Pattabhi Jois. What makes 300 hours yoga TTC different from 200 Hours Yoga TTC?
The word pranayama is a compound of two words 'prana' meaning 'life force' or 'vital energy' and Yama meaning "to regulate" or "to control" Pranayama is the yogic science of balancing and regulating vital energy through the skilful manipulation of breath.
Sound vibrations that permeate every cell of your being and allow your mind to dissolve and repose. Mantras are repetitive sounds used to penetrate the depths of the unconscious mind and adjust the vibration of all aspects of your being. Mantras are vibrated through chanting aloud, mental practice, or by listening to them. The experience of how sound vibrations effect your being is Naad yoga.
The Sanskrit word ‘mudra’ is translated as ‘gesture’ or ‘attitude’. Mudra can be described as psychic, emotional, devotional and aesthetic gestures or attitudes. Yogis have experienced mudras as an attitude of energy flow, intended to link individual pranic force with the universal or cosmic force.
Traditionally, bandhas were classified as part of mudras, and were handed down by words of mouth from guru to disciple. The hatha yoga pradipika deals with bandhas and mudras together and the ancient tantric texts also make no distinction between the two.
Yoga is a journey toward self-awareness. On this journey, relaxation skills help us gather the disparate energy of the body and the mind and focus them internally. Then mental distraction intrudes with less intensity and a sense of inner flexibility and calmness develops. Relaxation also prepares the personality for a still more interior practice. Through meditation, we can safely enter the quiet and inward place of the mind & heart.
Beneath the ups and downs of everyday life, there is a profound state of balance. By resting the brief period in that state we can create a resilient and stable mind even in the face of stress. That’s way each of us, on a deep level, craves relaxation- it revives our confidence and reawakens a sense of self-control. Yoga philosophy is one of the six major orthodox schools of Hinduism. Ancient, medieval and most modern literature often refers to the Yoga school of Hinduism simply as Yoga. It is closely related to the Samkhya school of Hinduism. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is a key text of the Yoga school of Hinduism.
Hatha Yoga, as described in the early yoga Upanishads was made up of the shatkarma and is a very precise and systematic science. Shat means ‘six’ and karma means ‘action’ the shatkarma consist of six groups of purification practices. The aim of hatha yoga and therefore of the shatkarma is to create harmony between the two major pranic flows, ida and pingala thereby attaining physical and mental purification and balance.

All classes are mandatory only in case of an emergency or illness one can take leave with respected teacher permission. Uninformed leaves won’t be accepted and this will leave a bad impression on student monthly performance.
A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. The practice and especially the teaching of yoga demand a high degree of self-discipline and purity. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures and asana classes. Meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and nudity are prohibited during the course as they are counterproductive to the yoga practice. Participants who do not comply with the school rules may be dismissed from the course.
Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school. If you are having a fast any day, you have to inform the kitchen manager for avoiding food waste. Always make discipline, respect teachers and follow all rules. Always be in the time, you are late means will not be permitted to join the class. Clear your books of account before departure from Vinyasa Yoga Ashram. Before departure return your books, maps or any goods which you borrowed. Vinyasa Yoga Ashram provides accommodation for a student who joins the yoga course. So any friends or relatives will not be included in accommodation however they can stay in school by renting another room. Student has to be present in all scheduled program of Vinyasa Yoga Ashram.
An advance of course fees will not be refundable, only in the case of emergency students can join us on other schedules. If student cancels the course after joining it, we accept cancellation but course fees will not be refunded in cancellation. There is no charge of course cancellation.

Vinyasa Yoga Ashram is very particular about food and serves only hygienically prepared nutritious and healthy food. The food is served thrice a day with a changed menu. Gluten-free food can be arranged for other food types if you inform the chef about it well in advance.
Vinyasa Yoga Ashram serves 3 vegetarian meals per day (and a cup of chai during the tea breaks) for the duration of the course. The meals are unlimited. Generally, you’ll get a plate of food with all of the various vegetarian Indian dishes appropriate for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (according to a yogic diet.) Vinyasa Yoga Ashram always makes a surplus of food for our students, which is usually placed on the dinner tables for their students to grab from if they want more of a particular dish. You can also always feel free to talk to the kitchen staff if you’d like your meals prepared a certain way or if you’d like extra food.
