Join Will Wheeler on this winter warming retreat in Somerset. This is a retreat to settle your energy and chill out in time for the festive period. It will allow you to set new intentions and create magic of what you wish to manifest for the new year. A wonderful four days of yoga, relaxation, great food and bodywork; this brings together a collection of yoga class, massages and a posture clinic with London Osteopath, Rebecca Friesner.
The maximum participants in the group is 15.
Accommodation options range from deluxe dorms to a super king en suites, to suit a variety of budgets. There are plenty of communal spaces, such as the library, snug, and reading space to relax during down-time. Facilities available including:
This would be a four day yoga and bodywork retreat by Will Wheeler and Rebecca Friesner. Will will be leading all of the yoga classes which will rejuvenate with Vinyasa flow yoga and deeply restore with slow paced restorative yoga and meditation. Rebecca is an osteopath in London and will be the resident practitioner during this UK retreat. As well as yoga classes there will be a posture clinic to breakdown anatomy understanding during yoga moves. There will be private treatment rooms where you can book one or more treatments with Rebecca either to address injuries or concerns or simply from a therapeutic point of view. Other therapies are available include cupping, acupuncture, shiatsu, aromatherapy.
Will Wheeler was trained in Morocco with Yogahaven and has been teaching Vinyasa, hatha, and “Hot yoga” for the last three years. Will furthered his training in India and Bali. He is qualified in Ayurvedic massage and has a great understanding of the benefits of yoga assists, relaxation techniques, and developing a yoga practice for those with injuries and health concerns.
Rebecca graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. She incorporates structural, cranial and visceral approach to treatments and offer’s practical solutions to long term health. Adjunct treatments include naturopathy, cupping, dry needling and taping. With training in Hatha yoga, Rebecca uses a combination of yoga postures and breath awareness to increase flexibility, stability and postural alignment.
The retreat will take place in the small village of Witham Friary at 42 Acres, set in rural Somerset, England.
42 Acres is a retreat space nestled within a secluded Somerset valley. Seven hundred acres of ancient forest encircle the main house where you will stay, which was originally built as the dairy farm in the 1800s and has since been renovated using natural, sustainable methods. Through centuries, 42 acres has evolved into a wonderful retreat space.
The four days will provide a nourishing and delicious diet made up of natural organic ingredients. Mark Mabon has been exploring world food and health systems for the last 20 years. All food will be prepared in the sunny farm kitchen using where possible local and seasonal produce. Dietary requirements are catered for.
Return transport from Gillingham Station in Dorset to 42 Acres will be provided. For arrival at other stations, please arrange your taxi before arrival to avoid disappointment.
