Tree House Lodge is a hidden treasure and your best choice of natural and eco-friendly tree houses in Costa Rica. These are houses available for spending your vacation. All the houses are set up for self-catering, with a stove, a fridge, solar powered hot running water, and a good range of utensils, including a juicer and a coffee maker. They all have access to a BBQ.
This is an original and striking building with a futuristic look, full of unusual shapes and colors. The size of the bathroom is outstanding and really surprises for the creativity of its design. Its ideal for a group of friends (3-6), thanks to its 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an extra separate WC, a spacious living room and eating terrace. Hammocks rock in the open wall spaces on the deck and theres a double shower in one corner and a huge Jacuzzi bath in the middle. The house is full of fantasy, and for some a true collection of luxury and imagination.
Built on tall stilts, this back-to-your-childhood house is submerged by the forest, with a sloped wooden suspension bridge leading steeply to its front door. Inside its split in two levels: upstairs, a double king size bed and a small en-suite toilet. Downstairs, a double bed, a single bed and a kitchen. Theres enough room for a family, however also very romantic and very suited to a couple. All of the furniture is hand carved in sustainable wood, windows are open but screened against bugs, while scarlet Birds of Paradise flowers provide splashes of color. The shared bathroom is on ground level and a 100-year-old Sangrillo tree shelters a toilet in one trunk fold, and an outdoor shower in another.
This house was built entirely from fallen Nispero (loquat) trees that were oxen dragged from deep in the rainforest, the beach house lies 80 meters from the shoreline, so you can actually lie on bed and watch the waves lap the beach. A thatched dome roof, shuttered windows and rattan walls keep it cool and airy inside and a beautiful wooden staircase spirals up through the center. This is also a split-level design, with a master bedroom on the top floor and an open-plan living space down below, with a double bed, a sitting area and a kitchen. The house is great for families (2-5) and theres an additional single bed available. The organically shaped bathroom is enclosed yet light, thanks to a glass roof, and made entirely from stone, with a walk-in shower and plants throughout.
This was built almost entirely from bamboo and sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. Intimate and quirky, this is ideal for a family or two couples, it has a well equipped kitchen, a cozy lounge, a bathroom (with another separate WC and basin upstairs), and the added extra of an outdoor hot tub. It shares a private gate with the beach suite, allowing extra security, and is only 150 meters from the beach. From the outside it looks like a Wendy House, with vermillion walls and a pointed bamboo roof. Inside, the furniture is built from tree trunks and clad in bright linens.
The crystal house is neighboring with the tree house and was previously used as the owners residence. Over 5 thousand bottles have been used in construction of this house. You could say: a byproduct of all the happy tree house visitors who stayed before. The concept of inviting nature within the walls of your living was used in this building as nowhere else. This huge fig tree is surrounded with plants from the tropical rainforest stand in the middle of the living and is surrounded with decks and part of the living room. Its most similar to a patio, but in its own creative style. It has two bedrooms with a king size bed each, and two private bathrooms.
The Tree House is located in Punta Uva, within the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, in the province of Limn, Costa Rica. The complex is located on a 10 acre ocean front property in the famous Punta Uva beach, just south of Puerto Viejo in the province of Limon. Total privacy, a natural tranquil atmosphere, and full relaxation are keywords for the time you will spend at the tree house. With your own beach access and 300 meter beach front, you wont have to meet anybody else during your stay at this hideaway. The Punta Uva beach is right in front of the tree house. This beach is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
Each customer receives a free welcome breakfast the first morning of stay.
Playa Chiquita and Punta Uva beach are excellent places to get lost, swim, and view the wonderful underwater marine world. Every day at 4 oclock a group of people meet to play volleyball on the beach. Young and old are welcome to join.
