Karma yoga project

For thousands of years, service offering has been an integral part of society. While the world is becoming an increasingly global family, both growing and struggling together, True Nature Education believes that human's personal choices are more important than ever. The decision to serve, especially while traveling abroad, is an honorable and noble choice that True Nature Education celebrates together with you.

Integrating service programs (Karma yoga) into the wellness retreats are at the foundation of True Nature Education's mission and vision. True Nature Education and your personal and direct relationships with location venues allow the projects can be coordinated directly to help and make an impact on those who need it the most. True Nature provides a truly authentic “giving back” experience which will allow you to integrate with a new culture and support the local community.

  • Terry Cockburn

Terry Cockburn has been teaching yoga since 2006 and opened the doors of Freeport Yoga Company in Freeport, Maine in December of 2011. As a marathon runner, mother to two boys, business owner, and an outdoor adventure-seeker, she balances an active, Yang lifestyle with time on the meditation cushion and a contemplative Yin practice. Terry’s Yang (Vinyasa) classes are strong, creative, and inspired by Iyengar principles with an emphasis on functional alignment. Her Yin classes, on the other hand, are physically complementary and heavily influenced by insight meditation and Buddhist teachings.
