Join this luxury retreat focusing on a healthy lifestyle, an alkalizing and energizing diet to de-stress and rejuvenate, bringing your body back into health and balance. You will be able to enjoy daily yoga with one of the instructors, daily three-four hour guided scenic hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean, three delicious and highly nutritious fresh vegetarian meals a day, and two massages during your stay.
This luxury home is a bright modern house with a tranquil tropical pool patio. It is like a mini resort featuring an outdoor kitchen and juice bar, shaded dining and comfortable seating areas, sun loungers overlooking the heated pool, colorful flowers, and tropical plants for the full California relaxation and living experience. The spacious living room is perfect for yoga, presentations, and discussions. The den area is perfect to relax and to get to know each other, and the dining room and kitchen are set up to inspire cooking lessons. All bedrooms have a queen bed, bathroom, air conditioning and heating, wireless internet, and television with satellite connection.
During this retreat, you will learn meditation techniques to relieve stress, healthy nutrition, and develop a yoga practice to integrate back into your daily life. With a maximum of six guests per retreat in this intimate setting, they can give you personalized attention during your stay. Also, as part of the program there will be activities for you including a meditation class and a nutrition talk, lessons in healthy cooking, and a Restorative yoga class. There will be early morning yoga every day for levels one to three, as well as meditation with a certified yoga instructor either at the beach or on the property.
You will get to enjoy ocean view hiking everyday with easy to moderate guided hikes that are approximately three to six miles in the stunning Santa Monica Mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Sunset walks every day at the beautiful nearby beach, garden, and lake will also take place. On your last day, kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding, or horse riding can be arranged for you at the going rate.
Each retreat will feature a renowned guest yoga teacher. For the April 24 retreat Andrea Brook will teach a group class and offer one on one sessions where Andrea will design a personalized yoga practice specifically for you and your needs. Andrea Brook has been teaching yoga since 1998, creating her own expression of instruction that is an art form designed to reconnect you to your own wisdom and facilitate the changes you desire. She has studied astanga yoga in Mysore, India with Guruji, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and integral yoga in Rishikesh with Swami Vivekananda Saraswati. In addition, Andrea had the great pleasure to study mindfulness meditation with world renowned teacher, author and activist, Thich Nhat Hahn, and in-depth chakra psychology with Anodea Judith, author of Eastern Body, Western Mind.
Her classes and private lessons are designed to take you on a tour of your self, through your body’s expressions, your emotional responses and your mind’s dialogue between understanding and anxiety, utilizing hatha and kundalini yoga postures and exercises both flowing and static, breathing techniques and mediation practices. she has led workshops and retreats including the Omega Institute, the TED Conference, Richard Branson’s Necker Island, and festivals including Symbiosis, Wanderlust, Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle and the Envision Festival in Costa Rica.
This retreat will take place in Pacific Palisades, California. It is the perfect place for a tranquil retreat. You will be staying in a unique, luxury home with a tropical paradise pool patio, located in the coveted celebrity neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, between Santa Monica and Malibu, at the foot of the Santa Monica mountains, less than a mile from the beach and the Pacific Ocean.

You will be served three healthy meals daily. The alkaline vegetarian meals are prepared with fresh organic, farmer's market produce and designed by the nutritional chef to give you energy and heal the body. Cooking lessons are provided. Included are freshly made green smoothies and alkaline anti-oxidant water is readily available to you.
