This is your time and place to slow down and recharge in beautiful Tulum, Mexico. Have a more intimate retreat or vacation experience, where you can add a personalized yoga session with Tribal Yoga Tulum. You may choose your preferred yoga style: Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin, or Restorative. If you prefer, you may also have the combination of them all. After classes, you can explore the authentic Mexican Tulum Pueblo that is accessible by bike, car, or taxi to the magnificent Tulum Beach.
You will have a cozy stay at Acuatic Lofts, a beautiful loft apartment on the bike path to the beach in Tulum Mexico. Each room has AC, balcony, ceiling fans, king-sized bed, kitchenette, and private bath. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Upon arrival, you will be able to retreat and relax. You will be greeted and shown to your private loft, and to the yoga studio. You may start with a yoga practice or choose to go swimming at the beach. Tribal Yoga Tulum can help you book a dive for the following day and plan your days around the yoga schedule.
This is an a la carte retreat and the day can be shaped according to your wishes, energy levels and preferred style of yoga. Tribal Yoga Tulum offers daily classes, which you may combine: Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyassa Flow, Yin Yoga and Restorative practices. Eugenia received her certification in Hatha yoga in 2006 and since 2009, her study and teaching are dedicated to the Iyengar method. She came to Tulum in 2014. In early 2015, she completed her grade II certification in the Iyengar tradition of yoga. She constantly updates her knowledge and teaching skills about the Iyengar method through workshops and seminars. She teaches Iyengar yoga 5 times a week at Tribal, and one Saturday a month, she teaches a restorative Iyengar class. Tribal Yoga has wall fitted ropes that are used in Eugenia’s classes to perfect the alignment in the asanas.
Joanne has been sharing her humor, sense of vitality and her yoga practice with people in Tulum since 2006. Her practice is based in Vinyasa flow tailored to the needs of her students. She combines her yoga with a lifetime of body-knowledge developed as a competitive athlete. Her life philosophy of cherishing each moment and our selves is evident in each of her practices reminding us that each breath and each moment is a gift. Joanne is accredited to teach yoga by the AAAI/ISMA, (American Aerobic Association International/International Sports Medicine Association).
Chelsea is a long-time California transplant who adores her (sun-safe) beach life. She began her practice at Moxie Yoga & Fitness in the Mission District of San Francisco and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Dicha in Tulum, Mexico. She is passionate about arm balances, good food, and her dog, Lulu. Her Ashtanga-inspired Vinyasa classes are energizing sequences focused on safe alignment and intentional movement. Though she is thrilled by challenges, she believes there is incredible strength in being gentle with oneself.
Iris completed her Sivananda Yoga Teacher training in 2001 at the Bahamas and has been teaching Hatha yoga ever since. She provides treatments, classes, and consultations in Ayurveda since graduating from California College of Ayurveda in 2005. She completed additional Ayurvedic studies at the Ayurvedic Institute in 2007 in NM. Yoga and Ayurveda provided profound relief for Iris from chronic illnesses such as CFS and Fibromyalgia from a young age.
Adriana found that the most rewarding thing about teaching is to see all the gentle smiles on her student’s faces when they are in savasana. Adriana goes on to explain that while students are in savasana, she feels them all drift away. She can feel their consciousness in another place. Originally from Mexico City, Adriana received her first certification in Ashtanga yoga at the Purno Ham studio there. Also, she completed a 300-hour teacher training with Bryan Kest (Power Yoga) in Tulum, Mexico. She teaches Vinyasa flow classes at Tribal.
Daria found yoga more than 12 years ago and it has helped to heal her body, mind, and heart along the way of past injury. She has studied with Shiva Rea, Mathew Cohen and Jorgen Christiansson in California and received her 300-hour Yoga Alliance certification from Daniel Aaron of radiantly Alive Yoga in Ubud, Bali. She teaches Restorative, Yin and Children's yoga at Tribal.
Flavio grew up in Mexico City with a passion for innovative ideas and extreme sports and, like many people, he began practicing yoga to cure an injured ankle in 2001 while he was studying industrial engineering. He was fascinated at the way the human body mimicked the industrial machines he was studying and through his Hatha yoga practice, he correlated the repair of his body to a technical repair like the restoration of a machine. He was certified to teach in 2011 and shortly after he came to the Mexican Caribbean and Tulum to find more yoga and balance in his life.
Your retreat will take place in Tulum, Mexico, in the state of Quintana Roo at the Yucatan peninsula. The retreat location combines the most beautiful mix of turquoise Caribbean sea, white sands, secret lagunas, underwater caves and wonders, Mayan ruins and jungle adventure, as well as of course wonderful yoga and delicious food.
The lofts have a kitchenette where you can have the flexibility to cook your own meals, or you can simply choose for catered meals at an additional cost. At your doorsteps, there is a wide range of options of food available.
"Staying in Tulum with Tribal Yoga was an amazing experience. The lofts are absolutely lovely, spacious, clean and modern. Classes are taking place int a very open and modern studio at the same place. The location is great, very quiet and between town and the beach.
