Lisa Feder

Lisa Feder is a full-time yoga instructor and wellness consultant living in Austin, Texas. She has had a passion for all things wellness for as long as she can remember. While working for over 20 years in the corporate world as a strategic marketing specialist, she began teaching fitness classes in her free time. This led her to explore yoga and she fell in love with the way it made her as well as her students. Her approach is balanced and she likes to bring humor, challenge, as well as deep relaxation into her practices.

Ever since she was a young child, Janice has loved movement and full expression whether in dance or theater. When she moved to Austin in 1979, she discovered the practice of yoga and fell in love with it. This began her journey to the heart and a path of healing that continues to grow daily. Practicing for over thirty years, Janice shares her love and the gift of yoga on and off the mat. In the spirit of love, she combines the energy of healing with playfulness to guide her students.

Sarah Memme

Sarah has always been involved in physical activity, but not until a severe rugby injury did she turn to yoga over 10 years ago. The subtle yet profound shifts inspired by attending yoga classes with teachers that she began to connect with eventually led her to continue on the path to teach yoga. Sarah’s classes reflect the passion she has for life and for yoga. She does this through playful challenges, fun energy, and succulent stretches. Sarah likes to focus on bringing awareness to alignment and finding an understanding of doing what you need to do for your body in the moment.

Christine Noonan

Christine prides herself on sharing yoga practices for real life with her students. She believes that yoga has something to offer everybody. Understanding that people come to yoga for different reasons, she wants to be there to support each person on their unique journey. With a background in massage therapy and an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, she focuses on guiding students to get the most out of every pose through clear language and an emphasis on alignment. Through creative sequencing and theming, students are offered an opportunity to calm, connect to, and revitalize the body and mind.

Susan Urquhart-Brown

Susan is a yoga, meditation, and mindfulness inquiry teacher. Susan’s nurturing style combines body, mind, and spirit to facilitate bringing presence to all aspects of life.

Christopher is a mindfulness inquiry teacher and speaker who has been on a journey of awakening for 30 years. He is passionate about individual transformation and facilitating others in their awakening process.

Jennifer Lenhart

Jennifer Lenhart, CYT / E-RYT 200, found yoga in 1994 and began teaching in 2009. To date, she has taught over 4,300 hours of yoga. She is honored to have studied in Cleveland, Ohio at the Jivasara Yoga School under Marni Task (an advanced certified Jivamukti teacher and Anusara-inspired instructor). Around the same time she found yoga, she also discovered the teachings of Buddhism and developed a seated meditation practice. Having experienced the transformative and healing power of yoga and meditation, Jennifer is passionate about sharing them with others.

David Moore

David Moore, director at the School for F.M. Alexander Studies, graduated from Australia’s first Alexander Technique training course in Sydney in 1985. After graduating, he spent some weeks each year for a number of years studying with senior American teacher, the late Marjorie Barstow. Since then, he has established private practices in New Zealand and Melbourne, run many workshops and residential courses in Australia and New Zealand, and taught classes in the UK, Germany, Japan, and the US.

Nicki Doane

Devotion to yoga and the desire to share with and give back to the world are what motivate the teaching of Maya yoga with Nicki Doane. Yoga is the spirit in action, and as Nicki teaches, she inspires people to find a place of spirit inside themselves, recognizing the profound connection between the self and spirit. Nicki has been studying yoga in India for years and has been deeply influenced by the teachings of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and B.K.S. Iyengar.

Heidi Dietrich

Heidi’s gentle and restorative approach to the yoga practice incorporates energy work, flower essences, mantra, yantra painting, gemology, and astrology as well as yoga Nidra. She received her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from the Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica in 2009. She also has 108 hours of training in the heart-oriented method of Anusara. In 2013, she completed her 500-hour yoga teacher training with Brenna Geehan and Jean Mazzei of SriYoga in San Francisco.

Rose Maghdouri

Rose completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification under the instruction of Faith Hunter, founder of Spiritually Fly yoga, and teaches both Hatha and Flow classes to all levels of yogis. Rose loves being an entrepreneur, a business owner, and a yogi. Outside of her studio life, Rose is an avid world traveler, who has dived with sharks in South Africa and nearly drowned in a mud pit in Columbia. Combining her love of yoga with her love of travel, Rose co-hosts an annual fitness and empowerment retreat in Costa Rica and other locations.

