Program

Plant medicines have been a central aspect of human evolution as far as human history dates back. The indigenous Amazonian tribes consider plants to have spirits and those spirits to be a source of great power and healing. By helping you form a connection to the divine consciousness, these teacher plants help to guide you towards understanding how to free yourself from internal blockages and connect to the higher wisdom that lives within you. Simultaneously, plant knowledge reconnects you to the humility, intention, and integrity that underlies your existence. Each plant medicine retreat will have Shamans from different regions of South America to offer diversity in learning plant medicine.

Every ceremony is different, and each shaman has a particular way of guiding these sacred journeys. All of the shamans have years of experience and have performed countless healing ceremonies with many people from all aspects of life.

This short itinerary is a sample of what we will be doing in this retreat. Please note that the schedule might change during the retreat. Check-in will start at 3:00 p.m. For those arriving by bus, they will coordinate an arrival time to meet you at the bus station. In the evening, you will gather at the center for a small introduction to the schedule and questions.

Food

'There are corporeal, organic things that need to be cleared before you can see the essential,' Jan Kounen says in the book The Psychotropic Mind: The World According to Ayahuasca, Iboga, and Shamanism. His words poetically sum up why it is important to physically prepare your body for taking Ayahuasca. Most of your bodies are cluttered with all kinds of stimulating, sensational foods from your modern diets - foods filled with salt, sugar, and caffeine.

To open yourself up to receive the messages of Madre Ayahuasca, you need to first clear yourself of these toxins. With the chef’s flair in design and knowledge in healing foods, you can expect during your stay that your plate will look as attractive as it does deliver on taste and nutrients even when following the Ayahuasca diet.

All meals are included in the retreat, and follow the guidelines of the Ayahuasca diet.
