I had not the possibility to enjoy my retreat for several reasons. The rooms in the location were kind of humid and cold and the organizers asked us not to put the heating on but take some additional blankets instead if we are cold. There were only two bottles of water provided at the beginning (missing in my room) and then no drinks anymore. I was promised delicious smoothies... There was an empty fridge throughout the retreat with the name written on it DRINKS.I had a baby with me (7 months) and I was promised a babysitter during the retreat for 10.-/h to share with another parent. In the end I had to pay it by myself every time during yoga session as the other kids were not allowed anymore to the retreat as they might disturb being 4y of age. The babysitter was a housekeeper of one of the organizers and not used to take care of small babies. Her insecurity did not make it comfortable for my baby to stay with her so I had to take my daughter after one hour max. This of course made it impossible for me to attend to the sessions so I tried to arrange an alternative child care. The organizer intervened here as she thought I would have to stay with her babysitter (she couldn't understand that my child was not comfortable with hers as her own 4y old son is taken car of with her). On the third day of the retreat the organizer didn't even ask me anymore if and how I could attend the events; she just didn't care anymore.I felt not treated welcome at this place and left two days prior to the official end the retreat. Of course the organizer did not offer to reimburse me any money I paid already.Having said that, the yoga teacher was a great professional and her recipes amazing. So to sum all up: an organizer of a retreat should not be more eager in attending herself the sessions but rather take care of the clients to be able to. I felt I sponsored her and her boyfriends 5 days holiday off from her son.
Spending time with one of my favorite teachers, the beautiful Kat Shaw and absorbing the magic atmosphere she creates. It was lovely to have our own space when we needed it in the cozy eco-rooms. The food was awesome and wish I could eat like that every day. The amount and type of yoga was spot on, not too much, not too little, just perfect.

Itinerary was well structured and well-paced, managed to do a good amount of yoga but also enough free time to explore the area and relax. Yoga classes were amazing, Kat and Pamela are amazing teachers, allowed everyone to go at their own pace, creating a great environment to learn and be challenged (in a good way) at the same time. The food was creative, interesting and delicious. Most importantly was the general vibe to have fun!
I liked the relaxed, open approach to the yoga and to the idea of retreating in general. I actually liked the mix of students- beginning and very advanced - and everyone working at his or her own level. There was not the slightest note of fanaticism or sternness or rigidity to anything we did--food or yoga or anything. Yet there was a structure, which was good. The balance between structured activities and free time was just right. A retreat that is too structured can prevent people from being still and comfortable within themselves, which is part of what a retreat ought to do, I think. What is the point of retreating from an overly scheduled life into a highly scheduled retreat? And I loved swimming in the river! Wow!! Oh, and how could I fail to mention the fantastic desserts that Pam brought - a revelation and a delight.
Everything superb from start to finish. Kat and the staff at the Retreat were FAB. Accommodations were so comfy and cozy and so good that it was individual so you had your own space. The highlight was definitely the outdoor bath. Facilities were all well maintained and spotless. The energy of the location is so powerful, if I went and did nothing but sit and absorb it I would be very happy. Yoga was great as always and the mixed level group was well managed. Food was beautiful, a real treat.'
