During the weekend, you will have four 90-minute yoga sessions. Each retreat has its own yoga teacher that can give you a different experience. Besides yoga sessions, you can also enjoy Wellcome Wellness Vlieland's wellness center.

August 26-28, October 28-30, and December 16-28


  • 20:30-22:00 The first lesson will combine dynamic Hatha yoga postures with meditative postures, which bring your attention inward. The first evening will focus on the earth element. You will end the day with breathing exercises and guided relaxing meditation in the evening.


  • 08:30-10:00 An active yoga class focusing on the awakening of the body and movement will start the day. It’s a lesson which can let go of stress and accelerate the energy flow in your body. Today’s emphasis is on the breath and conscious experience sensations and the sensory perception. This lesson will focus on the element of water. You can dive after class in the sea.
  • 16:30-18:00 There will be a quiet but Dynamic yoga class focused on flow and breathing. The dynamic exercises aim at detecting energy in your body and breathing exercises. The emphasis is on the element of air. The air element connects you with your heart.


  • 08:30-10:00 The last session is a yoga class where the focus is on feeling and the fire in yourselves. Yoga postures combined with breathing exercises will recharge and revitalize your energy. This lesson combines peace, openness and receptivity that arise when you pay attention to your inner fire, passion, and vitality. You can experience the joy that is always there. In the end, you will go home with new energy and inspiration.

September 23-25


  • 20:30-22:00 There will be a fifth chakra lesson in the evening. The element that will become the focus is Akasa, the silent empty space and the source of sound and life. The sense organs of this chakra are the ears and the vocal cords. You will end the day with a relaxation and meditation to relax at the weekend at the first night.


  • 08:30-10:00 In the morning, you’ll begin with a sun salutation which makes the element of fire in your wake. The Hatha yoga class in the morning is aimed to be awake and to let the energy flow.
  • 16:30-18:00: The lesson will focus on breathing. You will breathe into the deepest point: Hui Yin, Chi, and Hara point. There will be also a Hatha yoga class with breathing deepening in a relaxed manner. The air element will be your focus on this day. The air element is what connects you.


  • 08:30-10:00 On Sunday, you will start with a Hatha yoga class from second chakra with water element. This element is characterized by motion such as water that moves in circles. There will also be asana sessions that rely on the flexibility, especially in the lower back, pelvis, groin, and hips. You’ll conclude the day with a final relaxation with visualization of water.

October 14-16


  • 20:30-22:00 The first lesson theme will be breathing. This lesson will be a relaxing lesson with attention to yourself and to the place where you just arrived.


  • 08:30-10:00 This morning class will focus on your foundation, safety, yourself and exercises that bring you your strength.
  • 16:30-18:00 The theme for this lesson will be openness. It’s a lesson to completely open the body. Many dynamic exercises will be done with the final relaxation visualization.


  • 08:30-10:00 Today’ theme will be trust. You will be encouraged to have confidence in your body and your wisdom.

  • 20:30-22:00: A quiet Hatha yoga with breathing exercises, visualization, and relaxation will be your exercise on this day.


  • 08:30-10:00 Dynamic yoga flow with final relaxation

  • Maaike Dijkstra

    Maaike Dijkstra gives weekly yoga classes in Body & Mind Center. Besides intuitive yoga, she also teaches Yin yoga, Chakra yoga and Kinder yoga. It is her passion to bring people into contact with the deeper wisdom within themselves, to live more from the heart and intuition. From awareness and body consciousness, it naturally arises more balance between thinking, feeling and doing. There is a deep trust, joy, a sense of effortlessness.

  • Ria Hurkmans

    Ria started yoga to rest her body and head. Yoga felt so good to her that she wanted to immerse herself in the exercises. Because of this, she came to Saswitha yoga and philosophy training. She teaches Hatha yoga class in Saswitha style. Her way of teaching is sober and clear with a touch of humor. She will divide the four classes into different elements. She looks forward to practicing yoga together with you on this beautiful island of Vlieland.

  • Ellen Wine Mountains

    Ellen Wine Mountains trained at the Saswitha training Bilthoven. For a few years, she does trainings with great pleasure. She thinks that it's very nice to have the knowledge and enjoyment of yoga that she learned and taught to her students.

  • Nelleke van der Griend

    Nelleke is the owner of Yoga Flex in IJmuiden. Nelleke specializes in Hatha yoga, Power yoga, Pilates and relaxation and exercise.

  • Anna Molleman

    Anna Molleman gives regular yoga classes in Body & Mind Center. Besides Hatha yoga, she teaches Chakra yoga, Pregnancy yoga, Kinderyoga. It is her passion to bring people into contact with the deeper wisdom within themselves and to live more from the heart and intuition.

The retreat will take place at Strandhotel Seeduyn. Throughout Strandhotel Seeduyn, you can enjoy fantastic views over the North Sea. The lovely village Oost-Vlieland is less than a kilometer away and the bus to and from the ferry stops outside the hotel. Many of the island’s walking and cycle paths have their starting point from the entrance of Strandhotel Seeduyn. Strandhotel Seeduyn has a truly unique location. It is so free and close to the sea. There is no busy boulevard, just the scent of the sea and the sound of the waves.
