The yoga holiday is near the ocean, on a relaxed little community with a beautiful garden, swimming pool and theater. One week, diving into yoga will transform your body, mind, and life, if you let it. It's a perfect way to get out of daily structures, get back on your feet, and make some improvements on yourself.

Every morning there will be a yoga class around 09:00h. The morning classes are to stimulate your system, lengthen your bones and muscles after a long rest in the bed. Morning classes poses aim to stretch and connect with your body. Some breathing exercises to bring in fresh energy and get ready for another beautiful day. The moment is there to say thanks for having another beautiful day to add to your life!

The morning class will help you get ready for the day. Deepen your knowledge on yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breathing exercise), philosophy and design, or extend your own (home) practice. Dive into yoga and explore!

Afternoon classes are there to rejuvenate your body&mind, to relax, to find your own limits, strength, and willpower. Aimed at more Self-knowledge and fun! Poses in the afternoon are deepening, strengthening and refreshing, the final relaxations takes a bit more time to really relax body&mind.

The afternoon / evening class is based on unwinding and relaxation. You will work with restorative poses, stretch and flex, practice some minor meditation and deep relaxation. Every evening there is another class around 18:30.

All classes are suitable for beginner and intermediate yogis. The Classes are a mixture of styles; Vinyasa (flow), Power, Restorative and basic Hatha yoga. Some pranayama, nidra/meditation will pass the week as well. The classes are thaught at each individuals pace and experience.

To have some extra free time, WindSurfYoga schedules one day with just a morning session in the program. This way, you have some time to explore the surroundings islands or just have some extra "me-time".

Once a week, WindSurfYoga likes to do a joined dinner, which can be a barbecue or a good local meal outside.

No excursions are included in the package but WindSurfYoga like to be spontaneous and sometimes make a trip to; Gibraltar, Vejer (beautiful white village, typical for the Andalucian area), Tarifa. If you have an idea, just share it and WindSurfYoga will look into all the possibilities.

"I had a fantastic time with Windsurfyoga run by Eline and Martyn. The holiday was just as advertised. The yoga was great and so was the windsurfing. My time was great fun and also rather therapeutic. I feel relaxed and calm as if I've had a brilliant holiday. The other guests were interesting and fun as were Eline and Martyn who really looked after you. They were the best part of the holiday. I would recommend it to anyone open minded enough to try this unique holiday experience and rate them 10/10."

"I'm very happy with this retreat. There were very nice people in the house. We practiced yoga every day, the sessions were personalized, and I learned a lot of new things. Thank you!"

"The holiday was great. The Yoga sessions were intuitive and non intrusive on my holiday time. Elena was very accommodating and relaxed with her class timings and content. The windsurfing classes were small and very personal. Martin, the instructor, was extremely patient for someone like me who has never done windsurfing before."

    • Review by Claire and Catherine

"Sadly our yoga holiday did not meet our expectations. Firstly, we were expecting to stay in a hotel or apartment with our own bathroom and a pool. This is what had been advertised on the website at the time of booking. About a fortnight before arriving, and only because I asked for the address, we were told that the hotel was too expensive and alternative accommodation had been arranged."

"When we arrived, we found out that we were staying in Eline's flat and sharing a bathroom with the other guests. The shower frequently ran cold. There was no pool. The room itself was fine but without simple and expected items such as hangers, a mirror, a hand towel, and a safe to lock up valuables."

"Secondly, the yoga was not good. Before booking we asked explicitly about Eline's style of teaching. We wanted high intensity flow yoga. We were reassured that this is exactly what we'd get but we didn't. Eline's style is slow and doesn't flow. Having taken yoga holidays in the past, normally the morning class is between one and a half to two hours long and the evening class over an hour. Eline's morning class was often shorter than 45 minutes with only about 35 minutes of movement and 10 minutes of savasana. The same in the evening. It was really disappointing."

"Fuetaventura is a beautiful island with lovely beaches with white sand. The staff in the bars and restaurants are charming. And the location of Eline's apartment was close to two supermarkets and only a short walk to the beach. Thank goodness, without these things the holiday would have been a total disaster. If the holiday had been advertised accurately we would not have come. It's unlikely we'll book through bookyogaretreats again as your audit and checking process of the holidays promoted through your site clearly isn't working. We simply didn't get what we were expecting."

    • Review by Eline

"I am sad getting a review as bad as this, we worked our very best to satisfy both ladies on their holiday."

"I realize that its a personal experience and we are very aware that our holiday isn't a good fit and suitable for everybody. We offer a yoga holiday with wind surf yoga, a simple holiday with daily yoga and if you prefer a bit more luxury you can include massages, breakfast, and airport transfers."

"Cath and Claire came together, which is different from most solo travelers we have, and therefore the atmosphere in the house will be different for them. We are a guesthouse, its not my home and I would not advertise a hotel as this is not what we aim for. WindSurfYoga travels through Europe organizing; windsurfing, surfing, and yoga holidays, we keep it small and with good relaxed vibes! I understand this is not as they experienced before. I am happy that we are different. I am sad that they call me slow. "

"Before they booked, they asked me if i could make the classes more dynamic. I answered that I can but only that week as the other weeks I have beginners and I want to take time to get into the basics. I normally teach beginners and intermediate yogi's so of course its a challenge to teach two very experienced woman. But I trust my skills, I learned Vinyasa as my teaching background and that's what I wanted to offer. I made their sequences more deep, asked there favorite and less favorite poses, and worked with it. We breathe, practice asana flowing (but with attention for alignment and the body) and in the end we make a short (five minute maybe) savasana, were sometimes some small yoga Nidra relaxation exercise will come in. I even told the ladies that they could do another pose if they do not appreciate savasana. So we never mentioned high intensity as I could not do that, I believe in yoga not fitness. "

