Namaste yogis, I am so looking forward to sharing this retreat with you! My name is Kiera, I’ve been teaching at Urban Soul now for almost a year. I first discovered yoga in Bali whilst on holiday over 10 years ago, and while I first fell in love with the dance-like movement side of the practice, I quickly grew to understand the deeper benefits to my life and particularly my mental health. I am passionate about helping students to experience the benefits of yoga and meditation to calm the mind and about helping people cope with everyday stress and anxiety through the practice.
I’m all about exploring, that’s when you make discoveries! And as exploration is thoroughly embedded in the ethos of Feldenkrais, I am delighted to have found a vocation where I get to apply my love of organizing/rearranging to people’s movement patterns. I’ve been a massage therapist since 2010, I thoroughly enjoy working with people, helping them unwind and find more comfort in their body and Feldenkrais gives them tools that enable them to find that sense of ease for themselves. What I am most interested in is people connecting to themselves and what’s important to them.
It is an absolute honor to be able to share this retreat with you all. Govinda Valley has a very special place in my heart, being a go-to retreat spot for me personally when I had a very busy banking career. It truly is a beautiful spot, connected so intimately to nature allowing a deep sense of peace to be found during a weekend away here. Yoga is my passion, connecting movement back to breathe and slowing down those busy minds. I love bringing yogis back to their heart space and connecting back to their true nature using a steady Hatha flow, incorporating breath work and yoga Nidra.
