformational experience and my first step in becoming a real yogi. The teachers were incredibly supportive and knowledgeable during this journey and I learned more from them than I could express. They taught us different meditation techniques and gave us the opportunity to teach them ourselves. Daily asana and stretching practices made sure we improved our posture and were able to sit for an extended period of time. Also our philosophy and pranayama classes provided us with a deeper understanding of yogic practices and lifestyle. The staff also took us to exciting places on our days off and made sure we really enjoyed our stay in Rishikesh. I would highly recommend this teacher training to anyone interested in deepening their meditation practice or want to learn how to teach others. The location of the school is very nice, near the Ganga river and surrounded by nice little cafes and shops where you can buy everything you might need for your stay. I had a spacious room with balcony from which I could not only see the river, but also the most stunning sunsets. I will forever be grateful to Vishnu ji who opened my eyes in his magical guided meditations to other levels of consciousness and perceptions and will always be an inspiration as a teacher. I am sure I will come back soon to this very special place!"

"A perfect location to do a yoga teacher training course. World Peace Yoga School is in a particularly peaceful part of Rishikesh, Laaxman Jhula. It directly overlooks the Ganga and has beautiful views of the Himalayan mountains."

"The multi-style training was what drew me to the course and I really enjoyed learning how to teach both Ashtanga and Hatha, in addition to pranayama, yoga Nidra and anatomy and philosophy. "

"The course was challenging as there was a lot to learn in a short time. I expected there to be more asana practice, as the theory at times could be intense but overall an amazing experience with Insightful teachers."

"Ravi is an outstanding Ashtanga teacher and was really in depth with the adjustments for the entire primary series. Yoga Nidra was one of the most transcendental experiences, thanks Karina and Pierre! "

"We also had the best chef (Raj Kumar's chapattis are hands down the best I've ever had!) and Ashish in the Ayurvedic centre who sorted out all our aches and pains."

"It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend. Thanks to you all, I'm sure I'll see you all again one day. "

I will need to teach yoga at home. Drawing on the wisdom of the Rishis of the Himalayas, we learned from the great masters of this tradition. The accommodation is cozy, the yoga hall is bright and clean, the food is delicious, the extra activities were wonderful, the teachers are amazing, and each day is packed with new information and discoveries. Thank you for everything! I wish Vishnu, Yognedra, Vijay, Ravinder, Mahesh, and Kushal all the best and great success to you in the future! Towards world peace, one teacher at a time."

"The teacher training course at World Peace Yoga School was an amazing experience. It was positive atmosphere at all time and they were really focused on our growth. They made sure to deepen both our personal practice and our confidence as teachers. The class sizes were small and intimate so there were a lot of personalized attention. I never had a question left unanswered and all of the teachers would give extra time to help clarify any concepts that we didn't understand. The yoga room was airy and clean, and I felt like it was home. Vishnu made sure to treat us not as guests, but as family. All of the instructors were very humble and knowledgeable. They all recognized that this program is a learning experience not only for us, but for them as well. Coming out of this program, I truly feel like I have all the tools I need to become a yoga teacher. Also, the food is amazing! Thanks guys."

"This program connected me to the roots of what it means to be human. Not just a person going through the daily motions, but a conscious person. I am suddenly aware of who I used to be, who I am now, and who I am to be for the rest of my life. I deeply understand the importance of breath in connection to universal unity. All that is alive is breathing and I am one of them. I am one of them who takes the time to deepen my breath and practices being a humble yet strong individual. This program came at an unexpected time in my like, but I wouldn't change it for the world. This school gave me the tools to continue a fulfilled, happy, yogi lifestyle. What I will share with the world is beyond words and I hope to impact those in need of a deeper consciousness. Thank you, World Peace Yoga School, the journey has just begun!"

Different teachers and students share their knowledge and life experiences, which really inspires me to keep on practice and searching my inner heart. This experience will change my attitude towards myself and outer world. It will also change my lifestyle to some extent. It must be one of my correct decisions that I have ever made."

