Why not try one of these

Refreshing Yoga Retreat Australia with Dagmar Hirsch

Life is complex when you get caught up in thinking and worrying, predicting, and fantasizing what was or will be. Thinking can feel messy when you spend time to seek for answer outside. Simplify means turn inward, don’t judge, feel the present moment and connect with your inner master. Morning yoga practice, pranayama, philosophy, yummy breakfast and dinner, late afternoon practice, and evening satsang will be offered on this retreat.

The Sanctuary Retreat is an affordable and unique rainforest eco-lodge and yoga retreat in Mission Beach, North Queensland, Australia, half way between Townsville and Cairns. It sits on the middle rainforest. The accommodation car park is located 600 meters away from the main building. So you can take a walk and enjoy the rainforest. However, there is also a 4WD vehicle that will transport guests on arrival with their luggage from the car park to the main building between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Rainforest hut

Rainforest hut is accessed by a boardwalk to protect the forest floor. The rainforest huts have no solid walls and instead the timber structure is screened on all four sides with weather proof curtains able to be drawn for privacy and protection from adverse weather. Each hut has a small verandah, simple furnishings, and sleeps two in either double or twin occupancy. It has shared bathroom which is 10 - 70 meters away.

Rainforest en-suite hut

Rainforest en-suite hut is a simple deck extends from the hut, while privacy is created by the natural foliage of the forest. Gravity fed with fresh, cold water collected onsite, the en-suites are appointed with a shower, toilet, and basin fittings of quality and style.

Deluxe canopy cabin

Deluxe canopy cabin is made of solid wooden construction with ample, screened glass windows. The canopy cabins offer maximum protection from the elements, while still offering a close connection to the sights and sounds of the forest. It is larger than the rainforest huts, these cabins are stylishly appointed with polished wooden floors, handmade natural timber furniture and spectacular glass-walled bathrooms looking out high in the trees.

Arrival on the first day is from 12:00. The first yoga class and formal group welcome is at 15:30 in the yoga hut, allowing you time to arrive, get settled into your room, eat well, and perhaps have a massage or swim. Due to flights, people arrive at all different times in the day but aim to be there as early as possible so you have time to unwind and relax before yoga.

With little commercial development and just a small permanent population scattered over 23 kilometers of rainforest-fringed beaches, Mission Beach is a paradise waiting to be discovered.