"Classes on the yoga holiday are taking 60 minutes, as you have two a day this makes two hours a day, leaving time for enjoying your holiday. And for most people this is enough. This is what they also asked for, they wanted just to do some yoga and enjoy their free time. I don't cut classes short, I always get told I'm taking to much time, yes when it comes to starting later I teach longer, I cant fit my sequence in 45 min, but I am glad time flew by for them. "

"From the moment they arrived I made sure everything stayed shiny, bright, a big vegan breakfast with all on and in it. I appreciate if people notify me half way that they like a change in the class so I can actually do something about it. "

"I really want to bring from my heart that I am sad their holiday experience was so bad, I am sorry they didn't enjoyed as much, but for my low budget easy going package with that price, I cant make more out of it than I actually did now. I cant change people's expectations. I still also hope somewhere they could take something positive out of it as we had yoga on the beach and we chatted about it too."

"The surf lessons would be better by separating beginner and intermediates. The SUP yoga was lots of fun and also very useful. It's nice to connect with your body, doing an active thing while getting relaxed and calm. I can feel my own body stretches and relax."

"My first contact with yoga was very good and fun. Eline is professional in her yoga classes. I definitely going do to yoga more often. Everything is done with attention, really nice to get lunch to the activities, and good contact by email. When I arrived, the room and house were clean and tidy. Good atmosphere in the house. I had a really good time!"

    • Review by Veerle Schoofs from Belgium

"WindSurfYoga delivers! I had a marvelous week with 5 days of wavesurfing (which went with ups and downs but thanks to the support of WindSurfYoga and Surfintrip I pushed through) and 7 sessions of yoga. We went 2 times to the beach for yoga which is magical and Eline is such a good teacher. She listens to what you need and corrects the poses so you have the perfect position. Eline and Martin are also always available for a talk or for inside information on the best burgers or pizzas from the island. To sum up, just book your holiday, you won't regret!"

"I spent 10 days to go windsurfing at Eline's and Martin's Hostel. Actually I just wanted to get better in windsurfing but I ended up doing 5 yoga lessons as well. Eline has a very nice way of introducing you to yoga, even if you never ever considered doing it before and every lesson is different. Martin is the perfect windsurf teacher. He always pushes you a little to do things you thought you couldn't do and he puts a lot of effort into explaining how things are done. Had a fantastic holiday!"

    • Review by Sarah from UK

"I think this was the best holiday I have ever been on! I usually enjoy yoga, but here I felt challenged and really encouraged to try new things under safe and supportive guidance. Eline has a fantastic way of making you believe you can do anything and making sure you know exactly what to do. I felt like an Olympic medalist when I achieved something because her praise and feedback was so honest and warm. I loved the buzz of achieving something I thought I would not be able to do. Martin and Eline, I honestly felt like they became my family whilst I was there. We had so much fun, they know the island inside out, and gave the best suggestions for places to go and things to do. I now know how to make daiquiris thanks to them."

"I have done beginner yoga before and I have enjoyed it but I fell in love with doing it with Eline. Whatever you think you cannot do, she makes it possible, whatever part of your body hurts, she fixes it. It wasn't too serious in that we could giggle about the dog doing a pee pose but it was serious in that I came away from every session feeling stronger, both physically and mentally. I will forever be disappointed from now on in any yoga class that is not taught by Eline!"

"Wonderful place to enjoy and relax, Eline and Martin are great hosts full of good energy and willing to make your holidays amazing! • Review by Diana Romero from New York, USA

"Loved our WindSurfYoga holiday! Wish we could have stayed a full month! Eline is super friendly and caring. We had two yoga sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, on the terrace or at the beach, depending on the weather. We were a small group, sometimes just my boyfriend and me, but no matter how many we were, she was always paying close attention to what we were doing and our particular needs to help us with concrete corrections and modifications and with some general advice. We would have loved to try windsurfing with Martin too but we had limited time. Hoping to go back! The place is nicely located near the beach and lots of restaurants, but not in a tourist spot. It is clean and comfortable, all bedrooms with access to the terrace."

"Eline teaches different type of yoga and the one I take regularly is to stretch deeply muscles, mainly used with surfing. Eline is a passionate yoga instructor and I feel at ease to follow her class and like the fact that it also helps me to connect with my body and relax my mind. I always feel “fresh” after her session, like if I did a little holiday ! The windsurfing I did not do, but I know they also do SUP classes and surfing with my academy."

"I was supposed to stay for two or three weeks, I ended up staying for six weeks, and it was a terrible pain to leave! The place is big enough and there is even a rooftop where you can sunbath or do a barbecue. I took some yoga lessons with Eline and she knows everything about it. From beginners or advanced level, you are going to learn something new. I went surfing and windsurfing with Martin and he has great advice and always choose the perfect spot depending on the conditions. There is so much to do in Corralejo, you may ask Martin and Eline, they know everything!"

"I loved the yoga sessions. I guess we were lucky because we had you all to ourselves almost the entire week. Eline is a very good teacher, I liked her style since it's very down to earth. She helped me to deepen my knowledge about some poses and also helped me to discover more about the effect certain poses have on my sugar levels. I've taken some of her tips with me to my yoga classes at home."
