Brenna Kramer

Brenna will be your yoga instructor. She is a yogi, a lover of eating and gathering, and an observer with a curiosity for the human spirit. She first began teaching over ten years ago and is trained in both the practice of yoga and pilates. She is an active cook and health coach. She guides clients to build a relationship with food that is enjoyable and delicious through farm to table cooking classes.

Brenna’s yoga classes encourage students to be curious, to move with integrity, and to always find beauty and grace in their practice. She strives to create a practice and lifestyle based in both art and science.

Trained as a dancer as a child and young adult, her classes move with style, synced to rhythmic breathing. She couples a creative practice with directing students to have strong body awareness, and proper alignment. She believes that when we move with integrity, we can more genuinely create a beautiful, sustainable lifestyle on and off the mat.

Mike Hardin

Mike is a Seattle based personal fitness trainer certified through the American College of Sports Medicine. With fifteen years training experience, Mike has developed a highly effective coaching style making him very popular among those interested in improving their overall fitness and reaching specific training goals. His wide-range of expertise includes weight loss, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, rehab, and sports specific performance training.

Having the opportunity to work with various clients and groups over the years, Mike understands that there is no set path to improving ones fitness level. He believes that most gains and growth occur when an individuals program is flexible allowing him or her to adapt to life’s obstacles.

Mike recognizes that the ability to balance work, rest, and play is one component of a successful program. The other is keeping it fun! Mike’s philosophy is that with levity and playfulness, learning becomes natural, progress happens faster, and short-lived fitness goals turn to life-long changes.

Driving directions from Puerto Vallarta

  • From the airport parking area, go straight after exiting the pay station (make a right turn) and immediately get into the left hand lane in order to be able to effectively do a U-turn so as to be traveling north on Highway 200.
  • Follow the signs for Compestela and Tepic. Initially, you will be on a six-lane highway which will narrow to four lanes and eventually two lanes. Watch carefully and obey the street lights, arrows and your speed.
  • After about 20 minutes, you will pass through the town of Bucerias. Just before Bucerias on your right, you will see a Mega Commercial supermarket where you may wish to stop to buy supplies and drinks.
  • After Bucerias, Mex Highway 200 continues as a four-lane highway for a few more miles until the turnoff to Punta de Mita. Continue straight to Sayulita.
  • The highway then changes to a two-lane road, and heads up and over a series of hills in a winding and twisting manner with many curves.
  • After about 18 kilometers, you will see a large overhead sign. It is one mile / 1.6 kilometers into Sayulita.
  • Follow the road until you approach a set of yellow studs set in the road just before a bridge and there is a small sign pointing to the right for Sayulita and straight on for Punta de Mita.
  • As you enter Sayulita, continue straight into the center of town towards the plaza. At the plaza (or just before), turn right towards the beach and then turn left so you are paralleling the beach.
  • Continue to the "T" intersection (dirt road) and then turn right. Follow the beach for another quarter miles south until you get to the Villa Amor entrance.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Puerto Vallarta Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR). Via Yoga will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the villa. The pick-up is included in the price.

For information about the booking conditions, please send Via Yoga an inquiry.

"I have been on three (!!) surf & yoga retreats with Via Yoga, and they are amazing every time! The planning, and organization is left to Suzie and the Via Yoga staff, and they do an incredible job. I loved practicing yoga in the open yoga space in Sayulita, MX, my yoga teacher (Troy Lucero) wa the very best, the surfing/SUP instructors were all top-notch for students of all levels, the group is led by a Via Yoga host who knows the area and is there to answer any questions you have or to help you trouble shoot any problems. You’re in GREAT hands with Via Yoga– go have a fun vacation!"

"Magical Place. I was there for a Yoga Retreat a couple of weeks ago. It was the most awesome experience I have ever had, it was life changing for me and a large part of it was the Costa Rica Yoga Spa itself as it is very beautiful and the Rancho is very magical. I had one of the beautiful private rooms with a balcony, loved sitting out there in the morning watching the sunrise and listening to the sounds of the jungle waking up. Watching the sunset over the panoramic view of the jungle with the ocean in the background was breathtaking and something I will never forget. I miss watching the sunsets already. The staffs are amazing and made you feel part of a family and the food was absolutely outstanding. Loved the excursions (paddle boarding and ziplining and the trips to the beach)and of course Yoga every day. I enjoyed the Spa treatments and the healing session I had with Ashley. I will definitely go back. Thank you to the staff of the Costa Rica Yoga Spa for the most amazing experience. "
