The accommodations are available in en-suite rooms which are offered on a shared twin, double, or single basis.
The bedrooms are all spacious and en-suite either twin, double or single.
The daily yoga sessions will be a mix of Dynamic, Restorative, and Yin yoga, pranayama and meditation. These are open to all, beginners and advanced practitioners alike. The morning practice will be Dynamic yoga. It will be energizing, focusing on the balance between strength and flexibility, setting you up for the day. The evening sessions will be more Restorative with Yin yoga and breathing practices to relax.
A beach trip is included in the price as well as an aromatherapy workshop. Several sandy, secluded, and unspoiled beaches can be found within approximately 20 minutes' drive from the venue, inside one of Spain’s largest national parks, the Cabo de Gata. Tracey Yoga can provide you with parasols and a picnic for a day of swimming and sunbathing. The beaches are usually warm enough to be enjoyed from May through to the end of October.

This retreat will be held in Almeria, Spain. The venue is in a peaceful location, but within walking distance of the lovely, traditional, local town which can be seen across the valley at the foot of the spectacular mountain backdrop. Almeria is Spain’s sunniest region and one of the least crowded. Its proximity to North Africa means that the area is semi-desert, dry and dramatic, with imposing mountains and a dazzling sea.
It has a wonderful, wild coastline which you will have seen more times than you think as it is used as the backdrop in many films including Indiana Jones, Lawrence of Arabia, and Sergio Leone’s famous Spaghetti Westerns!
For this retreat, you will be served with locally-sourced handmade vegetarian meals, prepared freshly by the in-house chef. Breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals will be readily available for you as well as drinks and snacks between meals.
There will be plenty of time to take in the beautiful countryside, with lovely walks from your doorstep. The pretty town of Najir is within walking distance to explore its local crafts and cafes. You could also just relax by the pool or take a swim. An additional aromatherapy massage will also be available. There are several options for things to do in the area. Tracey Yoga can arrange transport at an extra cost, depending on the numbers.
The city of Almeria is half an hour from Nijar. The 10th century Alcazabar is a fortified complex within Almeria city and is the largest Muslim fortress in Spain. The cathedral is also impressive. You could have a day out to visit the nearby western style town which was the set for Sergio Leone’s famous "Spaghetti Westerns." The Arizona style landscape of Almeria has been extensively used for many films over the years, including Lawrence of Arabia and Indiana Jones.
Granada and the Alhambra are approximately an hour and a half scenic drive from Nijar through the Sierra Nevada mountains. If you are interested in this trip, it would be a full day’s outing, tickets for the Alhambra need to be booked well in advance. Transport costs depend on numbers, but would be around 75 EUR per person.
The pretty, local village of Nijar is within walking distance and offers a variety of craft shops and picturesque places to sit and have a drink al fresco. There is also a tennis court in Nijar, and a nearby hotel offers horse-riding.
The spa of Sierra Alhamilla, with its healing hot springs, was first built by the Phoenicians in 300 B.C. and later used by the Romans when Spain was part of the Roman Empire. Various beauty treatments are available. It is about 45 minutes' drive from the finca.
Please book your flight to arrive at Almeria Airport (LEI). This is is the closest airport to the venue and just 30 minutes away by taxi. Skyscanner is a useful comparison website for looking at the different options for your flight bookings. Monarch Airlines, easyJet Airlines, and Thomas Cook all fly to Almeria on these dates.
Taxi transfers from the airport cost 50 EUR each way. If four people travel in the same taxi, the cost would be 25 EUR per person return.
