Rarotonga is by far the most populated of the Cook Islands and its township of Avarua is the capital. Located in the southern group of islands, it is known just as Raro locally.

Aitutaki, meanwhile is an island in the Southern Cook Islands a 45-minute flight from the capital island of Rarotonga. It is a frequent nominee for any Most Beautiful Island in the Pacific award. Its a combination of high island and atoll and has a huge turquoise lagoon surrounded by tiny, picture-perfect islets. If Rarotonga is the Tahiti of the Cooks, then Aitutaki is the Bora Bora.

Aitutaki lagoon and its islands are breathtakingly beautiful. The classic picture postcard of small palm tree fringed tropical island, with shallow, warm turquoise waters, corals, tropical fish and blue skies is taken here. The lagoon is large, taking about an hour in a boat to cross it. Tourism facilities are well developed, but are still low-key enough not to intrude on the nature of the island.

On this retreat, all meals are super healthy, where fresh local vegetables, fish and chicken are used. The food is mainly gluten free. Meals include food like quinoa; gluten free lentils; pumpkin and caulifower mash; eggplant/tofu and halloumi stirfry; kumara baked healthy fries; fresh fish straight from the boats that come in that morning; fresh raw or steamed vegetables or fruit whatever is in season; chia; Healthy vegetable soup.

"A week in The Cook Islands doing yoga, paddling and eating healthy food was exactly what I needed. Thank you Charlotte and Tuhe for welcoming me into your home, treating me like family and opening my eyes to new experiences on the water and on the land. I loved paddling each day on the clear water, looking out at the beautiful scenery in the distance and watching the fish and stingrays pass by under my board. I am so glad to have learned SUP and SUP Yoga from Charlotte, who teaches with such clear direction and passion. This experience has given me the foundations and confidence to continue SUP and SUP yoga back home in Australia. All in all, a great retreat filled with adventure and exciting opportunities to get out on the water."

"If you are wanting a retreat that spends six days solely doing yoga, complete clean eating, no sugar, no alcohol and in my words no fun, then this isn't really the right retreat for you. However, if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and try something new and truly amazing then Charlotte's retreat is definitely the right choice. She helped guide us by any means possible, she was honest, humble, gracious and so welcoming and kind-hearted. I was travelling on my own and I was never left behind in any of the activities. At times I got nervous and was unsure if I should be doing certain things but I was always given the encouragement to endure it and just do my best. It is quite strenuous on some days. We did a mountain climb, 12 km paddle, 90 minutes sessions of yoga on the stand up paddle boards, underwater rock running and an open ocean paddle. If you go in with an open mind you will have your expectations blown. The food was super tasty and always freshly made waiting for us. I've never eaten so much food in my life. We were always treated with respect and given options if we were not confident in participating in any of the activities. If we wanted to go do our own thing we could but of us chose not to. As it was very quite rewarding spending such a fun and life changing week with such driven and like minded people. Rarotonga is beautiful and Charlotte and her dad Tuhe are even more beautiful. I can wait to make this an annual trip!"

"It has been nearly a week since we left the Cook Islands and Richard and i can’t thank you and Tuhe enough for the amazing experiences you provided for us. You and Tuhe are truly beautiful people and without your genuine care for us all the week would not have been as special as it was. Richard commented that it was the best holiday of his life and that Tuhe is in the top 10 of people he has met in his life that has influenced him. For me the retreat was everything i had hoped it would be and more. I came away from the week feeling so relaxed while still feeling that i had achieved a lot and kept my body busy. Thank you both so much for being the amazing people that you are. We hope to join you and Tuhe again next year."

"If youre adventurous, easy going and have an open heart this experience with Charlotte is for you. If Charlottes big beautiful grin and smiling eyes dont make you feel instantly at home her dad Tuhe will. The week is pretty relaxed, filled with lots of stand-up paddle over the clearest bluest water, where youll lay anchor with a bag of sand and stretch and breathe as fish swim under your board and blue star fish lie idle. Youll eat fresh fish, home cooked meals, get drunk on an abundance of coconuts, live like a local, practice yoga with crabs on deserted beaches and make some amazing new friends."

"Wow, what an amazing holiday! I doubt whether I could have any future holiday to match this as a package. And to be part of your family was the ultimate CookIslands experience! We all achieved our goals and far exceeded our expectations of our accomplishments. We had lots of 'first'. Lots of people can do a pretty brochure and write a good story, but your retreat delivered exactly what you promised which is rare. So, Charlotte (the most amazing & inspiring woman in the world) & Tuhe, (the most beautiful man in the world) THANKYOU!"
