Evening classes will range from Hatha and Vinyasa to Restorative and Yin yoga. Yin yoga will focus more on the inner ligaments, holding poses for longer duration to draw deeper into the body and mind.

Classes technique

The classes will have a great emphasis on the connection with the breath and body, practicing asana with a pranayama technique known as Ujjayi breathing. All core asanas will be modeled and explained from the base up, covering proper alignment, rotations, and action in each posture. The goal will not be simply to do yoga, but to learn, observe, and experience ones body, from the material to the esoteric. You have become accustomed to receive your healing from an external source, but yoga must be experienced daily from the inside out. Villa Konstantin Retreats will offer a diversity of classes and styles. These will appeal to everyone whether you are a seasoned yogi or a newcomer.

This retreat will take place in Myknos, Greece. It is perfectly located only 700 metres from the town, perched high up on the North hillside with spectacular sunset sea views but close enough to walk to the famous nightlife although the months of May, June, and September are much more relaxing for those of you who are looking for a less frantic pace.

Mykonos sightseeing and attractions

During your stay at the Villa Konstantin, near Mykonos town, guests have the opportunity to visit the islands sites and get acquainted with its rich history. Mykonos town is the ideal spot for a nonchalant stroll, admiring the whitewashed houses and narrow alleyways, and visiting the Church of Panagia Paraportiani, the famous windmills, and the wonderful museums. Alefkandra, the Little Venice of Mykonos, is a picturesque port, packed with quaint tavernas, cafes, and bars. Other sites worth visiting are the Monastery of Panagia Tourlianis in Ano Mera, the three Hellenistic towers, the well of Giannaros in Platis Gialos, and the Prehistoric ruins in the area of Panormos Bay.

Mykonos beaches

Mykonos is also very famous for its beaches, most of which have soft sand and clear waters, as well as beach bars and cafes. On the Mykonos beaches of paradise, Super Paradise, Psarou, Platis Gialos, Agios Stefanos, Panormos, and Ornos, you will find sunbathed people relaxing and socialising. These are the trendy beaches, where most of the young visitors go. There are also more secluded Mykonos beaches, where you can find a quiet spot to enjoy your swim, such as Elia, Ftelia, Paraga, and Agrari.

Island of Delos

A one-day trip to the island of Delos can be booked during the retreat. The neighbouring island of Delos is the spiritual jewel of the Cyclades islands and the birthplace to the Greek God Appollo. Boats trips to Delos run daily in the summer months. The tour boat departs early in the morning and the visit lasts about four hours. You should be back in Mykonos in the early afternoon, just in time for a refreshing swim and lunch.

Lovely yoga retreat in beautiful location

PROS Pros: My stay at Villa Konstantin was wonderful - very relaxing, with amazing yoga classes with Luana. The retreat was arranged so that you could add more yoga classes if interested, or reserve time to explore the island. Classes were small, and tailored to the interests and experience-level of the participants. The location was very good, and the rooms are beautiful. The owner, Sharon, made sure all of the guests felt at home. I would highly recommend this retreat.

Organizer response: We are so glad you joined us here and grateful for the lovely reveiew. Come back to us soon. Best wishes from everyone here.xx

"My stay at Villa Konstantin was amazing and unforgettable in every sense. I would have wished to have more time there as I did not want to leave the paradise. Villa Konstantin is an absolute jewel and I was so happy to have chosen this place for my yoga retreat. Sharon and her team did everything to let me feel home and being part of the "Konstantin" family. The yoga studio is very nice and inspiring, all is done with most attention to detail. I had the (not to) chance to meet 3 different yoga teachers during my retreat what I felt was very useful. As the classes were rather small all wishes and needs could be considered and I brought a lot of new experience and yoga aspects back home that I try to integrate in my everyday life now. I will definitively come back to Villa Konstantin." website, edited

"My stay at Villa Konstantin was my favourite part of our vacation. The owner of the hotel Sharon was so welcoming and made us feel like home. We stayed in a lovely family room and just loved it. The room was always clean , we had a lovely breakfast and spent a lot of time at the pool. If you get a chance to visit Mykonos you must go and stay at Villa Konstantin."

