Zen bungalows are built from eco bamboo materials offering cozy environment with a small ensuite bathroom (hot shower). Bed comes with a twin-size mattress suitable for one person only. Bungalows are air conditioned and there's a mosquito net over bed, and a safe box.
Suitable for single occupancy only the room is quite small but warm and homelike with stunning sea views. All rooms feature a twin-size bed, A/C, and a safety box. The yoga caves use common bathroom and shower shared by 7 rooms. Facilities are located just around the corner.

Footsteps away from a private beach with crystal waters each bungalow is equipped with a queen size bed while five bungalows also have additional single bed. This portion of the course is going to reveal more than you ever even thought there was to yoga! Your understanding of why, how, and what we call yoga will be amplified. Ram will be teaching you the most important and relevant ancient texts of India that show the bigger spiritual picture of yoga and how to live in it. Patanjalis Yoga Sutras will be examined carefully as this masterpiece provides a clear view into the nature of mind, self-discipline, and the path to enlightenment. The Bhagavad Gita will be studied as a means for understanding Dhamma, or our sacred duty in the world. Sanskrit, the language of yoga, will be explored as you hear and recite different mantras and sutras which invoke the wisdom of sages and the empowering vibrations of the Sanskrit alphabet. This bridge of spoken Sanskrit will lead you into energetic practices which will help you really experience what the ancient yogis of India have blessedly passed down to us. Pranayama, methods of controlling and moving energy, will be taught and practiced regularly, as well as group singing in the Kirtan. Pranayama can greatly increase the power of our discipline and our bodies. The Kirtan experience helps us dissolve into the heart of the human spirit, singing together as one group with no thoughts, just our voices and the music.
These practical based sessions, aim at introducing the anatomy and physiology that relate to yoga. Basic anatomical structures and definition of terms will be introduced, followed by practical sessions on the various joints that are most prone to injuries in yoga. It is the aim of this session to reduce the likelihood of injuries in the vertebral column, knee joint complex, hip joint, shoulder girdle, and pelvic girdle. Constraints due to individual structural variations and how these would affect Asana performance will also be discussed. Anatomy session will not be completed unless you can put your knowledge into practice and application. The applied anatomy training is focused on how to adjust clients and/or using yoga props, based on the understanding of joint structures and the analysis of the Asanas.
To perfect the students understanding, the anatomy and physiology session also includes the basic physiology of the respiratory system and digestive system. Understanding these internal dynamic movements leads the practitioner to a more profound energetic practice as you learn how to develop greater lung capacity and refine your awareness of Bandha.

We will teach you about pricing and marketing and about how to grow into teaching workshops, retreats, and international events! We will give you all the info you need to present yourself to the world in the appropriate manner to follow your dreams and reach your goals.
This program is about embarking on a journey of self-inquiry with the support of a like-minded group that leads to action within our community and the outside world. Action can be many things, ranging from healing relationships with family and friends, to extending oneself to the larger community, or doing national or international work. The main intention is to understand the nature of our interdependence and our unique role in the web of life: to feel significant and as a part of this greater whole. This is the embodiment of Karma yoga and also Dhamma, or self-less service and the fulfilling of your duty in this life. During this week, you will be guided through an intensive transformational process using Vinyasa flow yoga and other tools to uncover your deepest passions and motivation. We will combine yoga Asanas, meditation and visualization, experiential exercises, process work, and ritual with the practical tools of communication, organizing, and collaborating with your peers. We will also introduce practical methods for each of you to begin to bring your own unique purpose into the world as action with the support and inspiration of your community. Youll leave with a clearer sense of purpose and passion, armed with skills to help you be a more effective leader and agent of change in the world.
Vikasa means evolution or spiritual development when translated from Sanskrit. The concept of evolution of yoga is based on the notion that everything in the world evolves constantly, including human beings. Our primary goal as a human race and that of any living organism is evolution and yoga can be seen as a tool to facilitate such evolution in any given individual. However, as the practice of yoga itself changes with time and place, as new techniques are being introduced, as the approach is becoming more technical, precise, and scientific any definition of it as a system or style seems to be a limitation in itself. Therefore, the Evolution of Yoga approach has to be seen as an ever evolving process, which anyone can be a part of, rather than a complete static system.
Evolution of Yoga approach is based on integrating deep core work with precise alignment, combining active dynamic exercises from different disciplines with static poses from classic Hatha yoga schools, alternating dynamic and static, pressure, and deep relaxation. Therefore, exploring ha-tha or the yin and yang concept to its maximum potential, using the principle of hyper compensation. Evolution of Yoga is about challenging yourself with an ever progressing program in order to transform, optimize, and balance to fine-tune your system. Core bodywork is integrated with precision breathing through which the highest states of concentration can be experienced. As the students get more familiar with the bodywork, pranayama or breathing exercises are introduced to take the practitioner to the next level. This ultimately leads to meditation and expansion of consciousness or evolution!

