During the teacher training course, you will be accommodated at Kaomai Lanna Resort. It is located on the route from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand.
Kaomai Lanna comes from two northern Thai words. "Kaomai" means bush or a garden with big trees while "lanna" is the name of the ancient northern Thai kingdom. Together, Kaomai Lanna means the pleasant garden of Lanna.
In the hotel's 20 acres' natural land, Kaomai Lanna preserves all long age tropical green garden, which makes the boutique resort perfect for the afternoon walk. You can also swim in the pleasant pool in the midst of the greens or get relaxed with the help of the Thai professional masseurs.
The venue is beautiful and peaceful and it’s especially great to have a large swimming pool to plunge into in the heat of the afternoons or to just relax and chill around the pool in the sun chairs with other trainees and teachers.
The yoga shala is wooden-decked and a great space for the training practices and studies. During the training, it’s often possible to practice outside in the shade of the big trees and enjoy the sounds of the nature all around.
Shared accommodation is included in the price. Occasionally the only option to secure a shared spot is to share with the opposite sex. If you specifically do not wish to share with the opposite sex please let Tribe Yoga know in advance. All sharing rooms are comfortable and stylish complete with air conditioning, shower, hot & cold water, and hairdryer and teak furniture. Upgrade to the single accommodation with attached bathroom complete with bath tub and shower is also available. For those who wish to invest in a super luxury stay Kaomai Lanna also have the butterfly room and the brick room.
This Tribe Yoga Ashtanga teacher training is a fantastic learning area. It's an opportunity to practice and study through yogic teachings and disciplines in a safe and supportive environment. The training take all who attend on a special journey of discovery and exploration into the deeper realms of the self, which for many can be a life-changing experience.
The course will be held from Sunday to Friday, with Saturday being a day-off that you can use to do a self-study or relax. The training begins at 14:00 on the arrival day. The training finishes at 11:00 on the last day.
It’s important to recognise that the 3-week training is super intensive, with long days and a demand for continuous focus and commitment. Any schedules ‘time off’ is strictly for self-study and relaxation.
At Tribe they offer 3 to 4 week 200-hour yoga teacher training courses. If you are employed or running a business taking time out to complete a 4-week training may not be possible so we hope this training will support those with busy schedules to attend. The training hours are complete and certificates issued at the end of 3 weeks.
If you don’t have any time pressures you are invited to continue your stay at the venue for further retreat. Attend retreat classes, practice teaching, get support creating your yoga business plan or just relax and unwind .You may also be given the opportunity to teach an afternoon class to the retreat students. This optional digest period is offered with no extra cost.
Scarlett has been a yoga practitioner for more than 20 years and sharing her experience of yoga in many of its various forms with students for over 15 years. Her teaching style for asana originates from her years of study and training in many different styles including Ashtanga, Dynamic yoga, and Tantra yoga. Through simple and clear instructions, Scarlett offers a practical, lighthearted, fun, creative, and spontaneous approach to yoga suited to both beginners and more advanced students.
Emily constantly explores different inspirations of asana and various paths of yoga. Her passion for movement and body awareness coupled with her strong background in anatomy manifests in her teachings as clear, precise, thoughtful instruction. Emily loves sharing her knowledge with her students and feels especially rewarded when someone realizes that they can do something that they previously thought unattainable, breaking down those limitations we create in our mind. She feels a consistent gratitude for all the wonderful teachers she has met along her path.
He began practicing Yoga primarily for its healing benefits and to aid recovery from sporting injuries and noticed significant improvement in reduced recovery time, increased core strength and mental focus. His knowledge of Hatha, Ashtanga, Tantra, Kundalini Yoga and Advaita Vedanta has been deepened by the guidance of many teachers. His experience of these many disciplines from asana to meditation and philosophy has evolved through self discipline, practice and aspiration. His vibrant energy, positive input and expertise as a senior teacher and facilitator is a welcome addition to Tribe Yoga.
Born in 1979, in Tuscany, Italy, movement and the body as an instrument to create harmony have always been an integral part of Gaia's life. In 2011 she studied with Tribe completing the level 1 yoga teacher training. In the same year she studied Yoga for kids and Families with Rainbow Kids Yoga in Rome Italy. In 2014 she completed her level 2 training with Tribe. In 2015 she was a teacher assistant on two Tribe level 1 trainings and following that became a primary teacher on the Tribe teaching team. She has since taught on 3 Tribe one month yoga teacher training courses.
This teacher training course will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Breakfast, lunch, and a light evening meal are included in the training cost. All meals are mainly vegan, delicious, healthy, vegetarian, and include tofu dishes, brown rice, and fresh fruits. Sometimes there will be egg on the menu. The food is prepared without the use of monosodium glutamates. Any special diets like vegan and gluten intolerant can easily be catered for.
Sunday is a special yoga fast day, so there will be fruit only for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All trainees are encouraged to participate in the fast and for those who wish to opt out of the fast day can order and pay for meals from the venue restaurant.

Please book your flight to arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Tribe Yoga will pick you up from the airport. Flying from Bangkok to Chiang Mai is the most convenient. It costs as little as 20 EUR and it takes just over an hour.
You can book a bus service from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The ride takes 11 hours and costs less than the train service but expect a much more tiresome journey.
You can get a train ride from Bangkok that costs about 15 EUR and takes approximately 12 hours to get to Chiang Mai.
