Querida first experienced yoga as part of a Mindfulness program in 2005, and got completely hooked by a weekly corporate yoga class in 2006. Somewhere inside, she knew she would always do yoga. Moving to regional Queensland with limited yoga options inspired Querida to undertake teacher training as a means to deepen her own practice and knowledge.
Querida studied with Byron Yoga Centre in 2009 and her biggest lesson was the joy that comes from sharing your passion with others. Her teaching journey had begun. Coming full circle, Querida now brings a mindful approach to her teaching. Exploring the balance of movement and stillness, her yoga classes gently examine how being present and increasing body awareness on the yoga mat helps us to live a more mindful life when we step off the mat as well.
Another love of Querida is on the water. She has taken her yoga teaching to the Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP), bring the two together. Querida is qualified in SUP and SUP yoga instructor featuring in the programs and experiences. She loves the outdoors and adventure.
Querida is also a qualified meditation and energy practitioner.

"What an amazing, and inspiring retreat! So many ‘bucket list’ items well and truly ticked. I love a challenge and adrenalin type activities but the rock climbing and abseiling day really put me to the test. The steep rock climb gave me the hugest sense of achievement not to mention an incredible rush. Think carefully before you sign up (and make sure it’s not beyond your capabilities), but if you are up for the challenge it is a once in a lifetime experience. Very professionally run and well looked after all day."
"I also loved the highly physical walks/climbs in and out of the various gorges. Both challenging and exhilarating with stunning scenery and an amazing spiritual atmosphere reverberating all around you. Plenty of options to choose from too, so everyone could choose what level of activity suited them, and of course the yoga was wonderful. t is so fun and rejuvenating to be able to do Kat’s classes in such picturesque surroundings. The digital detox was an added bonus. To not be able to access any mobile or internet range was at first unsettling and then incredibly liberating. I would not hesitate to recommend Wholesome Life and their wonderful Karijini Retreat as a professionally run and hugely enjoyable escape from day to day life."

"This was the first health retreat I have ever done and it really did exceed my expectation. It was the perfect balance of yoga, treatments, raw food, community interaction, and timeout. The private resort in Ubud was beautiful and I loved the daily yoga, meditation, and raw food workshop. Our retreat hosts and facilitators were amazing. Their passion, organization, attentiveness, and talents combined really enhanced the experience for me. I left the trip with valuable insights and feeling refreshed. I highly recommend these retreats to anyone needing some time out, looking to try something different, or wanting some healthy living inspiration!"