An internationally recognized certificate from the Vikasa yoga school is awarded on successful completion of the course. The diploma is titled Yoga Master Vikasa Yoga 200hr. The course is officially recognized by the Yoga Alliance in the USA and Canada for the 200 hours registered yoga school standards.

Hailing from Hong Kong, Michelle uses practical examples and an easy to understand approach. Michelle reveals the anatomy of the human body, from muscle to bone to spine and how these spinal structures can cause obstacles in asana practice.
Jason immersed himself in the study and teaching of the spiritual and esoteric aspects of the science of yoga. He has been practicing yoga for fifteen years and he has been teaching yoga professionally for over ten years. With comprehensive training in various lineages, three 500 hour certifications and dedication to continued study of the subject of yoga, Jason brings his wealth of knowledge in both theory and practice of Hatha Yoga, Tantra Yoga and Yoga Therapy to this course. Jason is a registered E-RYT 500 yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance.

We are also just a short drive from the most popular and busy shopping and dining areas of Chaweng, Lamai, and Bo Phut. Koh Samui is rather small and easy to explore on your own.

Vikasa serves wholesome health-conscious meals in buffet style. Kickstart your day to an amazing brunch. A freshly squeezed juice, tea and coffee, a sunny side up or vegetable omelette, wholegrain toasts, oatmeal/ muesli with yoghurt, or chia seeds pudding, superfoods, boiled veggies with specialty in-house organic dips, vegetarian sandwiches or pancakes, and of course a variety of fresh-cut tropical fruits. Dinner includes a hot soup, typical local dishes with tofu, brown rice, two or three vegetarian dishes, fresh salad, dahl, and always one seafood dish. For dessert we serve fruits, occasional delectable mango sticky rice or other uniquely Thai savouring. A homemade signature tea is a perfect finish to your meal. We are also serving light snacks during afternoon breaks; however many students prefer to eat out while exploring nearby beaches or famous shopping areas.
You can still order anything from the amazing restaurant throughout the day. Our restaurant has found its own formula to combine healthy ingredients with pure indulgence. Enjoy the evolution of healthy food from our famous sea-view terrace served by our friendly staff.
Thai massage is wonderfully therapeutic and relaxing. Massage services can range from gentle and relaxing to highly effective deep tissue massage. Your therapist can help with specific problem areas and help to relieve stress related blockages.
Just across the road from Vikasa, there is a traditional Muay Thai boxing school. Private or group Muay Thai lessons can be easily arranged. For those willing to try a new experience in the martial arts, Muay Thai provides an exciting contrast to yoga practice.
The traditional heart of Bophut is a charming fisherman village on the east side of the beach. Enjoy walking the street bazaar every Friday for local shopping. If you want to try the local seafood, your fresh catch is prepared before your eyes.
Chaweng is the largest and most popular of Samuis beaches. This is the longest beach on Samui and also the busiest tourist area with lots of shopping, dining, and nightlife.
Lamai is another nearby area situated along the second biggest beach after Chaweng. It also has a shopping street with many shops and restaurants.
We can take your group to a nice beach at sunrise or sunset for an unforgettable meditation and pranayama session.
Tour the local waterfalls, see a secret Buddha garden, visit the National Marine Park, explore the temples of Koh Samui, or meet local Buddhist monks. Many other exciting touring options are available by special request.