"A month ago, I did not think I'd ever train to be a yoga teacher. Since I started my course, I have learned about an abundance of yogic practices such a pranayama, yoga Nidra, Ashtanga, Kundalini, and many more. Some of these practices I plan to continue practicing for years to come. Completing the training has given me somethings that is so much rewarding than pictures or a tan or mai taus on a beach. It has shown me a path to a healthier and spiritually richer life, a path to a place I might otherwise have never found."

As an American who was searching Google for good schools, without a clue as to what's legitimate and worthwhile, I can say now so happily that this place was perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The program is whole. Yoga is taught from many angles, its philosophy, anatomy, physical movements, breathing practices, and meditation were all covered. But really even more importantly here that the people in the school, hotel, restaurant here all make being at peace pretty easy. Despite the muscle soreness, there's been lots of smiling! It's important to add that it takes commitment, the days are long and the teacher's all joke, but lots to learn so an open and hardworking mentally are best to come into an intense two week program. It flew by though."

"It was a really good experience for me. Before I come here, I was really busy at my life work to go out with friend, I did not sleep much, I drink and eat a lot. I did not think about my health, thinking that I am fat, kind of tired of my real life. I was thinking that yoga is only good for body and that it is a kind of exercise. Now I understand what yoga is about. Many things came into in my mind and body. This experience is only one part of my life but this experience will help me in my future for sure. I want to say thank you for giving me good experience for all teacher, friends, family, and God. If I can converse and understand English, I can get more in depth and nice information about yoga. It was really unfortunate about this. It is my problem and I will study English too."

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my 200-hour teacher training course at World Peace Yoga School. What a knowledgeable, kind, and caring group of teachers who are passionate about their field of study and always willing to help. I am filled with so much love and gratitude for the experiences that I have had along this months long journey and I cannot thank Vishnu, the teachers, and my fellow student teachers enough. Nothing more can be said to express my sincere appreciation and content, except that if you are considering undertaking this course, I believe it is a wise decision. Ultimately, you will chose the course that is right for you and I am so glad that this is the course that I chose, because I believe I could not have had a better experience. Best wishes and love to Vishnu, his team, and my fellow student teachers."

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at your school. I have learned so much, in such a short time. I feel physically and mentally stronger. I had the opportunity to meet amazing kind souls to share this experience with. The teachers were exceptional. My feelings about the yoga classes is mixed though. Having instruction from trained professionals is vital. In such a short time period, having seven days out of 23 days with student teachers taking the classes, meant we only had 16 days of instruction with a professional. I understand other schools have students run their own class in other time slots rather than taking up the time where the trained teacher instructs. I adored the pranayama class. I learned so much about philosophy and pranayama from this teacher. I love Vishnus classes. He is a very engaging teacher who has a beautiful welcoming energy. The course was extremely beneficial for me. I will take the knowledge I have gained into my future life."

"World Peace Yoga School has been the physical, spiritual, and emotional home for a journey that over the past four weeks and it has completely changed my life for the better. Arriving at World Peace Yoga School to meet Vishnu, I was welcomed with that beautiful presence open arms and kind, loving heart. I did not plan to attend this school until I walked past and felt an intense pull to see what it was all about. And I'm so glad that I followed my heart because my spirit is now filled with so much peace, love, joy, and happiness. The teachers are incredibly inspiring, loving, and ferrous with their wisdom, knowledge, energy, and time. The curriculum is thorough, it was wonderful to learn about many aspects of yoga such as meditation, pranayama, asana, philosophy, yoga therapy, anatomy, yoga Nidra, yoga psychology, history, and spirituality. I would absolutely recommend World Peace Yoga School to anyone on a spiritual journey or anyone just looking to learn the basics of vast, transformational science that is yoga. Many thanks. Love and shanti."

Also a teacher training course is good for everyone who is interested in philosophic aspect such as "who am I", "how to control our emotions", "how to have a happy life". The answers are here. Just inspire yourself in this way of life called yoga. Half a year experience in yoga before the teacher training course and after the training I feel very good with myself. It seems that my life opens from another side. Thank you for this discovery. I cannot express my feeling because this class with all the teachers gave me much more knowledge than what I expected."

