You will stay in one of the fabulous, private loft-style apartments. Each has a full bath, king-sized bed, fridge, kitchenette with coffee maker, and blender. For those who are sharing, there is a queen-sized sofa bed. All the lofts have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and Wi-Fi. Some have a gas stove in the kitchenette.

Three of the four have private balconies but all have access to their roof deck for star gazing and resting. The lofts are just below or next to the yoga studio, Tribal Tulum, and above their partner's dive shop, Aquatic.

The lofts are on the bike path that joins Tulum Pueblo to the Tulum Beach. Spacious and luminous, they are just in the right spot to connect the beach and town so you can explore on your bike.


If you want to move forward while learning from and respecting your heritage, this retreat is for you. If you understand that yoga and meditation are healing ways to reconcile the past with your dreams for the future, you won't be disappointed in this Dia de Muertos Intimate Retreat.

During these seven nights of private accommodation in the fantastic loft-style apartments you’ll be greeted in a welcome circle with a Tarot reading after arriving in the scheduled airport transfer. You will have daily continental breakfast either in your loft or as a group, you will join for two organized dinners, a fantastic snorkel excursion to amazing cenotes and a traditional Mayan temazcal, Cenote baptism, and a humble Mayan meal after.

All activities are designed to allow you to dig deeply into your daily practice and intention to heal the past and move forward.

Daily itinerary

Day 1: October 28th, Wednesday

  • Group transport leaves Cancun at 2 p.m.
  • Arrival at 4 p.m.
  • 17:00 Yoga option
  • Welcome circle in the garden at 7 p.m. with light snack and altar creation

Day 2: October 29th, Thursday

  • Rooftop Tarot and continental breakfast on the rooftop
  • 10:00 Yoga
  • Beach afternoon
  • Bike through town for any altar displays, past cemetery, Mexican dinner (Charlie's)

Day 3: October 30th, Friday

  • Sunrise meditation and 30 minutes Yin yoga on the beach. Swim and/or beach walk
  • Breakfast tacos in the garden on return
  • Option for 10 a.m. yoga practice
  • Journaling and relaxation
  • 17:00 Yoga

Day 4: October 31st, Saturday

  • 10:00 Yoga
  • Snorkel and Cenote exploration/excursion at Tankah

Retreat location

Your retreat takes place in magical Tulum, Mexico at Tribal Tulum's world-class yoga studio with wood floors, wall ropes, treetop views, amazing classes, and fantastic teachers. They are in the state of Quintana Roo, on the Yucatan peninsula, just south of Playa del Carmen and Cancun.

Tulum has been named a “pueblo magico” and has a wonder all its own. Tribal Tulum's four loft light and spacious apartments are on the bike path that joins Tulum Beach and Tulum Pueblo Magico. They are a short distance from the beach, the area’s amazing cenotes, and Mayan ruins.

The studio is in a central location, within walking to restaurants, several grocery stores, and some beautiful shops as well as biking to the beach and the town. The connected and friendly staff will guide you in the various excursions included in the retreat.


This intimate retreat focused on respecting your past while letting it go. Tribal Tulum includes a welcome snack and group introduction Wednesday night after arrival, altar contributions, daily continental breakfast (either with supplies in your fridge or in the garden area), two organized group dinner, snacks/boxed lunches on excursions. Loft spaces have kitchenettes and there are multiple restaurants and a supermarket close by. Purified drinking water, coffee, and tea, as well as Mayan honey, are stocked in the lofts.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Cancún International Airport (CUN). There is one group transfer shuttle from Cancun Airport to Tribal Lofts meeting all participants Wednesday, October 28th, at 2 p.m. For guests who arrive early, there will be a meeting place. Guests who arrive later, pay their transport (225 USD round trip), or can organize a different option such as renting a car, private transfer, or public bus. Contact Tribal Tulum for more info. The airport transfer time are 2 p.m. for pick up and 12 p.m. for transfer. Please consider these hours when booking your flights.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