"I was fortunate to take another short trip to Europe and was able to stop in Mykonos on my way. It was a different time of year, much cooler than my last trip in May, 2016, but still just as inspiring and beautiful. I was very happy to stay, once again at Villa Konstantin. The property is comfortable and lovely and the views, spectacular. Add to that, daily yoga classes at the villa's beautiful yoga studio. Sharon, the villa’s proprietress, and her staff are warm and accommodating and certainly make a guest feel like a welcomed family member. It has become one of my favorite places and feels like my home away from home. I look forward to returning with friends for my third visit to Villa Konstantin, this fall."

"I stayed here on a Yoga trip abroad, where I was teaching yoga retreats. I was the resident yoga instructor for a little over a week. On my last evening, I stayed in one of the rooms and I have to say it was the most beautiful place I stayed in all of Europe. The facilities and rooms were clean, quaint and had the best view in all of Mykonos! Don't even get me started on the pool area, absolutely gorgeous!"

"It was such a short walk to town, but far enough away where you had constant peace and quiet if you wanted it. The added yoga was a plus! The breakfast was perfect and the best part was the incredible family that lived on premises. I have never learned more about love and good energy in such a short period of time. These people really care, and that means a lot when you are traveling. Owning a hospitality business myself, I understand about customer service and this family has the best! It was one of the best experiences of my life. "

"Thank you Sharon! You and your family are the absolute best. See you again!!"

"We stayed at Villa Konstantin for the second time and we would highly recommend these apartments. Sharon who is the owner is the most friendly and helpful person you could wish to me nothing is too much trouble. We were upgraded when we were their to her beautiful and very tastefully decorated apartment. My partner's son and girlfriend were also upgraded to one of these apartment and we would certainly recommend them. The view from this hotel is fantastic over looking the harbour and the sunsets are beautiful. It has a lovely swimming pool and lots of little places to sit outside so you can admire the view. A short distance by taxi into the town or there is a path that goes down into Myknos. Can't wait to go again."

"My Wife and I stayed here three nights and left this morning. Very quiet location with a stunning view. We had a one bedroom with a hot tub inside and small balcony overlooking the sea. Sharon did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She also assisted us with a car rental and showed us where the best beaches and dining were located. Yoga was offered twice daily as well. We miss this place already as I am writing this in Santorini. Thank you again for the wonderful stay and interesting conversations! "

"Sitting atop a hill in Mykonos with panoramic views of the island and the Aegean is a lovely hotel called Villa Konstantin. Upon entering the property one feels an overwhelming sense of peacefulness and tranquility. The property is designed to offer guests as much privacy or cultural immersion as they choose. Each of the guest rooms is unique and beautifully decorated. Several things make this hotel special: "

"Proximity: Within a short ten minute walk, guests are able to travel to Mykonos town to enjoy the hustle and bustle of tourists, water front restaurants and shopping. A ten minute walk in another direction leads guests to a grocery store, ATM machine, laundry facility and local, non-tourist restaurants. The ability to access these resources by foot provides a great deal of independence as there isn’t a necessity to rely on a hotel shuttle or taxis to navigate the local area. "

"Hotel Facilities: The hotel grounds are beautiful with lush flora and private seating areas to enjoy the view and spectacular sunsets. The swimming pool is beautiful and inviting and the perfect place to lounge and enjoy the sun. Add to that, a fabulous new yoga studio that rivals studios that we have here in the US! World class yoga instructors travel to Mykonos to offer morning and evening classes here. What a perfect way to begin or end a day, with relaxation and personal introspection."

"Hotel Staff: Proprietress Sharon Graham is a real dynamo with seemingly endless energy! Sharon’s staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating. In addition to tending to her guests needs, Sharon is the President of the Mykonos Animal Welfare Group and is often seen organizing local volunteers to provide assistance to cats, dogs and a variety of other animals in need on the island. "

"Our recent week long stay at Villa Konstantin was fabulous! We had a wonderful time"

"and were sorry to leave. We look forward to future visits to Villa Konstantin!"

