Vedanā Lagoon Resort & Spa offers a new concept with stylish interior decoration on an area of 27 hectares of undulating land and lagoon surface in a calm and picturesque landscape. With 29 luxury villas, bungalows, the resort is as warm and inviting as it is fresh and full of vision. Each of the villas and bungalows are individualized and have their own private sun deck, and a balcony that leads out onto the immense lagoon or into a private garden.
All villas luxuriously appointed with all modern conveniences including dvd entertainment set, minibar with coffee and tea making facilities, electronic safe deposit box, id telephone, individual air conditioning, stationery kit, and satellite television. Bach Ma National Park is located in central Vietnam and around 680 kilometers from the country's capital Hanoi. The national park covers an area of 37,487 hectares in the province of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam. It was created in 1991 to protect the center of the last corridor of forest stretching from the south of China Sea to the border with Laos.
With steep mountains and dense forests, this area is home to a wide variety of animals and plants. At the base of the mountains there is tropical monsoon forest, which is sub-tropical above 900 meters. There are species from both the Northern and Southern areas of the country and Bach Ma is recognized as one of the biodiversity centers of Indochina. Now, Bach Ma National Park does not only offer beautiful landscapes, but it also allows scientific research.
Canh Duong Beach, Hue is located in the Thua Thien Hue region of Vietnam about 60 kilometers from Hue City. The beach covers an expansive area of 8 kilometers in length and 200 meters in width. The most beautiful and striking feature of the beach is its shape. The arc shape of the beach makes it a stand out among the numerous tourist attractions of Vietnam.
Canh Duong Beach is considered to have the most stunning backdrop of the mountains, namely Western Chan May and Eastern Chan May. The beach is sandwiched between these two mountains which incidentally gives the arc shape to the beach. The beach has certainly graduated as a major tourist attraction of Vietnam. Besides the characteristic arc shaped feature, the gradual slope with the white powdery sands coupled with the turquoise blue water are the attractive traits of the beach. The environment always remains charming with the windless surrounding the beach, making it ideal for all sorts of activities associated with sea water.
Located on the banks of the poetic Thu Bon River, in central Quang Nam Province, 30 kilometers south of Da Nang, Hoi An Ancient Town is an Eastern Oriental classic captivation. With the strategic location on the banks of the great river, with one seaside border, it used to be one of the major trading centers in Southeast Asia during the 16th century due to the early Western trader occupying period. Coming here, tourists can see a series of old architecture lanes and houses with nearly 100% left from their initial buildings with moss grown walls, deeply plain roofs, and old furniture in their past arrangement.
Today, Hoi An is also known as a shopping paradise that attracts tourists towards its wonderful souvenirs, handicrafts, antique pieces, silk materials, art paintings, and many more.
The citadel complex of Hue, set up by Nguyen Dynasty from 1805 to 1945, is now one amongst the relics of the Hue ancient capital, the world cultural heritage, capturing much of tourists’ attention. The poetic and beautiful Hue of Vietnam was chosen to be the capital of the kingdom under Nguyen lords’ dynasty. The citadel palace complex is located on the north bank of Huong River (Perfume River), inside Hue City.
It is a huge complex covering an area of 520 hectares and comprising three circles of ramparts, Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue capital citadel), Hoang Thanh (royal citadel), and Tu Cam Thanh (forbidden citadel). It started to be constructed in 1805 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and was completed in 1832 under the sovereignty of Emperor Ming Mang. Over the past 200 years, it has still maintained original with nearly 140 small and large constructions.
Lang Co is renowned for its natural breathtaking landscape. It lies on the most beautiful curve of the country where you will be the first to see the sunrise in Vietnam. Here, you can find almost everything that mother nature can offer: green mountains, tropical forest, or soft white sand covered with sunshine and damped by crystal clear blue sea. The town itself is very small and peaceful, which will give you the most relaxing time. Recently, Lang Co Beach has been voted as one of the top 40 beautiful beaches in the world.
Athough My Son Sanctuary is not as majestic and spectacular as Angkor (Cambodia), Pagan (Myanma), Borobudua (Indonesia), it possesses an important role in South East Asia’s civilization of art. In December 1999, Hoi An Ancient Town along with My Son Sanctuary were recognized as the world cultural heritages by UNESCO. Hundreds of thousands of tourists and researchers visit My Son Sanctuary every year.
Tam Giang Lagoon has a depth of 2 to 4 meters, in some places 7 meters, the immense water surface is an area of important economic activity, bringing high income with its sea products. Thua Thien Hue Province plain along the sea coast has many lagoons, such as those of Tam Giang, Thuy Tu, and Lap An. In them, the water of almost all the rivers of the province of Thus Then Hue converged together before going to the sea through the mouths of Thuan An, Tu Hien, or through the great lagoon of Lang Co.
