    Boat trip

What could be better than relaxing on a catamaran boat while watching dolphins and whales frolicking in the water around you? The marine life of Tenerife is really diverse and dolphins and whales can normally be seen all through the year.

    Los Hippies Beach

Sometimes trips don’t have to be all about adventure and discovery, they can just be about finding a nice secluded beach and having a nice swim or relaxing with a book. That is the aim of the trip to the local Los Hippies Beach, which got its name because a community of hippies live in tents and caves around the beach. The beach can only be accessed by walking around fifteen minutes over the cliffs. So many people don’t even know it exists and it is never crowded.

Masca is a well-known trek on the island of Tenerife. The trip starts with a boat trip from the huge cliffs of Los Gigantes to Masca Bay. You then slowly make your way up through a huge gorge for around three hours to Masca Village at the top. Don’t feel intimidated though, this trek is for everyone, they have even seen a 70-year old woman on the way.

    North Tenerife

Tenerife is not a huge island, yet it is really diverse between the north and south of the island. Twin Fin Surf Camp spend most of their time in the south of the island, but every now and then, they like a change of scenery, so they pack the walking shoes and drive to the north of the island to explore the green mountains and black sand beaches.

The best way to see Tenerife is from above. Twin Fin Surf Camp arranges for a local paragliding company to pick you up from the camp, drive you to the top of the mountain before you jump and glide down, taking all of the sights along the way.

    Scuba diving

If you are PADI certified, Twin Fin Surf Camp can arrange scuba diving trips to different spots around the island so you can discover the underwater world.

    Social nights

Although Twin Fin Surf Camp definitely don’t consider themselves a party camp, they do like to see Tenerife after dark. Wednesday night is flamenco and salsa night in a nearby town. After eating dinner in the camp, you make your way to a small, local bar with a flamenco band before walking down the road to the famous Achaman club to learn some salsa moves and dance the night away. They also like to go out for dinner and try some of the local cuisine or cook a barbecue in the camp with some good music and nice conversation.

In this trip, you escape the surf camp for an afternoon and slowly make your way through El Teide National Park. El Teide, a dormant volcano, is 3,718 meters and can been seen from nearly everywhere on the island, but you need to get up close to see it in its full charm.

You will stop to take lots of photos along the way, because Teide really is a photographer’s dream. Twin Fin Surf Camp like to think you are going to another planet because up there, it feels like Mars! Then, you finish the day off by watching the sun set from above the clouds.

    Turtle bay

One of Twin Fin Surf Camp's favorite trips! A bay in the south of Tenerife is home to a family of sea turtles that can often be spotted gliding around the water. They like to spend a few hours searching for the turtles with a mask and snorkel, laying in the sun on the sand, and exploring the rocks around the bay.

Relaxing and athletic massages are available at Twin Fin Surf Camp.

Tell the driver you want to get off at Hoya Grande (one stop before Marazul). When you see the red gas station called Cepsa, signal to the driver that you wish to get off, they should stop right after the gas station which is the bottom of Twin Fin Surf Camp's street.

You will have about a ten-minute walk to the house. Walk through the big gate that has a cross above it and follow this road until the road is no longer sealed (black). Then, turn right and the house is second to your left.

"Me and my friend stayed 1 night in this wonderful hostel. It is situated in a lovely, calm place with an ocean view and next to some banana plantations. The people who work there are kind and helpful, and the camp management makes sure everything is well organized. There was also a lot to do, even for non-surfers! -There were activities like yoga, 'kayaking with the dolphins'and Masca or Teide trips on offer."

"All in all, I strongly recommend it - It is a cool camp in a beautiful place with lovely people and lots of fun activities to do!"

"My stay at the twin fin was eventful, active and relaxing. Really felt like I got charged up my batteries. The atmosphere is good. The folks who run the camp are fond of people and include everyone in the community. I have traveled a great deal, but a gem like Twin Fin I rarely have come by. I actually enjoyed the stay so much that I have been to the camp 2 times. Once in 2015 and most recently in 2016."

"Thanks for the good times :)"

"One of the best trips I have ever been on: I learnt so much and spent time with kind, happy people. I had never surfed before but with Antonio's encouragement I learnt quickly. The camp was cosy and colourful with activities such as yoga and meditation on offer. There was also the option to go on excursions to Teide and Masca bay for hiking; paragliding; beaches. The camp is tucked away behind banana trees and was such a relaxing retreat, made even better by the wonderful volunteers who cook healthy food, clean the bungalow, and run activities. There is no pressure to do anything if you would rather do your own thing but there is always something going on!"

"Made lots of friends this week :) Big thank you to Mauro for driving everywhere, Madison for delicious food, Genesis & Seb for your warm hearts, Lisanne for the yoga, and Sasha for such a relaxing massage! Most of all, thank you so much Antonio for creating these opportunities and for being a perfect surf instructor and also such a laugh on the road. I will never forget this experience!"

"Thanks a lot for one amazing week at twin fins! it was my first time here but it started feeling like a second home from the start. There are so many good vibes and so much positive energy in this place which reverberates in everything that is done. Many half day trips are offered which gave me a new, more alternative view of the island (i knew the hot spots already from previous visits). They were a nice addition to the surf transport, which worked perfectly fine. Antonio has a very good hand to pick the people who work there. Everyone was always warm and welcoming. I do not recommend it to people who are looking for a cheap place to stay and no interaction with hosts/guests as it is pretty far off and the place itself does not leave a lot of space to be alone. Twin Fins is organized in a very personal, familiar way, so it is an amazing place to meet new and interesting people and even new friends. I am definitely coming back"

"Such a lovely place. I felt welcome from the moment I got to the camp. Was one of the best vacations I ever had :-) perfect for people who love the backpacker-lifestyle or for those who want to get to know it. So if you look for a place where you can relax and also do a little bit sport next to it than you should visit the Twin Fin Surfcamp ;-). I loved the mix of surfing for some hours a Day and there were also an activity which we could join if we wanted to (hiking to masca, kayaking with dolphins, Yoga...) every day."

