The resort is set in a quiet area, surrounded by nature where you can wake up by the sounds of birds, within walking distance to the mountains. A few minutes drive brings you to the village of Altea la Vella. The resort has a personal touch and intimate feel but yet spacious and with all possibilities to spend personal time.

You will stay in one of the spacious studio's on the premises, with private shower, toilet, and terrace with garden view. There are coffee and tea facilities in the room.

Depending on your travel schedule, it is possible to have lunch at the resort or take a lunch-to-go. Of course, you are free to spend the rest of the day at the resort.

During your free time, there is the possibility to book extra services, go to the beach, or visit the beautiful Altea.

A cultural visit to one of the beautiful nearby locations with a traditional Spanish lunch and a semi-silent hike with a picnic where you get to explore the mountain scenery of this part of Spain. Depending on the preferences of the participants, you can finish the excursions at the beach side.

Instructors Dionne Hughes and Gea Wortelboer are professionally trained and certified teachers. They both practice a mindful yoga with awareness for the body and mind during all exercises. This makes the yoga well suited for beginners as well as experienced yogis.

Dionne Hughes

Having always been interested in fitness and how the body works, Dionne qualified as a fitness instructor in 1997. At about the same time, Dionne attended her first yoga class. Over the years, Dionne experimented with lots of different fitness crazes but was regularly drawn back to yoga.

In 2012, she started her own regular yoga practice and realized the benefits a regular practice gives. Not only in the huge benefits to the body, keeping it supple, strong and illness free, but also to the mind keeping it clear, calm, and focused.

With her love for interacting with people and wanting to bring more awareness to people about their bodies, Dionne undertook a yoga teacher training course. She studied at Aananda Yoga India Shala in Mysore with Yogacharya Bharath Shetty, and completed the IYT 250-hour teacher training program accredited by Yoga Alliance. Since then, Dionne has had the opportunity to teach classes in corporate and fitness center environments as well as private tuition.

Dionne believes that yoga is for everyone - no matter what age, shape or size, and thrives on helping people find their own yoga path. Dionne practices different forms of yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin but teaches mostly Hatha yoga with a focus on alignment and breath.

Dionne has a very instructive style of teaching and likes to educate her students not only on how to enter and exit postures safely but also the effects and changes on the body and breath that a movement creates. Dionne is also a qualified practitioner in Reflexology, Swedish body massage and Hopi ear candling (thermo-auricular therapy).

Gea Wortelboer

As an interpersonal communication skills trainer and coach, Gea made long stressful days. During these busy times, she experienced that yoga kept her balanced, flexible, strong and peaceful. This is how her idea of becoming a yoga teacher started to develop.

Over the years, Gea took classes in different yoga styles, such as Ashtanga yoga, Dru yoga, and Hatha yoga, and found a good mix of yoga forms which works well for a supple, flexible, strong, and healthy body as well as for keeping the mind clear and focused and a relaxed and balanced soul.

As a certified yoga teacher registered at RYS Yoga Alliance, Gea is passionate to help people how to find a place of balance and harmony, manage their stress levels, and make a real difference to the quality of their lives. The focus is on optimizing health and well-being by blending mindfulness, Hatha yoga, Yin yoga, and Restorative yoga.

In her classes, you will experience the awareness of good breathing and the benefits of being mindful during the asanas. She has an instructive way of teaching,

which makes it comfortable and also challenging for everybody to attend her yoga classes.

Her slogan is "You can practice yoga your whole life, anytime at any age". With an eye for the alignment, breathing, and anatomy, she will lead you through the postures so you will experience the benefits.

Gea is also a solution focused brief therapy coach and Reiki master, providing Reiki treatments, and teaching Reiki 1, 2 and 3 including the masters.

Altea la Vella, a picturesque Spanish village, offers you all basic facilities and a beautiful setting off point to enjoy the Spanish scenery, hiking and cycling routes, and two famous beaches in Calpe and Benidrom in less than 20 minutes driving.

Altea lies just 5 minutes away and is one of the most elegant places on the Costa Blanca with its boulevard and 'old town' that boasts many nice restaurants and fabulous views and authentic small streets that makes this town just a bit special!
