"I am so glad I made that initial phone call to Russell. Even though I still have a lot of work to do, the course has chipped away at more of my unnecessary mindsets and for that I will be forever grateful."

    • Review by Lahna from Sydney, Australia

"One of the best things I have done in my whole life. Seriously life changing. I am so grateful to have experienced the beginning of my yoga journey with a teacher that so obviously shares my passion for every part of yoga, not just asana that so obviously comes from a place of heart. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for such an amazing journey. It was so beautiful to share with such a great teacher and training group. Namaste."

"It was amazing. I have never been so close to so many people in such a short time. Many seeds were planted and now have a firm foundation to continue self studies. I’m amazed how much my body and mind has changed in just one month. Russell has a big heart and everybody can feel the huge effort he has put in. I feel very loved, cared for and safe throughout the teachings. The underlining message of safety is such a huge thing in yoga and we should never push past our edge. Thank you for everything."

    • Review by Guy from Byron Bay, Australia

"Russell's intention to create a rich, traditional and intergrated yoga institute in service to humanity has been realized. I could feel the energy of this training calling me before I ever met Russell. I was out of practice with yoga before the training yet I was given a fantastic mix of strength, discipline and work mixed with a supportive group environment, in depth Vedic/Yogic philosophy and understanding and the complete feeling of support with Russell as our teacher. Russell reads the class and situation intuitively and makes good decisions to support the training experience of the students. At all times I felt held by the training and my expectations were exceeded. I had been to India twice previously to study yoga and Indian spirituality, yet this course brought it all together perfectly. Suitable for both new enthusiasts and experienced practitioners. "

    • Review by Isabella from Byron Bay, Australia

"Overall it has been the best thing I have done so far for personal development. The discipline was trialing at times and obviously a lot of emotions were brought up to the surface. But this training was an amazing learning and practice experience, learning to let go, release and surrender. The intensive time spent together taught me so much about relationships, friendships, respect, gratitude and compassion!! We came together as strangers but we linked up like family and were always picking each other up when feeling down. The asana practice was my favourite. I loved getting the blood pumping in the morning and waking up!"

"I recommend Vita Yoga without reservation to yogis of all levels. I stumbled upon it by chance during a work trip to Byron and it made my week. Situated in the trees and near the beach, the tent is a sanctuary with the sounds of birds and waves rolling in. Russell, the owner, is truly a great teacher and has created such a sacred space from his heart - if you're in Byron this yoga experience is not to be missed."

    • Review by Claus Marquart Jørgensen from Denmark

"Thank you, Russell and Vita Yoga for three immensely nourishing, beautiful and revitalising weeks. I came to Byron Beach Resort early March 2015 as teacher for a group of Danes, and meeting Russell I immediately decided to start daily yoga classes. Spending much time during the day teaching 'Self-development and Communication' to the Danish students, I found Vita Yoga to be my daily anchor and recharger. My body and spirit so much welcomed the good energy, gentle teachings and wise words from Russell and his skillful teachers. I highly and warmly recommend any guests to Byron Beach Resort to join in one the different daily classes."
