During this yoga retreat, you will reside for 7 nights at Tailwind Jungle Lodge. This lodge has a collection of six different creatively designed units of bungalows, palapas, and casitas. All of those units are perched on the hillside to minimize environmental impact. Each unit will offer you a unique jungle experience.
Erin is a believer of living in the moment and being full of gratitude. She is a free spirited barefoot enthusiast, surfer, yogini, and world adventurer. She is a senior yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga for over 11 years. She spreads her love of yoga to yogi’s and yogini’s in London as well as on adventurous retreats worldwide. In her teachings, you can expect a pinch of pranayama, a dash of philosophy, and slug of meditation all mixed together with some inspiring asana.
This yoga retreat will be located at Tailwind Jungle Lodge, on the coast north of San Pancho (San Francisco), Nayarit, Mexico. The lodge is located approximately 3 miles north of San Pancho on a lovely jungle road that parallels the coastline. It is nestled amidst the palms and offers stunning and breathtaking views of jungle and ocean.
Renting a car for your stay is a great option. Having a vehicle will give you lots of freedom to explore the spectacular coastline. There are many rental car agencies online. Vinyasa Yoga with Erin’s favorite local company is www.geckorentcar.com. They recommend you to reserve a vehicle in advance. Please note that 4x4 vehicles are only necessary for the rainy season (June - October).
On this retreat, you will be served with daily locally-sourced vegetarian and vegan brunch and dinner.
Vinyasa Yoga with Erin recommends you to book your flight to Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), which is in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. The charming town of San Pancho (official name San Francisco), is about a 1-hour drive north of the airport on highway 200.
Taxi service to/from the airport can be easily arranged. For taxi info, you can contact Pedro at the Diva Tours taxi service (www.divatours.net) and tell them that you're headed to Tailwind Jungle Lodge. They will deliver you straight to Tailwind Jungle Lodge’s doorstep.
However, if you are feeling adventurous, you can take the public bus from the airport north on highway 200 to the town of San Pancho. After arriving in San Pancho, you will need to take a taxi or hike the jungle road to get to the venue.
