He uses this knowledge to provide new and exciting meals for retreat's participants.
Marybeth Keener is a nutritional biochemist with over 30 years of experience and has studied healing modalities in Europe, Asia, and the USA. She blends her knowledge of modern nutrition with the thousands of years old food traditions of cultures around the world. Marybeth follows and promotes the nutrition programs offered by Oldways- which promotes traditional diets from the Mediterranean Diet, Vegetarian Diet, to the Asian Diet A delicious vegetarian cooking class is always part of the weekend. Alyson Iannicelli has a Masters in Integrative Health and Healing from The Graduate Institute in Bethany, CT and is an E-RYT 200-hour Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Prior to pursuing a career in the health field, Alyson worked with AmeriCorps for a total of 5 years to help serve under-resourced communities. Upon completion of her yoga teacher training, Alyson decided she wanted to continue to dedicate her time to helping people, but in a different way, with an emphasis on healing the mind, body and spirit.