Dana Baruch

Dana Baruch is a certified life coach, educator of 30+ years, organizational consultant, and community builder. Her first job was as a teaching assistant when she was in the 5th grade and she has been teaching in one fashion or another since then. She has had the pleasure of working with people in every stage of life from infants to seniors. One of her guiding beliefs is: shift happens! She loves to help people and organizations set goals, get clear about their challenges, and feel motivated to make healthy and powerful changes.

Amanda May

Amanda May has been teaching Kundalini yoga since 2008. Something of a traveling yogi, she has years of experience living and working internationally. Amanda is passionate about her family, her practice, her work, and traveling. Amanda is happy to call North Carolina her permanent home. A spinal fracture from a horseback riding accident when she was young left Amanda with pain at an early age. She began practicing yoga in 1993 and it changed her life. Yoga was her pathway to healing, and she quickly discovered the deeper benefits that extended beyond the body to mind and spirit.

Aubrey Zinaich-Howell

Aubrey found Kundalini yoga as a way to calm her mind and her nervous system, providing much-needed relief from the life-long stress of a career in the restaurant industry. As a teacher of Kundalini yoga, Aubrey enjoys guiding others back to the peace and clarity of their inner self. She emanates compassion and deep listening. Her special joy is leading Sadhana, practiced in the early morning hours of dawn.

Ariel Swan

Ariel has been teaching for over 15 years. She started as a dancer and dance teacher and found pilates and yoga through a back injury. She fell in love and has been practicing and teaching ever since. She hopes she can inspire her students to enjoy their bodies, build strength and length, and find a deeper understanding of themselves while doing it. Ariel is inspired by her background in dance, her teacher Master Dhyan Vimal, and believes that it doesn’t matter what your posture looks like on the outside but rather how it feels on the inside.

Alandra Napali Kai

Alandra offers intuitive readings, workshops, intensives, and retreats throughout North, South, and Central America and Europe. She has been working in the fields of transformation, healing, facilitation, and awakening for over 20 years with clients from all walks of life and in over 20 countries. Her training covers a wide variety of modalities. She assists the individual in recognizing and reconnecting back to the truth, the sacred, the love, and celebration inherent in one’s being.

Shannon Smadella

Increasingly drawn to nature-based spirituality, Shannon passionately utilizes yogic tools in support of growth and transformation, holding space with gentle grace in training, workshops, and retreats around the world. Shannon has taught yoga and meditation for the past decade throughout the globe, sharing her passion for ‘healing’ while celebrating the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. A dynamic yoga teacher, energy worker, and life coach, Shannon draws from the Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Jivanmukti, Nidra, Yin and Restorative traditions, providing space for students to journey deeply.

Laura Jane Mellencamp

Certified in 1989, Laura Jane has made the practice and teaching of yoga her life’s work. In 2016, Laura Jane accredited as a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists after a five-year training program. As a clinical psychologist, she enjoys blending her MA in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with her yoga therapy to provide clients with a holistic approach to psychological and emotional imbalances that affect the immune system. Her work has led Laura Jane to participate as a premier provider with Chicago’s Integrated Health Network.

Jenny Tumas

Jenny Tumas has been teaching yoga since 2001 when she completed her first teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. She offers students practices which blend traditional yoga forms, and the grace and power that flows through them, with contemporary forms based on current and evolving understandings of biomechanics and what’s best for real, individual bodies. Her classes blend elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga - all with a focus on the breath and making yoga accessible to all. She is a registered E-RYT 500 and has led several yoga teacher training programs.

Tracy Matthias

Tracy Matthias is a long time practitioner of yoga. Tracy completed her 200-hour teacher training with Jenny Tumas at Marigold Yoga and has taken additional workshops with other teachers. Tracy enjoys teaching and practicing Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Gentle yoga. Her methodical approach to breath awareness and flow sequences will leave you feeling refreshed, euphoric and with newfound strength and flexibility. Tracy embraces the Ashtanga sequence - offering custom instruction, modifications, and hands-on assists if desired.

Amy discovered how expressive and empowering movement can be at a young age and has found joy, inspiration, healing, peace, health, and well-being through various forms of movement over the years. She has used knowledge, combined with passion, to help others embrace wellness for over 25 years with a degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from The University of Texas at Austin.

Margi Clifford

Margi Clifford is an experienced yoga teacher, therapist, and teacher trainer with an infectious passion for the practice. She is committed to diverse populations of practitioners. She is a nature lover, loyal friend, voracious traveler, and ardent student. Margi offers professional counseling and consultation services in Anchorage and via tele-therapy to clients around the world with her company: Yoga for Mental Health.

