Swami Nityananda Giri

Swami Nityanandan was born in 1961 in a far-flung village in the state Odisha, India. In 1983 he completed his M.Sc. in zoology and gained a Ph.D. in 1990. In 1994, he moved towards learning Kriya yoga and to the custom of Sriyukteswarji. He left all his family obligations in 2002 and from then on he progressed on the path of being a monk.

He has been a passionate teacher and a compassionate person since childhood. Hence, he keeps himself engaged in imparting the insights of Kriya yoga. He has also gained insights of Vedic astrology and cosmic astrology. He lived the life of a roving monk since 2008 and the Himalayan monasteries were his much-adored dwellings. Sometimes, he guides yoga devotees to Kriya yoga meditation techniques in India as well as abroad. Since September 2005 he distributed the knowledge gained from the great yoga masters of the linage as a duty.

Swami Nityanandan was a great yoga teacher and your first impression might be that he teaches in an incredibly challenging style. He has the ability to demonstrate some of the most complex postures and, even more amazingly, he gets yoga devotees to experience them in an easy and simple way. He has gained all these skills only by his lifetime experience, which has augmented his passion and strength to lead the life of a yoga guru.

Acharya Tuna Khatua

Tuna Khatua Maharaj founded Vyasa Yoga Peeth. Over the last 6 years, he has been an excellent teacher of Sivananda yoga, the six systems of Indian philosophy, Himalayan yoga and yoga anatomy. For 3 years he studied the Sivananda yoga system and later gained the insights of the yoga Vedanta course from the Divine Life Society at the Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh, India.

From Sanskrit University, Uttrakhand, India, he attained his post-graduation degree in yoga science. He also practiced and gathered all the yoga and philosophy insights under the guidance of great Himalayan sages. For 4 year he dedicated his life in the Himalayan traditions at Swami Rama Sadhak Grama, Rishikesh, India. He teaches his practices with precision and his extensive skills and knowledge about yoga can make the asana very easy to execute. He has been serving humanity for a long time and, according to him, this is the only way to reach the sole master of the world, God.

Acharya ji continues to live his passion for yoga every day. He has gained a lot of reputation in yoga teaching and this is because of his sense of humor balanced with a quest for authenticity, to learn, practice, as well as teach yoga techniques. He is an inspirational yoga teacher which brings the mystical essence of yoga alive. The classes conducted by him are soulful and joyous.

Swami Omkarananda Ji

Swami ji's childhood was spent under the holy saint of India, Ma Anandamayi. He was a very bright engineering student and had great affection towards Gurudev Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj of Sivananda Ashram Rishikesh. His leaning in spirituality grew after getting inspired by Swami Chidanandaji. After completing his studies, he worked at HAL and later joined Bhava Atomic Research Center. He left his job because he was moved by a spiritual experience. He then he came back to Sivananda Ashram and joined Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy. After the course, he explored the Himalayas as a sage.

He also studied Vedanta and Sanskrit at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam for about 4 years. Later he went to Hong Kong University to do a Ph.D. in metaphysics. He kept on visiting various parts of the world, thereby preaching science and spirituality. His life had the deep impact of a Tibetan Buddhist monk and hence he spent a good span in Tibetan monasteries to learn meditation. Swami Omkarananda has a manifold experience in his holistic living, with meditation, yoga, Vedanta, healing and parapsychology.

Swami Omkaranada's classes are induced with an environment where students can explore divine flow and connect to their own life. His teachings lead students to finding truth and beauty in all aspects of life. His aim is to inspire and to be inspired by the bliss of the nature and God. He considers his teaching profession as a spiritual blessing which is informative, balanced and enlightening.

Brahmachari Sidhanta Ji

Bramachari Siddhanta has been practicing this spiritual yogic art for more than a decade. He was attracted to the yogic Kriyas long ago, in his early college days. He left his home at the tender age of 16. Since then, he guided and self-motivated himself in the field of yoga. Therefore, he joined Anandamurti Gurumaa at the early age of 22. He loved being there and he got all the insights, practiced yoga and learnt the magical yogic art at Annandamurti Gurumaa's ashram for a long period of 8 years.

He consolidated all the yogic insights from all these years. He took this knowledge to another height of professionalism. Today, as a yoga teacher he is very renowned not just in Rishikesh, but in many other parts of the world too. Later, he concentrated his practice and mastered in Hatha yoga and Japa yoga. As an acknowledged Hatha and Japa yoga teacher, he teaches those branches of yoga dedicatedly and helps students learn many other ways of leading a significant and more meaningful life.

"Training at Vyassa yoga Peeth was an incredible journey for me. It opened up my heart and mind to begin to understand the true meaning of yoga. There is so much more to this spiritual pathway then I could have ever imagined. Every single teacher there was so supportive and inspiring, helping us every single step of the way. We got to experience the local culture, meditate by the Ganges and be immersed into the world of yoga. I would recommend this course to anyone who is thinking about beginning or continuing their own journey. "A great 7 days crafted program for 2 yoga and meditation beginners. We are yoga and meditation beginners and we wanted a 7 days program to improve our practices."

"We were eally happy with the full program crafted for us : we had a teacher for pranayama/breathing, a teacher for hatha yoga, a teacher for philosophy and a teacher for meditation. "

"We enjoyed the teachings of everyone. Every teacher was really dedicated to us and we learnt everything that was possible in a week, so that we could practice and improve back home. The room were fine, cleaned very often and we had AC at night! "Always smiling" Tuna, the manager of the school, was always here to make sure our teachings went well and even welcomed us at his home to enjoy a great meal with the other students and the teachers!"

"We also had the surprise to visit Vasistha cave and to assist a fire ceremony with a swami and other students. We fully enjoyed each day spent and we would be glad to be back to enjoy the teachings and of course Tuna's smile and humor!"

It is located amid beautiful place on the hills and beside a river. The teachers were really very experienced and very good. They were perfect in teaching and very caring too. They paid attention to every student to make sure the yoga practices were done correctly. I liked their accommodation too. The food was awesome. Herbal tea was really great. The co-learners were helpful too, though no one from my region enrolled in the particular session. However, I met learners from Colorado, Caribbean, Poland and more. Each class has been very informative and I feel like I have gained a lot of important and necessary information to start practicing as a beginners yoga teacher. The accommodation was excellent; a private room with a private bathroom is exactly what I needed here in India. All the staff are very friendly and helpful at the hotel and they make you feel welcomed. All meals were provided and were very good. Each day was more or less the same food but if you want to eat out its very easy to find a restaurant close by. "The 200-hour yoga teacher training had been a really good experience. I learnt a lot of different things. It is an interesting course, because they dont teach just practice, they teach you much more. I didnt know anything about the philosophy of yoga and now I think is the most important. The Teachers are great, each of them. They had been our family in those days. I have to do a special mention about Tuna ji - he is now more than a teacher, he is a good friend. He has shown us about Indian culture. We had a really fun time. I am very happy with everything. The food is very good but they did not change the menu frequently ."
