Join Wildfire Expeditions on this yoga and trekking holiday in Nepal. You will trek through the beautiful rhododendron forest and views of rugged snow-capped Himalayas. Walk along the ridgeline and enjoy the views of the most region’s most distinctive peaks. If you are ready to discover Nepal through trekking and rejuvenate by yoga, then this retreat package is for you.
You will stay in three-star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara and at a teahouse in the mountains during trekking days.
You will be practicing Hatha Yoga. Different sessions will be held each day with different focus. For example, after a long day of walking, you will focus on stretching out tired quads and hamstrings. On a short trekking day, a more intense practice will work on balance or backbends. In the mornings, sunrise yoga will focus on breathing, opening the heart, and firing up the core. Evening practices will generally introduce more relaxation techniques.
You will take a hike that takes you away from the busier Annapurna base camp route while getting the best the region has to offer. Hike up to 3,550 meters with Macchapuchre, Annapurna South, and Himchuli as your constant companions.
While this is not a tough hike and beginners are very welcome, Wildfire Expeditions will be providing a training plan for general fitness to ensure participants will enjoy the trek to the fullest extent. It is highly recommended that you adhere to the training plan.
All levels are encouraged to join for yoga. Wildfire Expeditions welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Go and share this beautiful practice in an environment few get to experience in this way.
This trekking and yoga retreat will take place in Annapurna, Kathmandu, and Pokhara, Nepal.
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price. Meals will include super food as part of the ingredients for better acclimatization to high altitude and better nourishment. For Breakfast, there will be eggs, toast orIndian flat bread made of whole wheat flour (chapatis), honey or peanut butter, with the option of freshly ground Himalayan organic coffee.
The evening meal is usually the highlight of the day, with an extensive variety including starters like hummus, olives, cheese, mains of Thai green curry, pizza with Italian herbs, and even cakes on occasion.
Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). There are direct flights to Kathmandu from Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur. Wildfire Expeditions will arrange the domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The meeting point is in Kathmandu airport at 8:00 p.m. or in central Kathmandu on March 10, 2017.
