Weekend Yoga Retreat Germany

Experience an autumn weekend of yoga, hiking, and wellness at the heart of Bavaria in the idyllic Altmühl Valley. Combine yoga with hiking and enjoy also the healthy cuisine and local traditions. If you are new to yoga, this retreat is for you. Traveling Yoga will give you a solid basis for your future practice. They will take care of you and your needs and dedicate some extra time to teach you the basics.

Accommodation

The accommodation options available are on private and double room basis. The beautifully renovated hotel is an ancient rural house. It has a beautiful garden that can be used for yoga if the weather allows it. All of the rooms have their own telephones and linens. When booking for a shared double room, you will be assigned a roommate of the same gender.

Traveling Yoga Germany Yoga Retreat Itinerary

Daily schedule

  • 08:00 Engage in an inspiring yoga class of light asanas and pranayama suitable for intermediate practitioners and beginners
  • 09:00 Eat a good and healthy breakfast that will give you the energy to explore the beautiful surroundings
  • 10:00 Hike and walk for four to five hours with a nice picnic stop-­over
  • 17:30 Join the yoga session with nice stretching
  • 19:30 Dinner

Gentle Hatha yoga

You will practice gentle yoga poses or asanas, which will strengthen your body, improve your balance, and help you relax. In this class, the basics of yoga will be explained in detail, so it is the ideal class for beginners. You will also learn breathing techniques, easy sequences, meditation, and relaxation.

Hatha Vinyasa yoga

It is open to practitioners of all levels. The asana options will be provided for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Traveling Yoga will do flowing Vinyasa sequences, which are fast paced and invigorating. This is an intense class, so be prepared to sweat. Pranayama or breathing techniques, as well as relaxation and meditation are part of every class.

Included excursions

During this retreat, you will have four-hour excursions on Saturday and another on Sunday. You will also be exploring the idyllic valley, strolling along the golden forests, and visiting ancient castles.

Chiara Zanetti
Association of Yoga and Meditation Rishikesh International Yoga Federation (Yoga)
Chiara is a yoga teacher, a travel guide, and a Thai yoga massage practitioner. She aims to integrate yoga into the everyday life, bringing the positive effects of this ancient philosophy even to the working environment. In 2011, she spent two months in India and completed the yoga teacher training course recognized by Yoga Alliance and the International Yoga Federation. For her, it was a full immersion in the discipline she has been practicing for years, a study of a wide range of ancient and modern yoga styles: Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Kundalini, Prenatal, and Power yoga.
Jürgen Husch
Jürgen is a yoga teacher, travel guide, and Thai yoga massage practitioner. He is a passionate traveler. Asia, the Pacific region, and South America are the places which inspire him most. He spends most of the time outdoors. In cultural impressive places and surrounded by beautiful nature Jürgen started his path towards meditation. Jürgen is especially interested in Buddhist philosophy and the related meditation techniques of Vipassana and Osho meditation. At Traveling Yoga, Jürgen takes care of the meditation and the sports events on-site and gives yoga classes.

How to get there

Driving directions from Berlin

  • Take the A9 to Nürnberg and then take the exit to Eichstätt.
  • Walting is about 80 kilometers north of Munich.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Munich Airport (MUC).

Arrival by train

Take the intercity train to Ingolstadt and the regional train to Eichstätt. From Eichstätt, Traveling Yoga can pick you up by car for 20 EUR.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
