Enjoy multiple daily sessions in yoga, breathwork, meditation, self-massage methods, with the chance of sightseeing in Ålesund, Norway. Food and joy are intimately connected, food program designs to emphasize seasonal, local ingredients obtained from local small growers.
Guest will be accommodated in a beautiful guest house, single room with comfortable large bed, and shared brand-new bathroom and toilet rooms on different floors.
Start your day with Pranayama (breathwork) and Vinyasa (flow yoga) in the morning and prepare to go short hiking or sightseeing after breakfast. You will have various activities each day and it will depend on the weather, physical conditions, and personal preferences. Sightseeing at the Norwegian scenic area, immersed in surrounding mountains with a stunning view over the valley.
Vivian will share two traditional Chinese dumplings recipes that will make the best homemade dumplings and are surprisingly easy, and just a little time-consuming. You will learn PNF stretching that is designed to relax muscles and increase tone or activity.
Yin yoga will be practiced in the evening, to soften the muscle and help regulate the flow of energy in the body, as a good recovery in the middle of the itinerary. Restorative yoga involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest after a long day of travel.
This retreat will be led by Vivian. First Astanga training in 2003, back to Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Hatha around 2013 after 10-year fitness supervisor career (BB, BP, BA, BJ, BC, Zumba). Specialist Certificates in rehabilitation, physiotherapy, dietitian, nutrition. Participated Vipassana 10-day silence course in Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia. Arctic guide, translator, aquatic trainer since studied in Norway, MSc of Sport Management after Physical Education in Competitive Aerobics Dance. Vivian would love to share experiences with you in spectacular Norwegian landscapes.
Ålesund is known for the art nouveau architectural style, as documented at the Jugendstilsenteret museum. There are panoramic views of Ålesund’s architecture, the surrounding archipelago, and fjords from the old town viewpoint Aksla, the city is now the home base for Norway's largest cod-fishing fleet.
Menu designs to emphasize seasonal, local ingredients obtained from local small growers. You will be served local regular healthy meals: Norwegian salmon, codfish, fish cake, etc. Coffee, herbal tea, snacks, energy bars, and all fruits are available throughout the day.
