Learn how to fly and spread the joy of finding the inner bird to others with this 50-hour online Aerial training. This online course can be made at home and provides you with all you need to become a skilled practitioner and confident instructor. ULU Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga with physical therapy and acrobatics to create a challenging and fun practice for beginners and advanced practitioners. The course is designed with 50 hours of practice through video modules, course manual, teaching and assessments. The content is clear and easy to follow and instruction is given with the ULU Yoga Swing, but you can modify it at home with a regular hammock.
The course/hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.
All times above are based on ICT/GMT+7.
Learn to fly with ULU Yoga! Since 2014 ULU Yoga has been offering Aerial yoga teacher training in Thailand and Bali. On this online course, you will receive pre-recorded video modules including guided Aerial Vinyasa and Aerial Restorative classes, step-by-step instruction of over 70 poses, plus workshops on Aerial acrobatics, Aerial massage, Aerial choreography, and more. You will design original classes, record yourself practicing and submit them for review. Plus you can join optional daily live classes.
The manual contains over 100 pictures and detailed descriptions for 70 poses. Also included are sections on safety, rigging, history, anatomy, lesson plans, and evaluation.
Practice along with the analytics videos. Learn over 70 poses step by step. Master correct alignment and technique. Then watch the videos again, stop every 5 minutes, and practice teaching that segment. Finally, record yourself teaching each pose from the book. Watch your video and write a self-review.
Practice along with these regular full-length Aerial Vinyasa and Aerial Restorative classes. Learn to create a balanced class mixing traditional yoga with the sequenced flow. Record yourself practicing each class. Watch your videos and fill out an evaluation form for each one.
Mix Aerial with Thai massage and acrobatics. Learn Restorative therapy techniques and fun tricks. Because these are more specialized workshops, first watch each video, but do not practice along. Then watch again and practice along. Then watch a third time and record yourself practicing along. Watch your videos and fill out an evaluation form for each one. Use a partner for an Aerial massage if possible.
Watch the choreography videos from past ULU Yoga training. Design your own 5 minutes choreography by yourself or with a partner or group. Record yourself performing your choreography. Watch your video, then do it again and try to improve. Then write a self-review.
Watch the video of students doing teaching practice from past training. Pause the video every few minutes and describe what you see in your evaluation form.
Design an original 75 minutes class. Use the provided templates for guidance or make your own. Practice teaching your class. Record yourself teaching the class by yourself or with another student. Watch your video and fill out an evaluation form. Upload your video and lesson design. An instructor will review your work and give you feedback.
Watch the videos and learn how to make a bamboo tripod to do Aerial outdoors in nature. Create your own tripod with bamboo, wooden poles, PVC pipe, or steel pipe. Record yourself putting the tripod up and down and giving a demonstration of poses. Watch your video and fill out an evaluation form. If building a tripod is too difficult, you can instead design a second original 75 minutes class.
Spend some time each day studying the manual, which includes sections on safety, rigging, history of Aerial, asana analytics, lesson plans, and quiz. You may also use this time for practicing poses, working more on your original class, or doing other yoga practices to build strength or stretch as your body requires.
This course uses ULU Yoga’s own cushioned aerial hammock in all the videos. You can easily practice using a regular aerial hammock. Or you can purchase a ULU Airswing, it’s much more comfortable and versatile.
You will receive ULU Yoga Aerial yoga manual and links to essential readings and quizzes as well as the pre-recorded video modules.
There are 2 daily live classes through Zoom where you can connect with the teachers and other students from their online 200/300-hour YTT courses. There is also an exclusive chat group with all the students and teachers where you can ask questions. Besides, they provide a 24/7 student support service.
