This course takes place at the serene Bounty Resort, which sits between three perfect beaches. You can also just pay tuition and choose a more upscale accommodation next door at Haad Son Resort or Hi Life Bungalows.
Bounty Resort has Deluxe seaview rooms with large balconies, tv and fridge; Family rooms are the same plus have two beds. Wooden bungalows (fan) have comfy hammocks with great ocean views; Standard rooms are more modern with partial sea view balconies. Superior rooms are similar plus have a.c.; Shared rooms (a.c.) have two beds.
All rooms have: wi-fi, private bathrooms, towels, toiletries and tea kettle. The resort also has a great restaurant, swimming pool, laundry service, ATM, motorbike rental, pick up and drop off service, travel and tour assistance.
In order to complete this course in person you will work on average 14 hours a day: 7 hours of studio practice and lectures, 3 hours of mealtime lectures, 2 hours of group study and self-study, 2 hours of other yogic lifestyle activities like beach meditation, sauna excursion and ecstatic dance. Plus there are several 15 min breaks throughout the day.
ULU Yoga is a 200/300/500-hour registered school with Yoga Alliance ID 198078. After completing this course you will receive a 200/300/500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and become qualified to teach anywhere in the world. You can also register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT Registered Yoga Teacher.
Each morning begins with pranayama and meditation, followed by a guided yoga practice of either Hatha, vinyasa or ashtanga yoga. There are also evening classes and 2x week aerial, acro and yin yoga.
Focus on one style each week to give you deeper more specialised knowledge: 1) aerial yoga 2) ashtanga vinyasa yoga 3) yin and hatha yoga. Each week is offered as a 50-hour module, which may be joined by other students. You will also receive acro and SUP classes.
Receive a detailed explanation of core yoga poses and sequences. Learn about their common foundation and how to build upon it in order to achieve correct alignment and technique. Learn modifications to accommodate different levels, serve special needs and achieve advanced variations.
Learn teaching skills, cueing, sequencing, corrections and adjustments. Practice teaching every day and design original classes. Receive detailed feedback and become a confident instructor.
Special classes include SUP yoga, yoga for injuries, hands-on adjustments, transitions, sequencing, class design, prenatal yoga, advanced pranayama and meditation techniques, working with props and more.
Gain a deeper understanding of bodily systems, structures, and principles underlying each movement and of yoga itself. See how specific muscles respond to the movements of the joints with biomechanics; how the spine, breathing, and body positions are all fundamentally linked.
Discover your true self and the deeper nature of reality through the sacred wisdom of ancient yogic philosophy. Learn to apply these lessons in the real world to cultivate a holistic lifestyle. Topics include the Vedas, yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, 8 limbs, nature of self/soul, nadis, chakras, consciousness, karma, gunas, ego, tantra, and more.
You can work hard and complete all your hours onsite, take your time and do half your studies online, or mix it up to customise training to best suit your needs.
Another option is to do 300 hours on site and 200 hours online, which includes videos covering all topics, physical practice, readings and quizzes on Thinkific. You can complete these studies before, during or after your on-site training, and take up to one year to finish. You will also have optional live classes on Zoom, M-F, 2 pm GMT +3. You must first complete all your online work to receive a teacher training certificate.

One morning, you will visit the resort's private beach and do aerial yoga flying above the ocean to take amazing pictures. Plus the group usually goes out together every day for lunch or dinner or visiting nearby beaches and scenic points and special events like ecstatic dance and sauna excursion.
Cody is a lead ULU Yoga trainer. He has been teaching yoga globally for several years and instructing multiple yoga teacher training as a lead and senior instructor. He has trained in India and Thailand on multi-style Vinyasa, Yoga, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Yin teacher training, and attended multiple movements, anatomy, and meditation workshops throughout Asia. He has certifications in Aerial and SUP yoga. Additionally, he has several years of experience in Qigong, primal movement, contemporary dance, Calisthenic training, and a black belt in Taekwondo.
Stephan aka Pujan (Germany, AU) is a trained psychologist and specialist of yoga, Vedanta, and Buddhist philosophy, living several years as a monk. Spirituality is a difficult subject to teach. It is often taught either by Indians that have problems connecting with their western audience or westerners who over-intellectualize the subject. His wish is to bring the complex teachings of various spiritual traditions together in a fun and engaging way that is relevant to their lives. “Spirituality has to be practical and not only philosophical!"
Manjeet started yoga and self-awareness path in 2009. He completed his 200-Hour, 300-Hour, Yoga Therapy Module 1 & 2 MultiStyle Yoga TT with Parimukti Yoga in India. He also has certifications in meditation teacher training and Iyengar yoga. Manjeet has taught 3000+ hours in 50 plus yoga and meditation teacher training specializing in Hatha yoga, meditations, practical yoga philosophy, chakras, pranayama, and more! He has a very human approach to yoga and believes in personalizing practices for everyone. Emotional awareness and making a light, playful space also is Manjeet's specialty.
Janaina has completed over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training including multiple 200, 300, and 800-hour YTTs. Other qualifications include Acro yoga, Aerial yoga, Thai Massage, Water Therapy, and Reiki. Her teachings focus on correct and safe alignment while empowering students to look inwards and expand their perceptions. Her intention is to create a space where students can develop a deep connection and understanding of themselves through a journey of love and compassion. Janaina’s calm, centred energy and teaching style facilitates a powerful depth to her classes.
Lena (Thailand) specialises in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Her passion for finding joy in the little moments of every day and using life as a classroom for learning shines through in her approach to her practice and teachings - often lighthearted, dynamic, fluid and fun, with respect to each individual’s unique journey. Lena’s mission is to help guide others into finding a deeper connection within themselves on and off the mat. Shashi (Germany) is a certified RYT 500h Hatha Yoga. After studying law Shashi did several years of intensive trainings and retreats in India and Thailand to study metaphysics, energetics yoga and Buddhist philosophy. Shashi unfolds her passions for the life changing power of Yoga. Her fiery passion and infectious laughter serve as a transformative inspiration for students and the entire school. Koh Phangan, Thailand is a world famous magical bohemian paradise with no big crowds or traffic. This course takes place at a beautiful beachfront resort in Haad Yao. You are just 5 min walk from three incredible beaches surrounded by lush green nature. Nearby are many great restaurants, boutique shops, live music and dancing.
Breakfast (free) includes a delicious tropical fruit smoothie bowl. For lunch and dinner (average $6 per meal) you can eat at the resort or go out with the ULU Yoga team who will encourage, but not force you to make healthy choices. A cheaper option is from Bangkok, take a flight to Surat Thani Airport (1-hour, 40-60 USD), then take a bus and ferry to Koh Phangan (4.5-hour, 400 THB), then take a taxi to Bounty Resort (20-minute, 200 THB).