"I really enjoyed the yoga and meditation classes with Vishnu. Thanks to his open and friendly character, I felt back immediately welcome. He puts a lot of effort into his lessons to make everybody feel comfortable and when we're outside the class, he always is all ears. Beside the asanas and different meditation techniques, we learned a lot of general understanding of yoga philosophy. Just remember a little bit of that and it can improve your life. "My experience of yoga teacher training with World Peace Yoga School was impressive! The school has a complete program for body, mind, and soul. It gives me clarity and purity in myself that I wanted for long time. Yoga teacher training course is the perfect program to do at World Peace Yoga School. What I like the most is the aim and objectives of World Peace Yoga to bring peace in the world through yoga and charity. The fee that I paid went to the poor children of Orissa to educate them. Thank you Vishnu for doing a great job for humanity. I will come back again to complete my 500-hour course. Thanks to all the teachers who helped me to change my life in one month. I cannot forget Ravinder's asana class and Vishnu's meditation and philosophy class that made me understand about the philosophy of my life. I highly recommend this place to all."

"A perfect yoga teacher training course at World Peace yoga School. Particularly the group member Swamiji, Yogi Vishnu, and the restaurant Silent Vive (food and staff). I really appreciated the contribution of Satya to make the course feel more organized. Swamiji's classes and presence in the course was the highlight of this program. Rana is really knowledgeable in asana alignment and breath work. The school is very nice, clean, and fully vibrant. Being in the bank of Ganga River gave a very nice feeling."

"Amazing yoga teacher training course at World Peace Yoga School, Rishikesh. Very grateful to all to share their experience and I did my best to practice them. The philosophy class made me touch my heart many times. Transformed my thinking in some ways, Swamiji is just a light. I hope I bring some light with me. I adopted a few techniques of meditation already and had many experiences to help me open my insight! All classes are very relaxed and very openhearted! Sometime it make me feel that all Western people can offer is money to exchange for all the knowledge of health and self knowledge that we lost somewhere on the way."

"I am leaving World Peace Yoga School after my teacher training course with a huge smile on my face. I enjoyed it very much. Every class were nice and had good atmosphere. Mahesh was a great teacher, very fast as well but knew how to take care of slow students like me. He always wanted to be aware that everybody could follow his class. In philosophy class, I am not even asking but the questions were answered. Every class touched me deeply. I was loving the way of teaching (not too serious, story telling). I do not think I have ever been this concentrated. Very good way of keeping and running the class. The Ashtanga teacher really know what he was teaching. Had answers to our questions and could tolerate us when we were laughing because of being too tired. I learned about the adjustments and will keep on practicing more. My hips were opened in the meditation and that was most beautiful thing. Thank you so much and I feel grateful."

Vishnu was such a great teacher, very knowledgeable, warm, and funny. I stayed here at the his yoga ashram World Peace Yoga School during my course and really enjoyed it. Everything about the course was perfect. Vishnu is such a kind, happy, and generous teacher. He was more than happy to answer any questions we had and also took us to many interesting places around Rishikesh. I had very little experience when I came here but Vishnu was a patient and competent teacher. An amazing experience with countless life lesion and practical advice. "I came to Rishikesh looking for a good yoga teacher training course to improve my practice and teaching skills. As soon as I got here, I visited many schools in Rishikesh and I had gone through many offers but when I met Vishnu in the World Peace Yoga School I stopped my search and immediately I requested him to enroll me in the yoga teacher training program. The rooms they offer was very clean and European standard room and the food was amazing. Yogesh Ji prepared such delicious Ayurvedic and yogic food with different flavors everyday. Ravinder, Rana, and Swami Yogendra are the amazing teachers. My most important part is Yogi Vishnu who taught me the best meditation ever in my yoga life. His presence is enough to go to the deep state of meditation. Now I feel World Peace center is my second home and I will visit Vishnu and his school many times. He is an inspiring and powerful teacher and his classes fill me with joy and the correct attitude and softer for my later meditation."