Hannah Kincaid

Hannah Kincaid is editor-in-chief of Mother Earth Living magazine and has spent the past five years learning from some of the top herbalists and gardeners in the nation. Hannah is passionate about crafting herbal body care products and pressed flower art using homegrown botanicals. She maintains a large organic garden and feels the most alive when her hands are in the soil and her face is turned toward the sun.

Vicky Geros

Vicky completed her Yoga Teacher Training Certification with Erich Shiffmann in 2003 in Los Angeles. While in LA, she also had the honor of practicing and training with some of the top yoga masters in the country, including Shiva Rea, Max Strom, Bryan Kest, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Saul David Raye, and Julian Walker. She also completed a 200-hour RYT training in February 2013 with Divine Shanti Yoga. Vicky also completed Yoga Trance Dance Teacher Certification with Shiva Rea in Venice Beach, CA in April 2015. She has also been a long-time student of Deon De Wet of Deon Thai Yoga Therapy.

Diana

Diana has been practicing various Hatha yoga traditions including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Bikram yoga for the last 18 years. Over the years, not only has she been running the Hot Yoga Studio, she has been a devoted practitioner of various yoga traditions and teaching Bikram yoga and Hot Vinyasa yoga. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT at the 500-hour level and a provider of 200-hour teacher training program. Her classes are described as being fun, authentic, high energy, and alignment oriented. Diana will give you corrections and adjustments when you are ready for them.

Pamela Nelson

Pamela Nelson is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher at the Junior Intermediate II Level. She has become a member of the Iyengar Association of Canada (IYAC) and is certified at the national level. She has practiced yoga for over 24 years and taught for over 13, training exclusively in the Iyengar system. She teaches all level of classes including beginner, all-levels, intermediate, Iyengar Flow, gentle / Restorative, backs, and joints, senior / modified, and youth, and kids. She loves teaching yoga in a way that is accessible to all and to continue in the light of Guruji’s work.

Roxanne Danberg

Roxanne is a certified teacher of iRest Meditation. iRest is a healing and transformative practice based on the ancient teaching of yoga Nidra, but adapted for the modern world. Roxanne has a unique style of teaching that incorporates many styles of yoga. She is constantly learning from different teachers and trying new and different ways of moving the body. Her main focus in teaching asana is the really feel the body and all its layers. Her classes are challenging for all levels, but more importantly intuitive and playful.

Mitch Coleman

Mitch Coleman has been teaching yoga since 2006. He opened his studio, White River Yoga, in Montague, Michigan, in 2007. He received his 200-hour training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2006, and his 500-hour training in Koh Samui, Thailand, with Michel Besnard in 2012. Through his own practice, through leading thousands of classes, and through meeting many kinds, caring, and wonderful people in what he calls ‘yoga world’, he has found the kind of joy that he never thought he could find in any career.

Dakini Jaeger

Dakini grew up in a ballet studio where the concept of taking care of one’s body was non-existent. It was a daily practice of pushing oneself beyond one’s limits where she learned that pain was a reward for being dedicated to the craft. Dakini, now the owner of CorePower Yoga in Denver, CO has been teaching a multitude of different styles of yoga since 2002 and has learned how to once again support the body through alternative healing therapies.

Michele Rath

Michele began her career as an attorney at a large firm in Washington, DC. Michele transitioned from her legal practice to the fitness industry in 2013 when she began teaching group fitness classes. Michele is certified or licensed in Zumba, Tabata Bootcamp, Pilates Reformer, Pilates Mat, Barre, Silver and Fit, TRX, and general group fitness, and is also a certified personal trainer.

Janet creates such a wonderful space to let go of regular life and relax into your practice. It was such a luxury to get to practice yoga 3 times a day at a beautiful retreat resort (Lumeria Maui), in a tropical environment surrounded by likeminded people. Add in a splash of tropical drinks, healthy delicious food and good conversation and it took the typical beach vacation to a whole other level (with plenty of beach time too). I was able to conquer new poses that I never would have normally attempted and came back with a new appreciation for the challenges and clarity that yoga provides me. I describe the yoga retreat as “fancy summer camp for grown ups” with fast friends, meal times and lots of optional activities. It was truly an amazing experience!

The Explorations of Self, A Costa Rica Yoga Experience with Alana Roach for me was truly a life changing event. This being my first yoga retreat, I didn’t know what to expect.