"The place is a little bit away from other cities but that make the people stay in the camp at night so that you can spend much time with them next to the bonfire or other great stuff and its perfect to calm down. For sure, there are also little things, which are not perfect (you shouldnt be a person who likes to spend hours in the bathroom ;-)) but that doesn't matter. It was an amazing week!!! Just felt like beeing there with a big family! Lovely"

"And I also want to thank the stuff! A(a)ntonio for his amazing smile and the huge magical things he made happend ;-) "

"Maoro for the nice drives and meditations."

"Julia for her attitude and the amazing fresh and healthy food."

"And Lisanne for her lovely character and the great yoga-lessons! :-) "

"It was wonderful to join the week with you. Stay as you are :-) and hopefully see you soon :-)"

"I had a great 18 days at Twin Fin. At first I was hesitant to go there, since I never considered myself as a Surf Camp type and usually I prefer to roam around freely. But as renting a car and booking accommodation would've been much more expensive and a lot more effort to achieve I went for the Twin Fin option, since they offered the package that seemed to suit me the most (transfer + half pension: they would take me to the surf spot, where they held surf classes and I could surf freely and I enjoyed their delicious dinners). "

"After my stay I must admit, it was definately the right choice to opt for Twin Fin. Especially the volunteers and almost always cheerful Antonio made me really feel at home and even being part of the Twin Fin family. The atmosphere in the camp was refreshingly relaxed and calm. The activities they offer are very enjoyable and I'd highly recommend the kayaking with dolphins and the hike to Masca, a small village up in the mountains. "

"There are also some aspects that I find improvable: The place could be a little bigger (for example there are only 2 bathrooms for at times 20+ people), the surf-equipment could be a little newer, there was a water shortage for several days which was kinda out of the hands of the camp administration but then again there should be some kind of alternative that lasts longer than half a day. But to be honest that didn't really lessen the great time I had in the camp."

"What counts most for me and made my stay really memorable in a positive way, was the great atmosphere and the amazing staff which made the place special."

"So thanks to all the volunteers: To Susi for the housekeeping, the breakfast and the amazing surf trips to the north (She's the best surf host ever!), to Anika for the great dinners, to Dylan and Pierre for the nice talks, the Barbecue and the great time in the water and just for being cool guys, to Genesis and Sebastian for being the joy of the camp, to Mauro for the meditation and to Antonio for managing everything, having the loudest of laughs and being an incredibly nice person."

"Today I had a great morning of surfing with one of the teachers in Antonios camp, Miguel. He taught me a lot and we had a lot of fun. He made sure to adjust our spot in the water to match my level of surfing very well!"

"A couple of days back I had contacted Antonio and he immediately made the effort to open a whatsapp group and answer all my questions. I still wasn't sure when I wanted the go surfing, which was no problem at all. Yesterday evening I asked to have a private lesson this morning and he made it happen. What a great guy, very good vibes. I talked to some people who were staying at the surf house and I can't wait to go there someday! Thanks Antonio!"

"My choice of the surf camp was random to start with - just needed to get away, have a break and time to myself and to chill out in the sun and the ocean, away from the crowd and close to nature. The camp looked good for that. Little did I know about what's to come! I took a surfing class and totally fell in love with the philosophy behind surfing and the surf itself. The camp is fun to be, clean, friendly, with family-like ambience and a sense of community. I'll definitely come back for more surf and camp life experience. Irina. 12-16/02/17."

Twin Fin Surfcamp attracts positive, energetic people with whom you can enjoy the sun, waves, delicious food, great to spend time. The ideal place for people who love surfing and spending time with people from all over the world. And go with the flow!"

"You know the feeling when you arrive in a place, take off your shoes, leave the backpack and feel the good vibes. You say: "Okay, this must be the place." It 's hard to find this environment, especially as you are a guest and you're not at home with friends. But it is as if it were. is spontaneity to differentiate Twin Fin from the others surf camp. Why did I choose this place? Because it was the only one to offer surf lessons every day, island tours, yoga classes, healthy cuisine, in a place far from the chaos, but not too lying out, and anyway near the center. This is what they proposed. Well, TWIN FIN have exceeded expectations. The place is very good, the landscape it's magic, and you fall in love with the sunset. Fabulous cuisine. They do not promise you to become Kelly Slater, but will open up a world: surfing. The lessons are excellent and they are very attentive to the number of students per instructor so you follow it properly. Finally is admirable commitment and efforts that they put on to satisfy yours needs and to solved all yours problems (at any time of day). Have a good holiday. Up to you."

"I really recommend this surf camp to anyone that wants to learn or improve their surfing. I have about two years of irregular surfing experience and I have visited a lot of different surf camps around the world. What makes this surf camp unique is the devotion of the surf teachers and the setup of the training. They really want you to improve and have ways to give you tips that I have not experienced in other places. During my week over there, I learned so much and could train away so many wrong things I did in my surfing. Cheers and thanks for the team! The place itself is beautiful and the fact that you can go here all year long and find summer and warm waters is perfect. If you are looking for a surf camp in the Canary Islands, do not hesitate to choose this one!"