"I had the pleasure of finding time on Mykonos at Villa Konstantin. A last minute late September break found Sharon in her effortlessly warm and welcoming mood. Nothing surprising there, then! Now, Sharon has added a beautiful yoga retreat to the grounds of Villa Konstantin. That along with the serenity of her views across the Aegean, the immediacy of the town, and general locality on the island make Villa Konstantin a perfect choice every time, and the reason I continually go back. The weather in September is perfect and the summer crowds have dispersed, leaving a more gentle approach to the holiday. That said, nightlife is still very much happening if that's what you are looking for. This time, I just wanted relaxation and time out from a stressful life and that is indeed what I got. I took a partner with me and it was his first time to Mykonos - I can guarantee it won't be his last. Thanks Sharon and Dimitri for everything and see you very soon."

"My wife and 11 month old daughter spent four magnificent nights in Mykonos at Villa Konstantin. Her family treated us like family and we felt so comfortable there! We had an absolutely unforgettable experience. Our room was perfect for our little family (crib and all) and exactly as pictured and described when we booked. The owner and stellar host, Sharon, helped us with everything. She helped us rent a car, gave us directions, and most importantly provided us with recommendations on where to go since she knew what we would prefer from the other endless options and places to visit in Mykonos. She will help with any advice and organization of activities that you need. She even helped us find an amazing babysitter (Hannah) for a couple nights so that we could enjoy dinner and drinks in Chora by ourselves. Villa Konstantin is her family's business for many years now and what an amazing business and life they have created for themselves! You can feel all of the love and positive energy that they have put in (and continue to put in every single day) to this wonderful property. They are a beautiful family and they also volunteer much of their time to an animal rescue and pet adoption organization that Sharon has started. It is a very caring organization and they are always looking for donations to help with their efforts on the island. The views are great, sunsets are spectacular from the pool, patio and personal deck areas from every suite. Unfortunately, we never used the pool as we were too busy driving around and exploring the island, but it is a nice, large pool and deck area to lounge around all day if you choose. Overall, the experience was totally unforgettable and now we feel that we have a second home in Mykonos! Can't wait to go back and visit Sharon and Villa Konstantin again! Thank you for everything Sharon, Dimitri and Hannah!"

"We have just spent five amazing days at villa Konstantin. We had booked eight rooms for family and friends to attend a family wedding in Mykonos. Sharon was the perfect host, making us feel at home during the whole stay. She was always available, helpful, giving us great advice on what to do on the island but most importantly we felt like home. The rooms were clean, we had everything we needed, the pool is perfect to relax quietly and the hotel is very close to down town. We were traveling with our elderly parents and our two little children and everybody was equally happy! Would definitely recommend Villa Konstantin!"

"Stayed here for 10 days with two friends and cannot fault this property at all. It was Immaculate. The pool area is excellent and breakfasts are perfect. It is a 15 minutes’ walk to town, but it's all lit up. Would just like to say that the hosts are fantastic. Thanks for a great stay."

"I returned to this lovely spot with my two daughters and had a perfect stay again. We had a delightful room that gave plenty of space to the three of us, had spectacular sea views and lots of peace and quiet, yet close to town when we wanted it in an easy, scenic walk. The pool, breakfast, excellent Wi-Fi, and the lovely host Sharon that made us feel right at home all summed up a five star experience at a very reasonable rate. The big news is the opening a lovely yoga space with the premier teacher on all of Mykonos. We were there for the blessing and hope to go back for a future yoga retreat."

"I cannot say enough great things about Villa Konstantin. I had the pleasure of staying at the villa in July with two friends. Sharon, the owner and manager, was wonderful in assisting us with pre-arrival questions as well as everything we could possibly need during our stay. Concierge extraordinaire Linda S. was absolutely fantastic in recommending fun things to do, places where to eat and see, and making arrangements so we didn’t need to lift a finger! The room itself was spacious and immaculate and resort was very well kept and in a great location for accessing everything the island has to offer. The pool is the infinity type that overlooks the Aegean spectacular views. We had such a marvelous time, we did not want to leave and attempted to push back our flight for just another day in paradise; unfortunately, this was not possible (because of the airline, not Villa Konstantin!). However, something tells me I’ll be back to Mykonos and of course the villa hopefully sooner than later!"
