"The yoga teacher training was a great experience. Probably one of the best decisions I have taken in my life. Before the training, I was not sure if I am going to teach. I just wanted to experience this transformation for myself. After three weeks, I was sure that I want to share my knowledge with others. I started teaching only two days after graduation at a yoga retreat close to Sydney. What I liked about the training was the personal touch. The training is limited to 12 students and Russell, the owner of Vita Yoga, really teaches from his heart. It was like a full immersion into yoga; rising up with the sun, doing yoga before breakfast, enjoying healthy vegetarian food and share the house with my yogi fellows, only 200m from the beach. Byron Bay is the perfect place to do a yoga teacher training, because the landscape is stunning. The beaches, the hinterland, the hippie style, the many offers for holistic healing... it all adds to the yogi lifestyle. I have chosen this yoga teacher training, because I did not want to do it part-time. There were not that many offers available in April/May. In comparison to trainings in Bali or Thailand's islands it is also still affordable. The schedule of the teacher training was really appealing to me, because it was a good mix of asanas, chanting, meditation, astrology, anatomy and ayurveda. The teachers were great and everyone was really supportive. The other training participants were simply amazing and it is"

"nice to share such a journey together as a 'yogi family'. More over the teacher training certificate is fully recognized internationally, which allows me to teach back in Germany. Overall, a great, life-changing experience. Namaste."

"What an absolutely incredible experience; mind, body and spirit. Russ puts so much care, love, and work into his training. The result is a truly authentic Yogi experience from start to end. Just when you think it can't get any more fulfilling, Russ goes ahead and surprises you again. Byron Bay is the most spiritually fulfilling and beautiful place to have experienced the training. The home and Heart space studio that Russ has created is beautiful, very close to the ocean and alive with caring, comfortable and supportive energy."

"Our instructors, Russ, Sadhu, Michael and Asher are all incredibly gifted & passionate about sharing their vast knowledge. It is all such interesting, mind opening soul food that I wish we had another 3 weeks together. Gina, Iona, Luke, Chris, Kelly, Jules & Tabata; thank you for offering your beautiful talents in such a generous and giving way. To the sisters that I gained; shine on you beautiful, inspiring women. I am so blessed to have shared those moments with you; the emotional, the joyous, the challenging, the fun, the fear, the triumph, the magical, the life changing. "

"Vita Yoga is a family and they invite you into it and nurture you from day 1. I will cherish our yogi tribe always. To the Yogi considering joining the Vita Yoga family; with an open heart and an open mind you can discover that you are far more incredible and strong than you ever imagined. There were one (or two) tears of joy on the last night... and to think that this is only the beginning... :) Namaste."

"One of the best things I have done in my whole life. Seriously life changing. I am so grateful to have experienced the beginning of my yoga journey with a teacher that so obviously shares my passion for every part of yoga, not just asana that so obviously comes from a place of heart. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for such an amazing journey. It was so beautiful to share with such a great teacher and training group. Namaste."

"It was amazing. I have never been so close to so many people in such a short time. Many seeds were planted and now have a firm foundation to continue self studies. I’m amazed how much my body and mind has changed in just one month. Russell has a big heart and everybody can feel the huge effort he has put in. I feel very loved, cared for and safe throughout the teachings. The underlining message of safety is such a huge thing in yoga and we should never push past our edge. Thank you for everything."

"Russell's intention to create a rich, traditional and intergrated yoga institute in service to humanity has been realized. I could feel the energy of this training calling me before I ever met Russell. I was out of practice with yoga before the training yet I was given a fantastic mix of strength, discipline and work mixed with a supportive group environment, in depth Vedic/Yogic philosophy and understanding and the complete feeling of support with Russell as our teacher. Russell reads the class and situation intuitively and makes good decisions to support the training experience of the students. At all times I felt held by the training and my expectations were exceeded. I had been to India twice previously to study yoga and Indian spirituality, yet this course brought it all together perfectly. Suitable for both new enthusiasts and experienced practitioners. "

"Overall it has been the best thing I have done so far for personal development. The discipline was trialing at times and obviously a lot of emotions were brought up to the surface. But this training was an amazing learning and practice experience, learning to let go, release and surrender. The intensive time spent together taught me so much about relationships, friendships, respect, gratitude and compassion!! We came together as strangers but we linked up like family and were always picking each other up when feeling down. The asana practice was my favourite. I loved getting the blood pumping in the morning and waking up!"

"I recommend Vita Yoga without reservation to yogis of all levels. I stumbled upon it by chance during a work trip to Byron and it made my week. Situated in the trees and near the beach, the tent is a sanctuary with the sounds of birds and waves rolling in. Russell, the owner, is truly a great teacher and has created such a sacred space from his heart - if you're in Byron this yoga experience is not to be missed."

"Thank you, Russell and Vita Yoga for three immensely nourishing, beautiful and revitalising weeks. I came to Byron Beach Resort early March 2015 as teacher for a group of Danes, and meeting Russell I immediately decided to start daily yoga classes. Spending much time during the day teaching 'Self-development and Communication' to the Danish students, I found Vita Yoga to be my daily anchor and recharger. My body and spirit so much welcomed the good energy, gentle teachings and wise words from Russell and his skillful teachers. I highly and warmly recommend any guests to Byron Beach Resort to join in one the different daily classes."