Tam Giang and Cau Hai are the 2 biggest lagoons with fresh water, the 2 most representative lagoons in Vietnam with a length of 70 kilometers for the whole of the two. They form an ideal habitat for many sea species all along the province. Thousands tons of sea products are brought on here (fish, shrimps, and others) yearly.
Thanh Toan Tile Roofed-Bridge crosses a canal flowing from the beginning to the end of Thanh Toan Village, Thuy Thanh Commune, Huong Thuy District, and Thua Thien Hue Province. Thanh Toan Tile Roofed-Bridge is an arched wooden bridge, 17 meters long and 4 meters wide. On both sides of the bridge, the lengths are 2 rows of wooden flat forms and parapets for people to lean their backs, the bridge is also roofed with tube. Thanh Thuy Village was established in the 16th century. The village is about 6 kilometers from Hue City Center on the eastward.
Thien Mu Pagoda is situated on Ha Khe Hill, on the left bank of the Perfume River, in Huong Long Village, about 2 kilometers from center of Hue City. It was built in 1601, and then Lord Nguyen Phuc Tan had it renovated in 1665. This is the oldest pagoda of Hue and is known as national pagoda in Nguyen Dynasty. Nowadays, the pagoda is very well-maintained and very welcoming to all visitors.
Gia Long’s emperor was born on February 8, 1762. He ruled the country for 18 years (1802-1819). He passed away on February 3, 1820 at the age of 58. His tablet was worshiped in the Mieu Temple with the Posthumous title of the To Cao Hoang De.
The tomb of the first of Nguyen Dynasty is located some 20 kilometers south of Hue in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Originally constructed by the king for his wife on her death in 1814, it is a double-graved tomb. The nearby Minh Thanh Temple is dedicated to the king and queen, whilst a stele recounts the king’s life and achievements.
Khai Dinh (1885-1926) became emperor when he was 31 years old. He was well known for building places, wearing colorful clothes, and the first king of Vietnam who went board. Tomb of Khai Dinh was built from 1920 to 1931.
It took the longest time to build among tombs of Nguyen emperor in Hue. It started building on September 4, 1920 and took 11 years to complete. In order to have enough money to build the tomb, Khai Dinh raised the tax to 30 percent. This action was extremely opposed by the people and he became the most hated among emperor in the Nguyen Dynasty.
The architect of Tomb of Khai Dinh is a strange, new, and unique architecture. It also has the combination of the traditional architecture of Nguyen Dynasty, the modern Western architecture, and showing characters of Khai Dinh emperor. The interior of Thien Dinh place of Tomb of Khai Dinh was wonderfully designed and decorated by colorful glass and pottery.
Comparing Tomb of Khai Dinh to the tombs of other Nguyen emperors, Khai Dinh is the smallest in size. But it took the longest time and money. Khai Dinh ordered people to buy steel, cement, pottery, glass, and porcelain from France, China and Japan to build Tomb of Khai Dinh.
Tomb of Minh Mang is located in beautiful surroundings close to the banks of the Huong River some 12 kilometers south of Hue. It consists of about 40 monuments of various dimensions, located within an oval-shaped wall 2000 meters in circumference. There is a stele that recounts the king’s life and achievements. Of particular note are the elegant Minh Lau Pavilion and the Sung An Temple where Minh Mang and his queen are worshipped.
Tomb of Thieu Tri lies in Chu Chanh Village, Thuy Bang Commune, Huong Thuy District, Hue. After being on the throne for seven years, Emperor Thieu Tri was sick and died on November 4, 1847 at the age of 41. In his lifetime, the emperor neither thought of his death nor wanted the people and soldiers to waste so much labour and property for him, so he did not have his tomb built. As soon as his soon became an emperor, Tu Duc had the royal geomancer to seek land for his father's tomb. On February 11, 1848, the construction started and 10 months later, it was completed.
Tomb of Tu Duc is located in a walled 12 hectare park in Duong Xuan Thuong Village, 7 kilometers from central Hue, the beautiful Tomb of Tu Duc (1848-1883) was constructed between 1864 and 1867 as a second royal palace. At a time when the West was challenging the country’s independence, the king came here often to pursue his scholarly interests away from the cares of the world. The complex incorporates some 50 edifices, including the Hoa Khiem Temple which Tu Duc used as a palace and the colorful Minh Khiem Duong Royal Theatre where performances were staged.
It has been built since March, 2006, Truc Lam Bach Ma Zen Monastery in Loc Hoa Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province is now almost completed and it has attracted many tourists. It is on the center of Truoi River with its head standing against the mountain. From a distance, it looks like a beautiful island. Clouds, smoke, smell of green forest, songs of birds, and clean water allow people to mix themselves with the nature right in a romantic area with cool weather all year.
