Originally trained as a dancer, Lucy taught community dance settings in the United Kingdom for 10 years before moving into project management and producing children's theater. She had always been interested in yoga and started practicing it properly around 2010. In 2013, she and her husband went to India for six months to immerse themselves in their practice. She gained a 200-hour teacher training and returned again in 2016 to complete her 500-hour teacher training. They moved to France in March 2016 and set up Wholehearted Retreats as a way to fully integrate their yoga into their lives.

Oliver originally trained as a dancer and took up yoga around 2009. Oliver quickly realized that he wanted to incorporate his practice with his career and started an 18-month, 200-hour teacher training with Yoga Bodhi in Bath, United Kingdom. A six month trip to India in 2013 and 2014 deepened his practice and he gained his 500-hour teaching certificate. He also studied traditional Himalyan Singing Bowl therapies, which he incorporates into his practice and teaching. The yoga he teaches is gentle and restorative, focusing on tuning into the breath and calming the mind.

"Truly a Getaway in a Heart Opening Place"
My retreat was so personalized, I felt at home immediately in Wholehearted's beautiful cabin in the woods. Lucy and Oliver were kind, considerate and very knowledgable. We were able to discuss yoga philosophy in-depth and I learned so much about yoga and many of it's branches that I didn't know anything about. They were amazing teachers, balancing philosophy and asana practice as well as meditation. I was even treated to singing bowl meditations under the stars. It was a magical week, I would love to go back.
